It's sort of now the Meghan need to do a eff you and continue promoting. There was the pre airing posting but now is usually the time a person instagram fills up with thank you to those supporting her and there are some. They both must be relieved that the show was postponed, imagine having to smile at Invictus after this. The after silence may indicate that the hammering the show is getting is impacting Meghan.

I agree. The criticism is now relentless and I really don't know how anybody could actually cope with it.

I would feel sorry for her if she'd just stop performing for attention.
But she just keeps going with more and more self agrandising self promotion. It's hard to then feel sympathy for the feedback she gets.

I agree she needs to stop, enjoy her life, her family, her wealth, her health and live quietly. We'd then soon stop caring about her or having an opinion.
But she won't.

JSMill · 05/03/2025 16:14

Amal Clooney? You are joking. She's an accomplished human rights lawyer.

Stickystickysticky · 05/03/2025 16:14

She is a fascinating character, apparently thin skinned as doesn't take criticism or direction well but thick skinned enough to plough ahead regardless of the criticism . I would be broken if it were me and read the comments and reviews. Unless she really does believe that she's this amazing person and everyone else is wrong.

But she has said that she doesn't read about herself as it's all 'just noise'.

She does, however, read 'The Economist'.

NB: Amal Clooney (?) There’s time. I applaud Harry’s work on Invictus, couldn’t they both add more value here & so, in time, earn stripes?

Amal Clooney is an international human rights lawyer.

she could always stfu if she can't put up with it.
neither of them need the mone, though Ginge was once asked about the inheritance from his mother and he said that was to be passed onto his kids, not spent so they obviously don't like to spend their own money

Why should she?

She’s been in and around showbizz all of her life; it’s her trade if you like.

The people who are obsessively negative about her who slavishly follow the tabloid line need to desist and change their ways.

I was responding to @JSMill and @friendlycat talking about how anyone copes with such relentless negative press coverage, not advising that Meghan retreats because I am fed up with her.

And was well known in international legal circles before George came along.

The fact that no one is going to pay you to travel the world giving speeches in couture unless you have actually built something concrete and long lasting in the world, seems to have passed both Harry and Meghan by.

The thing is, as a working royal she would indeed have had opportunities to travel the world giving speeches in couture. She may not have been 'paid' for it as such, but she would have had a luxury home, taxpayer funded security, a subsidised wardrobe, a whole team of staff paid for by someone else, and much more besides. But they walked away from all that.

Amal Clooney the internationally respected human rights lawyer? I'm not sure she is a good response in this context. She is the embodiment of the substance Meghan lacks on an international stage.

Harry's work setting up Invictus is worthy of respect I agree. Unless he's speaking about how to set up games I'm sure there are better qualified people to talk about the needs of veterans.

I think Kate represented every girl and woman MM aspired to be and wasn't. It's why she had to get out: she wants to be #1. Kate was the British equivalent of the Californian swishy haired rich blonde girl at MM's private girls' school, who had the top boys and the top parents and the top houses and the top holidays. There wasn't enough room for them both. I can understand it. But there's no need to be so rude about them on your way out.

I like and respect what we see of Kate. That said with all the ‘doors to manual’ snobbery she had to endure from the toffs I do wonder if part of her was partly relieved someone ‘lower class’ than her came along & thought I picked up on this nuance at the wedding. The aristos can be very aloof, unwelcoming, very hard to win over & brutal at worst to those who don’t fit.

Does she know where Hove ends and Brighton begins? Is she aware of the cock ring?

I've lived in Sussex for 15+ years and I've no idea where Hove ends and Brighton begins. I'm also not aware of the cock ring. Can you enlighten me or is it something I don't need to know. I don't go into Brighton often as I think it's s&*t

Problem is she needs the money & possibly wants more of the spotlight.

Everyone says she needs the money but she could actually just chose a more low key life.
Buy a smaller house. That one she was cooking in was half the price of the one she has.
Move to a cheaper state. They could have lots of land elsewhere.

Stop trying to be a fashion icon or great beauty. Wear stuff you have stop the tweakments.

Don't travel by private jet.

Tens of millions of dollars will go quite far if you live reasonably.

But they won't. She wants celebrity california life. And she needs money for that.

She wouldn't have been able to talk about herself though, which is her favourite subject.

It’s interesting that a lot of posters on here aren’t fans of the royals - usually Meghan fans claim that her detractors are obsessed with the royal family and that’s the reason for disliking Meghan. Clearly not the case! I don’t have strong feelings, I think I lean towards being a bit defensive of the Wales family because they had such a shitty time last year, and I think the way Meghan and Harry threw them all under the bus was awful. But all my reasons for disliking (if that’s even the right word, it’s not that strong a feeling) Meghan are based on her own words and actions. I think I could admit it if With Love, Meghan was good or enjoyable, but it’s just not. On top of everything else, it’s just bloody boring!

When I’ve watched a few of the YouTubers who are anti-Meghan they’re definitely pro Royals. I used to think Meghan was going to be a breath of fresh air and that she showed up Kate massively. I still think she did but I also now see it was mostly word salad.

Well exactly, she’s the impossible role model perhaps. I think Invictus is a great initiative & if I was Meghan I’d lean in with him in how we could make a real positive difference here. Bringing those in who were well placed to help veterans beyond the games. Expand.

Uricon2 · 05/03/2025 16:25

I think the billionaire lifestyle on a multi millionaire income should stop, because it isn't sustainable. Even if up to the last few years Harry has never known anything other than international fame, access to multiple stately homes and life being smoothed over for him and Meghan is going to accept nothing but global superstardom or bust, a true step back and reevaluation would not be the sign of failure they seem to think it is.

They've mucked up royally (sorry) but I believe there are ways out of the mess, if they choose to do things differently. I don't think they will though, however coruscating the Press, because seems to be a bunker mentality in play and it isn't healthy. They can't beat the rest of the world into adulation and seeing things their way, but I'm pretty sure they will continue to try.

In other news, I've just watched a YouTube video by a beauty expert telling people not to follow Meghan's method of mixing essential oils into epsom salts, unless you want to risk a massive skin reaction! Apparently, she uses far too much of the oil and no base oil (for something) to dilute it. I'm guessing, as with everything else in the programme, you are not meant to try it at home, but to buy her pre-made "As Ever" branded version. But still, it will be funny/not funny if people report that they are getting reactions from copying her method.

It's the name many locals call the i360. As to where Brighton begins and Hove ends, I am not entirely certain. I was trying to work it out the other week with my friends, who are also Sussex dwellers.

User14March · 05/03/2025 16:30

@Uricon2 unfortunately I think you’re spot on. Harry has never lived in the ‘real world’ & beyond love for his family & Meghan life must surely be unpleasant and lonely? I hope not pushed into rashness for £ with Spare 2 etc? I thought sequel/s (?) in pipeline?

Why couldn't M have used her 'creativity' in the RF?

Her 'creativity' seems to consist of home decor, hosting, prettifying, gardening. All things she could have done to her hearts content in her lovely Windsor cottage. It's the perfect setting to be a creative homemaker as a royal wife. Lots of money, lovely houses, lots of time, great connections.

What she means is: she hasn't been able to monetise her 'creativity'.
I'm sure no one was stopping her making bath salts.

Exactly that. It's not that she wasn't 'allowed' to express her creativity, it's that she couldn't make money from it. Its allll about money with her, she may well be one of the most obviously greedy people I've ever seen in the public eye. She certainly likes to flaunt her wealth, and is constantly hungering for more.

It’s all a bit, ‘look boys, I am only a ginger, I did better than your horsey dull as ditch wives’.

Reminds me of that report of Harry boasting to his friends about his sex life with Meghan "she lets me do whatever I want" 🤮
