I think it's easy to figure out why. Any excuse to bash this woman, in thread after thread.

If they don't like her, why not just ignore her? But no, they return to their object of fascination again and again.

I think it’s a perfectly fine note and the fact that she can be this upbeat after all the negativity shows her to be very professional imho.

It may be strange to people in the UK, but she’s aiming at an American market. It’s marketing pure and simple. Instead of sponging off the tax-payer, they are trying to finance themselves.

i think the posters who do that ,who are normally part of the Wales squad, think its funny. the same with Harold and silly stuff like that.

I was thinking this earlier; people whinged when she wasn’t working and now they’re whinging when she is. If you don’t like what’s she’s selling, don’t buy, but don’t bash the woman for trying her hand at a variety of things till she finds her passion. She’s trying to work, just leave her be!

Same. I’m not bothered about the royals and their various family members and friends but I’m just sick to the back teeth of how people are attacking Meghan. It’s embarrassing for those who do it and I feel so sorry for her and her family, no matter what you do or how hard you try, scores of people will be at home finding the bad in what you do.

We’ve been it before and we will see it again, but I’m fucking sick of it. The same people who will rant about supporting women are happy to gleefully tear one down for nothing but a bit of fun. And they will go offline and not even think about her, meanwhile she will likely think about nothing else.

Handwriting experts would have a field day with those excessive flourishes and twirly bits on the first letters. Nobody writes like that!

Also - this was not a private note. This is a move from someone who knows that she is under lots of scrutiny and anything she does will attract attention. This note was written with the knowledge that it would absolutely end up on the internet within hours.

I agree. My handwriting looks like I did it with my foot while blindfolded and I would love to be able to write beautifully, but this is nearly illegible.

It's terrifying but I think it's important to realise these crazies are out there. My best friend who is a teacher uses some of these threads as examples of social media toxicity.

I’ve been reading other threads on this board today. At the moment, out of the first 10 threads, 9 are about Meghan or Harry and they are up to ‘part 6’ of threads about Meghans As Ever brand. Together with this thread where posters have twisted what happened, it’s clear to me that hating Meghan is a hobby for some people. I can’t believe the shit I’ve read today and quite how much there is of it.

It’s quite disappointing that mumsnet are hosting a board that is full of hate directed at 2 individuals. Even if the posts stay within talk guidelines, the sheer number of spiteful comments become bullying. This isn’t what free speech is for.
