It's unheard of for NF to postpone the launch of a show, isn't it?

Dropping a summery 'cooking for friends' type series in January was always a weird choice to me, especially if it's intended as the launchpad for Meghan's brand. Most people are broke and are tired of socialising. I think there may be some truth to the theory that NF are just looking to be done with both show and the Sussexes.

Also if she’s to launch her products….not going to look great when there’s so many people who lost all their belongings.

Because she has tied herself to these fires with her humanitarian efforts (hugging), then is she going to supply home wares to those affected?

Cooking equipment supplies etc?

If Netflix were going to postpone I would have thought they'd already have announced it - after all the fires have been going for a fair few days now. There's rumours out there that Meghan herself wants the date postponed, which suggests she's trying to disassociate herself from the launch date of the show and put public pressure on Netflix to delay.

It could still happen of course, if the situation with the fires continues to escalate - but I don't think Netflix really care if the show is a success, the only reason they'd delay now is if they felt it would damage their own reputation by releasing as planned.

For an article purporting to argue this show is a natural fit for meghan and the rest of us are just haters….they seem to agree with a lot of what we are saying….inauthentic, fantasy etc….

Also love how they linked to the telegraph articles! And that the true comparison isn’t Diana but Wallis Simpson.

I think this writer has been very clever.

Also the writer is based in London. So again, the only ones paying attention are the British.

NF won't postpone. It's only a lifestyle show and it's only on streaming. People can watch it, or not, whenever they like.

Besides, they'd be setting a precedent. NF is a global organisation so how do you 'prioritise' natural disasters? Yes, I know this show has a distinct SoCal vibe, but again where do you draw the line?

In any case I suspect NF want to close the Sussex chapter and aren't much bothered about this show one way or the other.

It's really rare for shows or movies to be postponed and they are still released. It's the premiere events that have been cancelled naturally because of the fires but the shows and movies are still being released like On Call on Prime, Wolf Man movie etc.

So business as usual in terms of release dates.

Well it’s only 3 days now to the announced release date, so we’ll know soon enough

Given that the lady is on her staff, that would be a reasonable assumption.

I think by the very fact that it is a streaming service and people CHOOSE what to watch makes it different to when it is a national TV channel with a broadcast schedule.

So the View in America- have mixed views on Meghans show. The usual. One side saying inauthentic and out of touch.

But interestingly, the other women (who some would class as woke liberals) have the most bizarre argument yet- that poor people want to watch the rich being rich!!!!
Using the example of the 1930s depression and that the films shown at the cinemas at this time were always following the stories of the uber rich and glamorous.

They are saying….. the peasants want to watch the Aristos eat cake.

If this is the best argument they can come up with, then it’s going to get torn apart on release.

The worrying issue for meghan ….is that people are debating if it is tone deaf.
Some will say yes and some will say no. But the point is, that’s the question we are all asking.

I haven’t read one article yet, not pointing out that some will see it as inauthentic and tone deaf, even if they say they don’t agree with it and decry others as haters.

Every single piece written. Which means they all see it, they just can’t possibly acknowledge that she’s got it so wrong …again.

What are Charles and Camilla doing to help the homeless in London while they live in palaces? Yet you are putting Meghan down for reaching out to the people of her home state at a time of devastation?

I don’t get it.

Not a great look either to have Prince William champion wildlife causes when his family kill animals for sport, or Camilla talk about domestic violence when she and King Dick were so cruel to Diana. Probably not great either that the UK is going through a harsh month of minus temperatures while they sit with their feet up in one of seven palaces while people who are homeless freeze to death but yeah, lets focus on Meghan.

William is campaigning for Homeless charities. Charles makes an effort to go to the scenes of disasters in the Uk, as does William. The point is M and H are not representing the RF. They are nobodies.
