A few years ago I had a loved one with suicide ideation. It took years to get a referral and treatment which worked. Getting an outreach worker and support was so difficult and stressful. Eventually, an emergency admission enabled her to see a consultant psychiatrist. She's stable, but still not right, and the psychiatrist says that this may take years of therapy and medication.
It is truly terrible, and just being able to have someone on speed dial, or available for advice would have helped.

The two things that puzzled me about Meghan’s story were firstly, why couldn’t she find help when she had an expensive maternity package that included access to psychiatric help if necessary, and secondly how did she manage to recover with no apparent help 🤷‍♀️

Yes, it makes no sense. Also, if she felt unable to contact her obstetrician and/or midwife for help, why didn't Harry? Why didn't her mum?

I made a post a while back which I don’t think got deleted where I stated that I never believed she was suicidal, but I’m sure she told Harry she was suicidal as a form of control, just like when men threaten suicide if their wives say they are going to leave them, suicide threats are a classic tool in coercive control and I think that’s what Meghan was doing. I always thought it was quite telling how Harry didn’t react when Jane Pauley brought it up in that really awkward interview, he didn’t look at Meghan he didn’t even flinch let alone hold her hand in sympathy. Be interesting if my post is deleted this time.

I doubt its feels nice when you are persistently on the end of a tongue lashing in the workplace that reduces you to tears and having to access therapy.

Harry cannot see his or Meghan mistakes as that requires reflection. harry has given up nearly everything so he has to be madly in love or admit he's fucked up. Harry doesn't like being wrong.

I agree with @MaggieMistletoe as well, she is exactly as South Park described her, an empty vessel, how anyone thinks she is a highly intelligent woman as is often said by some posters is beyond me, she can’t even do influencing properly.

There was a rumour that MM went into a rage at the end of that interview - due to JP going off script. It makes me feel sick to my stomach that MM's focus in those moments was her own image and not the plight of the numerous familes bereaved by the suicide of their own children.

I agree. Why would she tell him at a crucial point when they had to go out and appear in public? When she knew there was nothing he could do .I definitely thought straight away that it was coercive control. She knows which button to press and how to manipulate him. He just doesn’t seem to see it.

I do fear for M, & hope things improve for her sake. Hopefully those friends in inner circle in Doc have remained in her corner. She has Mum & H.

Yes, he gave up almost everyone and everything for a woman he had then known for under 4 years. His brother and probably his friends warned him he was rushing into marriage but he wouldn't listen. To admit he may have made a huge mistake would be intolerable for him. So he's stuck with her.

@BorneoBop true, although how much evidence is there really that current staff mistreated? You’d surely simply leave if you could if so?

If you think about it, it's a pretty typical scenario. Step by step she alienated Harry from his friends, his family and finally his country. Now he's on the other side of the world with no support system. According to the VF article, he has struggled to make friends. All he has is her.

In any case, Meghan had no power on the 'Suits' set so wasn't in a position to be bullying her colleagues.

If she said she was going with or without him, and taking Archie, what choice did he have? Other than protracted legal proceedings in which no doubt be would have been presented as an unfit father.
