Just seen on Sky News. Breaking News headlines. Delayed because of the wild fires didn't say if this was technical difficulties or it would be a bit crass to launch a frothy type lifestyle show with all the devastation. Anyway it might be shelved for good with any luck.

Nope, you don't have to be to get accused!!! Happens regularly!

I said very small children at a polo match would need to be closely supervised. I have never commented on when Kate and Meghan went to a Polo match together.
I have never been to a polo match, but I had a lot to do with horses when I was younger, and it is that experience that would make me very wary. I know how dangerous a horse can be around very young children who are not yet old enough to know how to act around them.
Maybe I am over anxious about the dangers, or maybe not?

OMG. You are being disagreeable now just for the sake of it. It's not a good look. Do you also argue with your toenails?

Define a "few months" then???

William and Kate have taken their children to polo, same with the Tindalls and the Phillips family - Meghan took Archie as a baby when she held him in that awkward pose that looked as if she had never done it before!

That photo was the turning point at which I started to think there was something slightly off about Meghan. It was such a strange way to hold any baby, never mind your own. If memory serves me correctly he wasn’t a new born at that point either.

It was bizarre! He wasn't a newborn, you're right.

I'm probably one of the least maternal women in the world but even I wouldn't have held my baby like that!

I understand your concern regarding close supervision of small children. We all know how easily distracted Meghan is by a camera.

Incidentally, I do wonder how people would react if Meghan was the centre of the very complicated cancer narrative the Wales' are projecting.

What's complicated about it? Or are you just being deliberately nasty about a cancer patient?

I don’t think some people would be very kind, but then again, some people haven’t been very kind about Kate being ill. They are the extremes of the ‘haters’ though, you’ve got to be a real piece of shit to do that, regardless of whose ‘side’ you are about other matters.

Small children need to be closely supervised wherever they are.

What a thing to say!

Any decent human being would react with compassion and empathy, like they do for any cancer sufferer.

I was so saddened yesterday to hear of the death of Linda Nolan. My adult children were upset this evening to learn that a popular teacher from their schooldays had lost his life to cancer. The teacher had a child of 11/12.

There would be something really fucking wrong with you to react other than with empathy!!!

There would be the actual haters of course, the same as there were towards Catherine.

Such people deserve to never have a day's peace and contentment again in their lives.

Back to Harry's interior design description. I can't get past 'bookshelves filled with volumes of peaceful colours'. Does he think people choose books based on the colour of the cover? And William has special peaceful colours that were meanly withheld from him?
Seems safe to say Harry has never opened a book.

I dislike both Harry and Meghan in equal measure.
In that particular scenario I would feel as much empathy for either of them as I would PofW, my dad or my sister.

Being critical about the 'goings on' of a celebrity couple doesn't equal empathy bypass.

Speaking of empathy ...... cough cough ......Duke of Edinburgh/Oprah show.

Absolutely - they couldn't have given less of a shit about Prince Philip. I hope he was shielded from it. And what grief they must have given the late Queen at the end of her life of duty and service. They must have been aware that she didn't have long left, yet it was all about them. I think that's unforgiveable.

You're probably right - I might have less empathy for Meghan or Harry, because of their behaviour, but at the end of the day, having cancer is awful and you wouldn't wish it on your worst enemy.

FromTheOfficeOfJammyTodger · 16/01/2025 22:46

@CurlewKate 's question is "....if Meghan was the centre of the very complicated cancer narrative the Wales' are projecting". I don't think anyone can adequately answer this question until @CurlewKate explains what she means by this.

For the record, if MM announced she had cancer, I would be sympathetic, wish her well and wish her a speedy recovery. As any decent person would. I wouldn't find the history of her behaviour any less heinous for the subsequent cancer diagnosis. Cancer doesn't bestow sainthood. It does, however, cause pain, stress and suffering that nobody decent would wish on anyone, even someone they dislike.

Ok, I'll fecking bite. But what "complicated cancer narrative" are the Wales projecting?

Let's hear it Kate. Lay it all out. I can't wait to hear what Celebitchy has been spouting.

I thought that was really odd too.
Like nouveau riche people who buy books by the yard to fill in shelves in the libraries in mansions that they buy.
I hope Harry gave special thought to the colour of the jacket of "Spare".
It's important for books to look tempting when piled up in charity shops.
