I was musing last night about this aspect - they had the world at their feet. Despite what Sussex Supporters like to suggest most people in the UK nodded their heads " yes it was lovely Harry was getting married finally" . I had never heard of the bride myself as I don't watch American tv shows of that ilk. She was black or biracial? It didn't even enter my head what colour she was initially and then as coverage started it didn't make one iota of difference one way or the other. I recall the day of the wedding - it was sunny and the pubs were full of royal cheer broadcasting the wedding.

And then it all started to where we are today.

Are there any other couples in the world who have gone through such a downfall? Is this a feature of the social media arena today?
We see P Diddy and Blake Lively and others exposed now through SM.
You can't count the Duke and Duchess of Windsor in this category as they were always unpopular.

Can you think of any examples of people who have fallen so spectacularly?

I know people say " they live in California, they have money blah blah" but their reputation is one that most people would not want.

Is it purely because of their seeming complaining and sense of entitlement ? I mean you don't see the real philanthropists in this way - in fact you rarely hear about them and what they do.

Hopefully this is just rumour , it would not be a good move from him , the American courts are not going to pander to him and it's completely different from the U.K. courts .

Mum and dad take kids to an event...family day out for many people not to showcase themselves as a family.

The source quoted upthread literally used the words "showcasing them as a family" when describing the new PR strategy. So no, not just a family day out. IF (as I said) the source is correct and they are really planning on using the children in this way.

Doesn’t this all sound like Trevor getting the heave ho for not promoting her career? Harry now tasked with turning the world’s opinion of her. IF it’s true of course, mustn’t discount that it could be a silly rumour.

To me it sounds like a couple who have an expensive lifestyle and no income, who have always been extremely bitter and resentful of other people getting clicks and money off of them, spotting a new way to make money! $12m off Rupert Murdoch last week, eh? Why bother getting a job when you can just get damages from publishers, something you can justify as both a righteous moral crusade against invasion of privacy AND a way to ensure they they get the money rather than the papers and the magazines 😂.

Lets see if anything come from that report of suing VF, it sounds to me like posturing and a PR spin.. The general view is they will sue if it's not true, I doubt their sources would be giving a heads up if they really were about to take legal action against VF..

Some of the harshest criticisms of them have come from US media and they have only managed to make a few miserable clap backs here and there, so far they have not taken action against THR, The Cut, Puck News or the multitude of crazy US tabloid stories about them.

Charles and Diana both gave the whole fairytale marriage/world at their feet/betrayal/scandal/spilling cringey personal stuff on nationwide tv and bestseller books a good run for its money back in the day.

Quite right. And there is absolutely no need for the Sussex kids to gradually get used to a life in the public eye as there is for the Waleses.

What would be a bit odd is what the quoted source suggested - that after protecting the children's privacy so fiercely, and talking about how important that is, then wheeling them out when Mommy's brand image needs a bit of help.
