I think he thought she had the stardust which would change the institution

As second son of the son of the monarch, this is actually a pretty traitorous opinion. What authority did he think he had to think he could change the institution of monarchy within the UK? He has no more right to do so than I do.

I think he was told by his mother from an early age that he was William's equal and a seed was planted that William would in some way share the crown, as was her wish. He spent many year pre Meghan doing things as a threesome with William and Catherine in the Royal Foundation's name. In Spare, he is clearly quite bitter about William and Catherine having children and having less time for him. I think he believed they could go from fab 3 to fab 4 once Meghan arrived, with him and her taking centre stage as the glamorous, shiny, interesting ones (she arrived when Catherine was a mum of little ones/pregnant, and being called frumpy and boring by the press). Maybe he had some Narnia like fantasy of 4 thrones at Cair Paravel?

'Don’t people remember or care what happened to Caroline Flack? I think people need to remember that H&M are real people with children. Whatever your thoughts, however much you dislike what you read about them or anybody else, nobody deserves to be hounded by the press each day the way these two are.'

Catherine has children. The Sussex Squad have accused her of faking her cancer diagnosis, and actually being out of the public eye because she had a face-lift. They know for a fact William beats her and possibly has killed her and the person seen in public now is a stand in. The Sussex Squad are publically thanked by Harry and Meghan for their support. Catherine has done absolutely nothing to warrant being in the Squaddie firing line, yet has been unmercifully bullied for years by Harry and Meghan’s supporters. And those two hypocrites who are so against bullying and hatred on social media have done nothing to address it. Have not asked their attack dogs to stop the harassment of anyone, be that individuals, small businesses, professionals, who are deemed to have 'disrespected' their honeys in some way. Can't take anything Harry and Meghan say seriously, soz.

How the Sussex's can talk about on line bullying is beyond me - really a lightening bolt ought to smite them for this hypocrisy after what The Sussex Squad said about POW. Lower than a snakes belly.

The Vanity Fair article just says what everyone has know for years - Markle is a bully, Harry thought he was equal to William and resented the hierarchy. Considering the vast wealth Harry has, just for being born, you'd think he's be content with his luck. But no, they decided they were so amazing that they could modernise, monetise and live the life of celebrities without hard work, or accountability. The deserve to be exposed for who they are.

Wow, what an article @Thedom

can add ‘demon boss’ to the list of other names she’s been given. She has quite the collection now.

Maybe he had some Narnia like fantasy of 4 thrones at Cair Paravel?

It's a thought.
But I bet he still wouldn't be happy with being "King Harry" while his brother was "High King William".

Reading comments about themselves? How do you know that? If I was famous there’s no way I’d look at social media, ever.

This was just a few weeks ago when he was interviewed in NY.

when Sorkin asked if he read his press or "had a Google alert" on his name, Prince Harry said, "I do when I need to," but said no on the Google alerts front.
"There have been moments when I read a lot and moments when I read nothing and I highly recommend the latter," the duke continued.

He also said that when he is not reading online 'his team will show him things they have seen written about him'.

He also mentioned online gossip about multiple divorces and multiple homes, so he reads the gossipy stuff about himself and Meghan.

Ohh, they read it all 😏

CornishTeaTime · 19/01/2025 12:55

Will H&M comment on VF article???

PrettyFlyforaMaiTai · 19/01/2025 12:56

I feel like a lot of people need to apologise to Jason Knauf. He got accused of lying and acting maliciously on behalf of William. Yet he is the one who stood up for the employees who were being bullied by a royal duchess. It takes a lot of guts and integrity to do that. Well done to all those who have had the courage to use their voices and speak out about their treatment.

But yes, I am guessing nothing would alleviate his fundamental envy of William.

WeCantGoOverIt · 19/01/2025 13:01

Aesop:

A Fox one day spied a beautiful bunch of ripe grapes hanging from a vine trained along the branches of a tree. The grapes seemed ready to burst with juice, and the Fox's mouth watered as he gazed longingly at them.
The bunch hung from a high branch, and the Fox had to jump for it. The first time he jumped he missed it by a long way. So he walked off a short distance and took a running leap at it, only to fall short once more. Again and again he tried, but in vain.
Now he sat down and looked at the grapes in disgust.
"What a fool I am," he said. "Here I am wearing myself out to get a bunch of sour grapes that are not worth gaping for."
And off he walked very, very scornfully.

There are many who pretend to despise and belittle that which is beyond their reach.

Not2identifying · 19/01/2025 13:02

I think the root of the envy of William is that he had more time with Diana (because he was older). There are things about the H & M drama that are entertaining, mind-boggling, annoying, etc, but there is also a sadness about it all.

Vespanest · 19/01/2025 13:05

I have more belief that they knew nothing of the social media hate and Sussex Squad if Meghan hadn't of hired Bouzy twice. The comparisons of the Meghan and Amber Heard support groups both had one common denominator both females hired bot setinal. Then there's Harry thanking the squad that he knows nothing about. Imagine knowing the guy you hired as a social media expert also took great delight in Catherine illness and peddled the conspiracy theories and Harry said nothing whilst spouting silence is complicit. Next it will be that Harry and Meghan never influenced or read End Game.

Atlasvue · 19/01/2025 13:08

So there was clap back from US weekly after the HR bullying article . Her staff claimed she the the perfect boss, handing out gift baskets etc

Im not sure they will do that this time.

Interesting that People magazine haven’t even touched on the VF article….not even the part that says how so in love they are. A huge Hollywood news story and crickets.

So the line must be IGNORE, IGNORE, IGNORE!

She’s trying to launch a lifestyle business in a few weeks. But this stench will follow her everywhere.

Must be panic stations back home. It game over.

People say Harry and Meghan should call off the “attack dogs”, but I’m sure they have no idea what goes on on social media in their name TBH! I doubt they’re checking X or Instagram and reading all the comments.

A narcissist like Meghan ? Of course she does. She has to know how her latest offering is going whether it is jam or a lifestyle show. To not do so would be a grave error.

Imagine if Omid Scobie’s Endgame had been written about the Sussexes endeavours after Megxit? Probably would have been more interesting than talk of Charles ironing his shoe laces, William being hot headed and ambitious, and Catherine shivering any time Meghan’s name is mentioned 🤣

Even if there was some truth in that (which I don’t believe) do you think that applies to what people like Omid Scobie posts, often directly on their behalf? Most recently the Archewell Christmas card, for example?

Catherine shivering any time Meghan’s name is mentioned

If it's true, that woman is a model of elegant restraint.
I'd be brandishing two candlesticks in the shape of a cross in the manner of Peter Cushing in the Dracula films, not merely shivering.

I love the Narnia reference!

I think Harry is definitely Edmund and he just couldn't resist the Turkish Delight which Meghan offered him.

If they are selling themselves as the go-to experts on on-line bullying you think they'd have at least some knowledge of one ofvthe most high-profile on-line bullying campaigns of rescentbtimes. Especially since WME supported it.

To be fair, alleged book touting aside, the VF article doesn't really say anything new.

It just wraps it all up and puts a bow and a calligraphy written gift tag; with love, Vanity Fair....

There was a theory, which seemed plausible, that she popped on here from time to time using the handle “guest speaker” or similar.

Genuine apologies to the real “guest speaker” if that’s not correct.

Snorlaxo · 19/01/2025 14:55

People Magazine is a glorified celebrity paid magazine these days that will print whatever you want as long as you pay. Print media is in decline so I guess this pays the bills. (I’m not limiting this practice to the Sussexes - there are many other celebrities who pay them to print glowing stories)

I predict that the story will die down then be brought up again when they resurface. I’m assuming that they aren’t required to do promotion for their NF output but the launch of the cooking show will have people talking about them again. Their only saving grace is the Blake Lively or Diddy trial having some sort of update
