Re cold weather etc I suspect the last market M is aiming for is the UK or Europe. I don't know about how people would receive it in the US.

I think Nigella gets away with swishy hair and home cooking because people will watch it for innuendo & amusement ( and I think latterly she has not used her own kitchen - I think she did in the very first series) I think the Martha Stewart days of complete cooking / house / decorating things may be over , but again not American so don't know .

I am old but nothing beats a bit of Delia - proper cooking with no gimmicks.

I think the timing is very strange for a food show, at least of this type. Many people are looking to lose weight or have done enough hosting and spending money on food.

My take away is that everything looks better with sunshine and heaps of flowers.
The emphasis on love and joy seems like a heavy handed attempt to correct the spite and resentment of the last few years.

The food definitely seems very afternoon tea like, maybe the garden parties they seem to want to escape from weren't a complete waste of time.

That photo with the vintage tea cups etc - I think it looks pretty but did the UK not do this since 10 years ago. Not sure whether so prevalent in US but looks ( admittedly from that one photograph and that only - a bit behind the curve . )Although I still like it. - Not tea dresses though - although it matters not.

I wonder why it's being released in January. As others have mentioned, it's a month for tightening your belt, staying at home, dieting etc. Are they pushing it out now before an announcement that will completely undermine the 'happy, happy, happy marriage and fabulously wonderful life' thing she seems to be pushing?
