This poster has done nothing other than make insinuations about other posters. I don't see any 'views' or 'differences of opinion', because the poster has expressed none.

What stories have the RF fed to the press about H&M?

Doesn't it count as a personal attack though, which is against talk guidelines? Especially when a poster is accused of being “not normal” and “juvenile” 🤷‍♀️

I think MN is quite mild, compared to other (non British) sites. More gentle mockery than outright bile

It's not an attempt to initiate a rational discussion. It's all about insulting other posters and trying to drag the thread off topic. It's been done a million times before on these threads. That's why I say it's become extremely tedious now. If only posters changed their tactics half as often as they change their user names!

That is not what is being said at all. If you read the post in question, there is no attempt to say “I disagree and I think x because y”. It’s just basically “you are an idiot because you have started this thread”. It would actually be quite refreshing to have someone disagree and put forward a reasonable argument as to why. Instead, it tends to be just flinging insults

There have been posters who have said e.g. they are up for something lightweight for the season, and will try an episode and see if it's entertaining. Others who have given reasons for why they think it could work, depending on various factors.

All very valid contributions. Just as other people have said it is behind the times, inauthentic, they can't listen to the vocal fry. Also valid points.

If you think something is a personal attack, report it to MNHQ and they will decide. Way more effective than derailing the thread by attempting (fruitlessly, always) to argue about it here

Yes, dismissing any criticism as 'hate' is typical. As is the whole 'I'm perplexed' thing.

Of course it might be good, and it might not. NF gave released a trailer that is meant to give a taste of the programme, that's the point of a trailer. Based on that various posters have expressed an opinion of whether they will like it, that's the point of a trailer.

The trailer may not do the full series justice, of course, but we all make decisions about what to watch based on trailers, because THAT'S WHAT TRAILERS ARE FOR!

Of course that makes sense. That's an opinion, which is the point of a discussion board.

Other people will have different likes and dislikes.
