To me, this is the most ironic thing of all.
Even if this brand were to be a huge success, it's such a major come down from the narrative of 5 years ago, which was that Meghan was so intelligent, independent and feminist that she threatened the fusty, protocol bound royals. There were lots of unfavourable comparisons to Kate, either direct or implied. Meghan found freedom in order to be able to use her 'voice' once again, to add to the debate on global issues of great importance, rather than the usual bland inanities of royal life.
Yet now, 5 years on, she's on TV talking about 'cleaning songs', making bacon for 'the boys' and making fruit rainbows. Make sure to slice the raspberries and sprinkle with edilble flowers.
