I just hate that being devalued, think of the people struggling against racism and prejudice every day, without being so wealthy and privileged.

I’m not sure they have done their best to present this.

I’m reading over on Reddit, that Netflix flew out Meghans Tig fans and put them up in a hotel for the preview of With love and the As ever products.

This has lead to these young women putting out various gushing Tik Toks

It’s very very sad. These women look unstable and not well. One in particular, who started contacting Meghan as a 13 year old in particular. This is someone who posted pictures of her tears as a kid, when meghan engaged with her tweets etc.

There’s a line that’s clealry been blurred, with Meghan who was an adult contacting the teens online and forming a relationship. These girls went on to run her fan page and contribute to the Tig. They were dropped in 2017 and have now been picked back up again…..with NF covering the costs. How sad.

Interesting also that Archewell supports the Parent Network which to inform parents about the dangers for children online.

A bit like Clarkson. Known for his car shows (and being a controversial figure), pivots into farming shows and creates a 2nd phenomenally successful series/brand. Yes it's heavily scripted and edited of course but it shows the pitfalls and the trials n tribulations along the way. It features likeable characters that have back stories and depth and it shows humanity and warmth.

Yeh, it’s actually really distressing seeing one particular woman on Tik Tok and seeing what she posted as a kid. She’s clearly not well and has an unhealthy relationship with Meghan. Meghan met up with her at the recent NYC As ever event and they had a pic taken. She even contributed to the Tig- with Meghan writing about how she inspired her to do volunteer work and the girl shared her story.

But it’s the fact she was dropped and now has been picked up again, that’s just as sad.

These young women are probably the ones hard at work accusing the media and other of racism etc

Wow! That story about the TikToker is dreadful. To be contacting a child (who you know is a child) online is … not great. To be constantly (and the evidence I’m screen shots is there) engaging with these kids as a fan base shows a dreadful lack of judgement.

It also explains a lot about the kind of comments left here and elsewhere by the die hard Meghan stans. Extremely emotionally immature language., lack of cultural knowledge and hysterical hype. It all makes sense now!

How can she stand on her soap box and preach about internet safety for kids when she has broken the most cardinal rule. Adults should not be engaging in personal friendships online with children at this level of personal engagement. What the F did she think she was doing?

@Itsalwaysfools I have always wanted to bring up Clarksons farm but I was wary because I know he's a marmite figure. Part of the reason that show works is because he happily lets other people have the spotlight. He respects the knowledge of people of others and listens. He isn’t afraid to look a bit stupid when he makes mistakes. The show also has authenticity. The people are all genuinely passionate about farming and the land and it shows. That's why it makes great television. It's like the opposite of With Love Meghan.

And the evidence is all there. I don’t think I’d believe Meghan could behave in such a way, until I seen the Tik Toks, the girls online activity as a kid etc

But it’s the fact Meghan dropped her and now for some mad reason, is getting this ill woman involved again. Trying to get her to promote her on Tik Tok

Meanwhile this poor woman thinks Meghan is amazing and can’t see how this could be seen as abusive. Meghan gave this woman gifts as kid and had a pet name for her. This is all documented online. It wasn’t hidden.

I couldn’t agree more. Whether you like Clarkson or not he makes compelling TV. He’s not afraid to make a fool of himself. His girlfriend calls him a feckin eejit at one point. Poor old Meghan cannot cope with even mild teasing. Nevertheless I’ve quite enjoyed what I’ve seen of her program. Fascinating.

Wow, that is shocking, hard to believe Meghan not only engaged with a group of very young teenagers but actively encouraged their adoration of her, wishing them happy birthday', thanking them for their adoration and telling them she loves them. The poor kid was under the impression Meghan is a friend.

If Meghan Markle was a male and this came out about him it would be one massive scandal.

This is not 20 years ago, this is barely 10 years ago when we all knew the dangers of internet, even as a celeb it would have had to be a bit of a dangerous liaison encouraging unknown teenage 'stalkers' .

I agree with @Serenster that the messaging on the 'renewal' which is not in fact a renewal has been a very rare PR success on Meghan's part.

I wouldn't be surprised if 'series' 2 includes more shots of the children. She's clearly building up to that, and it's also hard to see what 'celebrity friends' she has left to drag in. And just because we don't see the children's faces, doesn't mean that they aren't being used in her PR. The 'back of the head' thing is her way of showing the kids but not showing them.

Crucually though, the People Magazine puff piece said "return" not "renewal". It's really important to note their words. I find all this crowing about hoodwinking of viewers quite stomach-turning, and diametrically counter to the supposed message of the series, kindness, friendship, good vibes. This feels like vengeance, oneupmanship and metaphorical finger flipping, and a stubborn refusal or inability to accept that one is not as great as one thinks one is in the eyes of others. Cynical and sad.

Something I've not yet seen mentioned around the "Meghan Sussex" name issue, is that wasn't there a rumour (albeit unproven) that she'd had a hissy fit coming back from Invictus because the border control officer called her Ms Markle rather than the Duchess of Sussex as that was what was in her passport. If that were the case, then it would make the whole "family name" of Sussex thing even more ridiculous.

I've not watched the interviews but is she actually trying to claim that's her surname (Meghan Sussex) or that being the D&D of Sussex is the family name - so she and Harry are D&D and the kids are known at school as Lili Sussex etc. either way, seems a very odd point to be pressing.

WLM down to 8 in the UK top ten as of this morning I noticed, I suspect it will drop off entirely in a day or two.

I also suspect the original part 1 will have been January and the second part April. They have delayed it to the Autumn to re-edit and possibly re-film parts, having heard the criticism. And potentially they still need to edit out remaining references to ARO and product place the As Ever range.

Initially I tend to think that things like this are made up to diss Meghan but the reality is that there are people out there who will drill down and get the truth and often they usually are true! That event was such a bizarre thing to witness- Meghan like mother Theresa holding that child/woman's face in both her hands. It's like the things you see on all these cult programmes on Netflix. That could be a new series for her? The Cult of Montecito?

The series was filmed in April 2024, so the timing with Invictus 2025 doesn't add up. But, it's interesting to see what was happening in the news last April, in the light of Catherine's illness announcement, and renewed calls for their titles to be stripped.
