She actually committed that to tape?

Is her son not one of her 'boys'?

I must say her life sounds a bit weird. Does her unnamed husband just hang around waiting for the aroma of bacon? Does he ever cook himself? Or is the kitchen a female only zone except when bacon is on offer for 'the boys'?

According to US weekly, she actually says that!

MissFenellaPrism · 03/03/2025 21:13

I think this is a very traditional household. Titles, deference, nannies, housekeepers. Domestic roles for females, the expectation to serve men.....

Bone broth. Right. Like in Jane Austen's time?
She's just read that somewhere, she's no idea what it means.
Bone broth indeed.

'Come on, Archie darling. Eat your gruel.'

Stickystickysticky · 03/03/2025 21:14

I'm in the uk and haven't heard of any of the guests, are they well known in the US ?

'Come on, Archie darling. Eat your gruel.'

"I remember when I was a working royal and we started each day with small beer and pottage. The shire reeve came in for instructions, and the horse and carriage took me out for the day. Sometimes I saw a beggar and threw him a copper penny. It is all true, that's why I left".

That outfit is terrible and those pictures reek of desperation.

Agree with both. I've seen 90-year-olds with more stylish ensembles.

Secure people don't clutch onto celebrity friends with forced fake smiles. That woman at the table looking up at her is thinking "WTF? What a weirdo!"

Women! Unless you cut up and carefully arrange a variety of fruit for your offspring every morning you have FAILED motherhood 1-O-1.

You stupidly thought getting some calories into them when they wouldn't get out of their pits, before they sloped reluctantly off to school was enough. So wrong. You need to live La Vida Duchess or pick up the therapy bills.

I occasionally did that with fruit when I was a bit bored and the kids needed jollying on. I saw nothing in it to warrant showing my efforts to other mums.
Guess that's why she's a " female founder"..

EsmaCannonball · 03/03/2025 21:20

I wonder if all the cash for product placement will go to Netflix or Meghan? That is probably where this show will make money.

I used to make a face from mashed potato and peas for my daughter in a vain attempt to get her to eat it.

Sweet! That's what my husband did when ours were little.

BasiliskStare · 03/03/2025 21:28

When Kaling calls her “Meghan Markle,” Meghan corrects her. “It’s so funny, you keep saying ‘Markle’ … you know it’s Sussex now.

I think it's going to be a slow train coming to stop the press referring to her as Sussex instead of Markle. It's just too identified with her. Bizarrely the one longstanding "brand" she has and she wants to change it. As Ever 😊

Yes but you didn't show all the other mums did you.
You can't be a "founder of women" unless you share your tips for a happy home.

Another review. Basically saying in a nice way- she has zero skills

https://www.townandcountrymag.com/society/tradition/a64019668/meghan-markle-with-love-meghan-review/

" (If there’s one thing you learn about Meghan from With Love, Meghan, it’s that she loves a crudité platter, and so do her kids.)"

Yes, because what 3 and 5 year old doesn't love a good crudite platter?

I'm bored just reading that review, so I can't imagine what a snoozefest the show itself must be.

Edited

They all do. Just as much as flowers in ice cubes, and bone broth.

Not sure if this one has already been posted, but its clear why the author was choosen

AtIusvue · 03/03/2025 21:34

So Vogue and Town&Country aren’t impressed. Both saying she doesn’t have skills and boring. Both questing of there would be a second series- T&C making recommendations if it does!

Overhaul54 · 03/03/2025 21:34

So she's Meghan Sussex ? What's happened to Mountbatten or Windsor or whatever Harry used to be.

Stickystickysticky · 03/03/2025 21:34

@Overhaul54 I didn't show other mums and am obviously a failure, my daughter realised that I wasn't a founder of women which is probably why the peas all got chucked on the floor as a sign of her disappointment in me.

Yes I seen that!. As soon as I seen DEI, I knew how it would go.

Emphasises that she's a Duchess and the proles should curtsey.

Let's face it, adults don't really like crudite platters if they're being honest.

But a 3 year old asking for julienned carrots and cucumber sticks? Has Meghan ever spent time with actual children?

No, she's a hugger! She will hug you even if you try to run away!

If Catherine is still Kate Middleton to the press, Meghan has no chance. I agree that sticking with Markle would have been a better idea, in public at least.
