  1. Animal rights activist. Something about chickens, I vaguely remember, though it’s a bit of a blur. That said, the only truly positive story I remember reading about her in Tom Bowles’ book was her alleged fury at seeing a parrot in a cage in a windowless hotel corridor and demanding to move to a different (expensive) hotel as a result. Kudos to her, if that story is true.

Sorry I’m only at 11th March, but had to stop and say how unimpressed I am if that’s true. I’d have been advocating for the parrot to be moved. Moved to an enclosure where it could at least fly, not demanding to move myself so it was out of sight, out of mind.

I posted the same. Typical example of their grand gestures but no action.

I think less of her for leaving that poor parrot.

He clearly doesn’t like her, no - but that doesn’t mean what he says isn’t true.

funnily enough no lawsuit against him, from a notoriously litigious couple. You’d expect them to sue if anything he claimed was untrue.

It's not as simple as that, there will be truth in what Bower has said but that doesn't guarantee the validity of all he claims. For them to take bower to court for any untruths would result in confirmation of the truths he has told or releasing correspondence that might damage them more than a book of speculation.

WatchOutMissMarpleIsAbout · 17/03/2025 08:30

Bower definitely doesn’t like Meghan but I’d be surprised if what he said isn’t accurate. The couple challenged the BBC and then left it when they pushed back. If there the allegations weren’t true there would have been a statement at the very least imo.

Mylovelygreendress · 17/03/2025 08:34

I wouldn’t be surprised if Bower has another book up his sleeve in the event of a divorce ( and no I don’t hope they divorce)

Mayomash · 17/03/2025 10:14

Interesting that Bower was at the Invictus Games - I suspect sniffing around for gossip rather than a longterm active interest in veterans?

Yes, I read this a lot, that if a journalist or whatever, was writing untrue things about them they’d sue. But as far as I know, they don’t sue anyone for lying or passing on rubbish rumours, and plenty of people are doing it. And they can’t all be true.

First of all, where would they begin? There have been so many stories about them that have proven, in the course of time, to have no foundation. Stories often just fizzle out. Their lives would be consumed by it if they started suing. I think the RF method of ignoring the rubbish works for them in this. It’s also a common response of celebrities to rumours.

Harry has sued news media for hacking, & blagging. And he’s suing for security. Meghan sued the Mail online for using excerpts of her letter to her father. As far as I know they’ve not bothered to sue over tabloid rumours and accusations, have they?

Wasn’t that because someone, either the bbc or another news media (and the bbc reported on it?) hired a private investigator to dig into Meghan’s past life. Something like that anyway. Gross invasion of her privacy.

WatchOutMissMarpleIsAbout · 17/03/2025 10:44

I was talking about the name Lilibet that the queen was happy with it or some such. There was a push back, I think from Harry, which wasn’t acted upon when the bbc stood their ground.

I’m sure he was there for the same reason the Sussex squad were!
although he at least didn’t film himself abusing and bullying anyone!

No !
the bbc reported that they didn’t ask for permission to use “ lillibet” as a name and that Harry wasn’t being truthful when he said they did.
Harry threatened to sue , but the bbc didn’t back down because they had concrete evidence.

Interesting that Meghan was at the Invictus games, I suspect sniffing around for a photo op rather than a long term interest in veterans.

Bower is an investigative journalist and Canada is a free country. Being there to observe the Sussexes and (I hope) look into what the Invictus charity is doing with the taxpayer money it has been given is not a contrary position to being interested in the veterans. In any event, there appeared to be hardly anyone spectating anyway, so it's not as if he was depriving someone more interested of a seat, is it. And, as pp points out, he wasn't actively harassing and bullying anyone, unlike the Sussex Squad.

FromTheOfficeOfJammyTodger · 17/03/2025 18:04

Interesting compare and contrast for you. This is Pamela Anderson's appearance on Drew Barrymore last year. Note the calmness and genuine intimacy of both of them in conversation, compared to the hyped up near hysteria of the MM interview.

Meghan now making green waffles for St Patrick's day.

FromTheOfficeOfJammyTodger · 17/03/2025 21:32

Green waffles pretty much sums up her's and her husband's hypocrisy over the environment.

Thanks Miss Marpel. I wasn’t sure about what happened with the bbc.

Apparently (according to Twin Talk) Markle’s fans are jubilantly claiming she’s responsible for giving the sales of Le Creuset a boost, Iconic Le Creuset, around for 100 years. Bless.

Weepixie · 18/03/2025 04:28

I can only assume Meghans fans are idiots who think Meghan series was all about Meghan trying was trying to make money for other companies instead of herself.

Apparently Black Women in America never felt they could buy Le Creuset - until Meghan showed them they could. 🙄

Is Le Creuset new to the US? Everyone I knew had Le Creuset as a wedding present- you could tell when they got married by the colour of their Le Creuset, we were the “Flame” generation. Lifting a full casserole and bringing it to table is the ultimate workout. No wonder she has toned arms!

Green waffles pretty much sums up her's and her husband's hypocrisy over the environment.

The finished waffle is not the one she cooked. Her waffle maker has four sections, the finished waffle doesn't.

Why does she lie continually? And did no-one spot this huge error before she posted?

ThePoshUns · 18/03/2025 09:12

Is MM making green waffles because Kate is in the papers doing her duties for St Patrick’s Day? 🙄
