Meghan has renamed her luxury lifestyle brand 'As Ever'.

'As Ever essentially means as it's always been, and if you've followed me since 2014 with The Tig, you know I've always loved cooking and crafting and gardening — this is what I do,' she said. '

You buy your fancy jam at the local market.

IsoldeWagner · 18/02/2025 12:50

Yes, I was shouting at Kemi Badenoch on the news this morning. Nothing to do with her ethnicity.

Atlusvue

Yet she tells us as a feminist, she called out Proctor and Gamble for selling their products…..using the image of a woman in the kitchen.

Maybe it's just a woman doing the washing up she objects to?
Perhaps Harry does that.
Or possibly another, poorer woman 🤔

Yup, the trad wife feminist won’t be washing dishes…but female domestic staff is perfectly fine. Being California, we also know the likely demographics too.

StopStartStop · 18/02/2025 12:52

Bit hard on veteran broadcaster Neil Sean - every time he uses his catchphrase 'As ever', he'll be promoting the Meg.

MinnieCauldwell · 18/02/2025 12:52

I wouldn't fancy buying food stuff in a Netflix store, seems a bit bizarre.

It’s fascinating how so many people spend so much time hating on Meghan. A person they have never (and probably will never) meet.

For everyone who despises all she does, a few helpful reminders:

You can block her profiles on social media to prevent yourself from seeing her content.
You don’t need to click on articles which mention her or her family or her brand.
You can ignore her new show on Netflix, and set your social media profile to mute content like that so you see less.
You can avoid engaging with posts on MN that talk about her life, projects and content.

It really is that simple.

I despise Putin too but I'll never meet him. Does this mean I can't dislike him now?
Btw, you could take your own advice and hide these threads too if you find them too awful. It really is that simple.

@ jeffgoldblum, I think she's going to be hit with a lawsuit for that logo Shock

“ And here is something Meghan made earlier ….”

😂

Yes. Of course I know the house is not hers. The house is stunning was a statement.

I don’t live near a store, so I will not get to taste any jam / honey until or unless it goes global. Anyway, I’m not a big jam eater, and I tend to buy any old honey for the reason you mentioned. So I’m not really in her target audience.

To pre-empt your next question, I suspect her target audience is people who like fancy Jam and branded honey.

Well that's me, and I have money to chuck around on that sort of thing. But I would not go to somewhere like a Netflix store full of tat to buy some generic factory jam with her name on it - or even the name of someone l particularly admire. If the product itself is just shitty factory jam, what's the point in spending $20+ on it. What little bit of MM's life is this giving me?

So if the house is stunning, but it's not hers, what bit of MM's authentic life are we getting from the house?

It's going to have to have a long shelf life ie full of preservatives. 🤮

bifurCAT · 18/02/2025 12:54

Any Sussex Squad here?

MrsLeonFarrell · 18/02/2025 12:54

Having just listened to The Rest is Entertainment talking about celebrity perfume and the vast sums you can make, I think Meghan should produce a fragrance. She needs to pick a demographic to aim it at but it could sell really well for her.

jeffgoldblum · 18/02/2025 12:55

You'd think so @INeedAnotherName but they especially Meghan have plagiarised so many people at this point and nobody official has ever commented!!
Only us plebs! 🙄

Didn't Diana supposedly sign her letters 'As ever'?

Really?
Wasn't there an amusing anecdote in Spare relating how the pair of them wanted to cook a chicken but didn't have a clue what they were doing?

I thought he proposed to her cooking a chicken?

jeffgoldblum · 18/02/2025 12:56

Yes she did @IcedPurple !

Except that they were in the garden not cooking anything when she showed the (bizarrely) filmed proposal in the Netflix docusoap.

I thought he proposed to her cooking a chicken?

Then they showed that film of the proposal and it was outside with candles. So the engagement interview was...less than honest?

I don't know. I thought she was a disgrace so never took any interest in her.

MercurialButton · 18/02/2025 12:58

Soooooo not interested in

for ever and ever

Kissedbyfire1 · 18/02/2025 12:59

I have been fairly agnostic/not massively interested in M &H but now I’m starting to feel sorry for her. I suspect that she’s super-intelligent, possibly ND and struggling with her life. I think she knows what she wants to be but has no idea how to achieve it, no idea how to get people on board and limited patience for people without her drive.
I think she’s probably quite unhappy. She could have had the world at her feet had she embraced her Duchess role, but she’s so fixated on her idea that she can’t flex away from it.

Cross post! I think Mishal Hussain commented that she believed she was doing a genuine interview when Meghan claimed it was "curated" for the masses.

GlitchStitch · 18/02/2025 13:00

What has she done to her face and teeth, she looks strange. Also the problem is she makes so many announcements and launches that don't amount to anything it's kind of meaningless now.

MrsLeonFarrell · 18/02/2025 13:00

Ohpleeeease · 18/02/2025 12:57

If she isn’t into this, she should be.

I was staggered how much money it can generate. Plus people will by it if they like the name or the scent, they don't have to necessarily be fans of her.

I admire what Charles has done at Highgrove but no way would I spend what he charges on jam, even though the profits go to charity. I can get jam in Waitrose or Tesco.

She needs goods that have a large profit margin and which can appeal in a variety of ways. Jam no, perfume, yes.
