I've said this on other threads, I think she would do better to own who she is. Don't pretend you weren't planning on speaking when you did the same at a previous game. Don't pretend your home life is chaos. Come on, introduce Harry, talk about the veterans and leave the stage. Don't pretend to be unsure, you are an actress and a confident public speaker, own it.

LaMarschallin · 08/02/2025 17:50

I think the point is that she doesn’t need to be there !

Well, quite. Then she could spend more time with the sweet, excited tots.
Not sure she needed to confirm Harry is their father though 🤔
I can't imagine anyone doubts that.

Seems the new persona is the 'ditsy' .... eg "whats a luge / lunchbox".

Transparently disingenous and insincere.

Which is why I think she needs to just be herself. Some people are going to find it jarring but you can't please everyone. Even looking at her calligraphy it suggests someone extremely organised and driven who knows what she wants and how to get it. I think if she just let herself be that person she would look more comfortable on camera and could relax into doing projects instead of trying to project an image that doesn't really fit her. No one casual and ditsy goes the the trouble of putting flowers in ice cubes.

"whats a luge / lunchbox".

I read that initially as "what a huge lunchbox" and thought "Can't imagine the circumstances when she'd say that"

FromTheOfficeOfJammyTodger · 08/02/2025 18:22

Did Harry thank Dominic Reid, the brains behind the winter games (who mysteriously quit last year, before seeing his project through)? It's his vision that is being rolled out. How about any of the other organisers? How about all the people who have raised money so that the competitors can take part, since Invictus gives them nothing? Let's face it, Harry will have done next to fuck all to bring these games about. He'll have put his expenses claim in, though.

"Will the real MM please stand up...."

What would that look like?

Grandiose, delusional, ruthless bully?

She seems to be ambitious, driven, specific about how she wants things to look and how she presents herself. She reminds me of how I see Victoria Beckham, the sense of a person who knows what they want. None of this is bad, we need type As in the world.

Under pressure she seems to be a difficult person to work with.

andyouwillknowusbythetrailofdead · 08/02/2025 18:39

Just why is she there. It's embarrassing. It's making it about her and "H", not the veterans.

Yes they're married but I think DH would find it fucking weird if I insisted on introducing him before he made a presentation at work.

Valid points as ever, MrsLF, but I've always believed that to truly be yourself requires a certain stability, inner peace and confidence and it just doesn't seem to be there

Everything appears to be a pose - usually one which quickly falls apart when the next "identity" comes into play - and if we find it hard to keep up with them I can't imagine how someone as limited as Harry copes

Think that's an understatement and minimises the dozens of staff over many years who have been the recipient of, and/or have witnessed, her bullying behaviour and have been negatively impacted so much so that they needed therapy or had to resign from their jobs. To inflict so much mental stress on another human being is disgraceful and I hope that they can all see a way through the NDAs to take group legal action.

It was a deliberate understatement. It's pretty obvious now, with three different respected publications carrying similar accusations and patterns of behaviour over two continents, that Meghan has bullied staff. I would also add that I think Harry is equally culpable because he hasn't protested about her treating people like this.

sleetysnowflakes · 08/02/2025 20:42

They do seem to want a medal just for normal things like being parents, taking phone calls and making breakfast.

StartupRepair · 08/02/2025 20:50

Being wounded in combat seems like a pretty grim part of adult life and the amazing strength the Invictus participants show is probably not so relatable to small children. I really don't see how Archie and Lili can be so invested in Invictus at their age other than Dad taking the odd phone call before he goes out surfing. They are not a military family.

2025willbemytime · 08/02/2025 20:53

I heard a tiny bit of his speech and he said about how they hadn't been invited there..

FenellaFeldman · 08/02/2025 16:33

😂

That Is just so weird. She treats him like a possession.

Herbologistinwaiting · 08/02/2025 22:03

Someone mentioned Amandaland upthread.
M and Amanda are made of the same cloth.

Onlyonekenobe · 08/02/2025 22:15

And there you have it. She's posting videos (in another outfit, all shades of white) of her doing all the doe-eyed "aren't I compassionate?" gaze, on her @ Meghan Insta handle. Monetising the RF as she always intended to. Everything she said last night and did today and will do for the duration of the games is in furtherance of the image she's hoping to project on the cooking show (or whatever it is).

Transparent as glass. What a fool Harry is for allowing himself to be cheapened and used. Grim grim grim.

It's the scene in Friends with Susan Sarandon and Joey - you cup the other person's face when you kiss so that only your face is clear in the shot 😉

VB, though, has a sense of humour and can laugh at herself.

Another sleeveless top. Another pair of wide trousers puddling onto the floor. Pure as the driven snow. And she's got her paws on the handles of a wheelchair with an athlete, presumably disabled, sitting it it. Quite a little crowd of people in that photo and she's the one who's compassion-in-action. Funny, that.

IdaGlossop · 08/02/2025 22:57

Don't get me started. Another outfit - black coat. She's very animated - the widest smile, bright blue poms-poms in her hand, reaching out to a person on the row in front. Harry, though, looks quite subdued. They don't look at all harmonious. H is so much more relaxed without her. They are not following the advice I gave earlier 😆

EsmaCannonball · 08/02/2025 23:22

Invictus is where disabled veterans have to pay to attend an event that celebrates Meghan and Harry.

veraswaistcoat · 08/02/2025 23:23

What's with all the lip smacking face holding kissing ? 😂

CornishTeaTime · 08/02/2025 23:29

Certainly the Meghan show at the moment. She appears dominent in everything and so ott with the hugs, face grab kissing and just see the head on Harry's shoulder ... so many photo opportunities. Very distracting from Harry and the games.
