Catherine has returned to her public duties and has visited the Royal Marsden hospital today to “show her gratitude to the incredible team, but also highlight the world-leading care and treatment the Marsden provides".

It has been revealed that she attended her chemotherapy appointments at Royal Marsden. She thanked staff and visited patients for approximately an hour. It’s also been released that she will join William in becoming a royal patron of the hospital.

Someone can have a different opionion from you @Mightymoog, that doesn't mean they've been brainwashed. Repeatedly posters on the RF topic have shared their informed perspective as to why they favour a constitutional monarchy and all that entails in terms of public funds (and the restrictions placed on those funds). Posters who favour a C have also reflected on whether the current guardrails around funding are robust enough.

You, of course, are free to hold and posit a different opinion. However, references to brainwashing end up diminishing the cogency of your postion - play the ball not the woman.

Why are you happy to give them money? It honestly baffles and frustrates me so much that people are so brainwashed that they think such a massively wealthy family deserves any taxpayer money just becuase they wear nice frocks and smile.

They perform a public function as Head of State. Any Head of State is a publicly funded role.

In addition, there are plenty of people in this country who are far more wealthy and who contribute nothing to public life. The Royal family are useful camouflage for them.

The Royal Horticultural Society have announced they have a new rose named “Catherine’s Rose” after the Princess of Wales, with proceeds going to the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

What a beautiful colour 🥰

Gorgeous! Love that oinky-orange colour, like a Padparadscha sapphire!
