@Mylovelygreendress Melissa McCarthy. It went nowhere, like most of their endeavours.

ForAmberQuoter · 02/01/2025 21:44

I liked the trailer, and will be watching the show but I’m dipping out of MN & this Royal Family Forum because I can see the misogyny towards Meghan already ramping up. Too much bitchiness displayed by some posters. I’m surprised that MN has tolerated it and, indeed, allowed it to thrive on here.

HilariousNames · 02/01/2025 21:44

All of her initiatives last about five and a half minutes. She just seems to flit from one half baked idea to the other. In this case literally.

TulipTiptoer · 02/01/2025 21:44

Thats why I wont be watching sparkles

If you mean Meghan (I have to assume so), I doubt she'll miss you. Of course it does mean you won't be able to come on the numerous threads and say how awful it all is. Winner winner! 😅

StartupRepair · 02/01/2025 21:48

People on twitter have noticed it is a complete copy of something done by the Marchioness of Bath.

Sunworshiper · 02/01/2025 21:50

Love this, at least thats a real mother with children.

Aspargar · 02/01/2025 21:50

Im wondering if she will be sharing joyful hints and tips for all that washing up in the kitchen sink afterwards?

hopeishere · 02/01/2025 21:55

TulipTiptoer · 02/01/2025 21:35

Sunworship.. no idea what that leaf picture is, sorry

They've circled the number of negative reactions the trailer has got on you tube. More negative than positive.

Actually, I beg to differ. Every viewer counts especially when their deal is hanging by a thread, and “when the stakes are this high”. (Not sure if it was Haz or Meg who said that?!)

Bontonbonbon · 02/01/2025 22:00

@TulipTiptoer People saying they don’t like her based on things she has said and done which were rude and hurtful is not misogyny. I dislike them both equally.

And she does need us. She’s selling a product (herself and her TV show) so she needs as many people on side as possible. Telling a whole
nation they’re racists and then whining about the 3.4 million spent on her wedding (nothing was how she wanted it, according to her) is rude. She had support, money and the best the U.K. could give her but it wasn’t good enough. People are allowed to be annoyed by that. She hasn’t apologised and seems to believe that people should just get over it.

I find it quite stomach churning to watch her play pretend at being a kind person. She let her mask slip for all the see in the Oprah interview and it was incredibly illuminating. I would die of surprise if she ever did a single truly selfless thing.

How is it a carbon copy? The trailer doesn't focus on afternoon tea or feature her child. She is wearing various colours.

So you won't be watching and commenting then

No idea why you've written such a long post to me to be honest

It has the vibe of an M&S summer collection advert

If someone has Netflix, they can watch some of it, all of it, or none of it, whether they love or loathe them, they have the choice, why are people trying to police what others watch on TV, its not North Korea.

If they don't have Netflix, then they can't watch it, even if they worship at the altar of Meghan Markle, it ain't going to happen..

Bontonbonbon · 02/01/2025 22:09

@Spectre8 I won’t watch. I’ve already said that. But I reserve the right to comment on how everything she does now proves that everything she said in the Oprah interview was a lie.

I’m not going to argue the ins and outs. But it is really quite sad that she (and her supports) can’t see that their mean girls attitude has made it vanishingly unlikely that she’ll every be truly successful in her own right.

I know her die hard fans struggle with this but the stench of bitterness, anger and vitriol they exuded for years after their departure will take a long time to fade- even longer if Sussex supporters insist on attack other members of British royal family online.

Thank you.

Some people seem to have nothing to contribute to the discussion other than policing other posters. It's become very tedious.

Can I just say, I really don’t like the comments on things MM can’t do anything about. Such as her feet. I have really ugly feet! Size 9 and finger toes! I can’t help it, neither can she. We can’t all be blessed with size 5 perfect feet unfortunately.

I prefer to comment on her choices and actions.

Well if you on here posting now how cringe or crap it is why would you be watching it other to be able to keep on criticising her. It's not.plicijg what people watch it's just funny to see who now comes back having watched it just to post negative comments about her

Aspargar · 02/01/2025 22:22

I’ve read that NF take account of incompleted series and episodes. Which is just as bad seemingly as not watching it at all.

I think there’s a high risk of this here. It’s a cooking show, not a high stakes crime thriller where you want to watch til the end. I wonder if that’s why NF released it this way?

Suspect Harry is in Esp 8, with a patio party. Looks like he’s drinking orange juice too.

NF works on a subscription basis, not pay per view.

They make money by attracting new subscribers and retaining those they have. So if someone doesn't finish a series, it's a good indicator that that show is not going to encourage them to renew their subscription. So even if this series attracts some curiosity views, that's not necessarily a 'win' for NF.

Lifestooshort71 · 02/01/2025 22:26

I won't watch it because it doesn't appeal, the trailer is vacuous with saccharine overtones and I don't believe she has the training or talent to host a cookery programme - the excitement over a bog-standard Victoria sandwich set the level for me. However, despite all the above, I hope it's a financial success for her.
