Why is she being given a guided tour around burned out houses by the mayor and fire chiefs of California as if she is a visiting grandee? If she is merely a minor celebrity, then why is she afforded all this high level access and influence? And, as she has been afforded this influence, why is she immune to scrutiny when she takes advantage of it? And if she is merely a minor celebrity, who basically lives her life for column inches in the gutter press, then why are you hand-wringing about what is written about her? Surely MM will be delighted she hasn't been forgotten?

I think it’s a legitimate stance to look at the reasons behind why H & M are attracting such a high level of vitriol.

Because of their own actions and behaviour!

Also, I think it’s legitimate to look at whether it is in some people’s interests to separate Harry from Invictus by making such a deliberate fuss and negative noise about H&M , that their support for the charity is compromised, and they are then asked, or volunteer, to step down to avoid further negative press.

Most people don't want to separate Harry from invictus, they do however wish to separate Meghan from it before it's completely derailed into the Meghan show and any benefits to the veterans is gone.

I don’t think it completely out of the bounds of reality to conclude that that is the motivation of some posters here, and that it’s the deliberate motivation of some news broadcasters, and of some members of the establishment.

Also, I don’t think it’s fair to just focus on H & M’s activities without applying the same levels of criticism and scrutiny to the RF as a whole.

They are simply not very important and pose no threat whatsoever to 'the establishment'.

There always seem to be attempts to suggest that anyone at all critical of the Sussexes is "hating" and putting them on the same level as war criminals and it simply isn't true. I watch them with a kind of bemused amusement waiting for the next strange, avoidable misstep and if they get something right, happy to say so.

The IG was something Harry got right for a long time and it's sad that it now seems to be turning into a vehicle for self promotion, largely it appears by Meghan.

I think if Kate turned up to eg Centrepoint and indulged in "impromptu" (!!) gushing introductions and repeated cringey PDAs while clutching William like the last lifebelt on the Titanic, much would be said by many and none of it good.

Well of course they would! The evidence (granted it’s only the first day) very much shows that to not be the case.

It is really the only thing the guy has left that he is supposedly passionate about and his wife seems to be doing her level best to screw that up for him. I’d like to think inadvertently but it’s the only thing left from his previous life so 🤷‍♀️

Harry should be separated from Invictus. IG is a charity established for the public benefit under the law of England and Wales. It doesn’t belong to Harry and never did.

Harry as patron is a figurehead and ambassador but nothing more. He doesn’t have any role in the governance or direction of the charity. The fact that he believes he does is bad news for the IG.

He deserves all the credit he receives for having the idea and getting the right people on board to make it happen but his work is done now.

You are the one giving the lecture to those of us discussing her activities and telling us she's just a minor celebrity, so we should stop talking about her. She actually can be and is both a D-list, talent-free, airhead influencer (who is currently marketing herself as such on Instagram) and someone who has been able to wield an alarming level of political influence through her advantageous marriage and the doors that has opened. And both broad roles that she happily plays out in public, for the public, for the attention, for the influence that gives her, are open to scrutiny.

Defunct ??? No , no , no . According to at least one poster last year what we had in March 2024 was a soft launch and early 2025 would be the proper launch.
I am not sure what they meant by early but as we are heading towards the first anniversary of the “ soft” launch , maybe all will be revealed soon …..

I’m not lecturing. I’m expressing my opinion which is different to the majority, I am entitled to do that on a public discussion board.

It’s the usual RF supporters who are resorting to sneering “school maam” and “prism” comments and posting silly memes which doesn’t say much for the strength of their arguments.
