I find it so funny that the show is described as spreading joy and inspiration. It's such an odd and pretentious thing to say about yourself - as if you tell people enough times that you're inspiring and joyful then you can force them to believe it.
I don't think I've ever seen any person who is genuinely joyful and inspiring describe themselves that way.
Anyway, the trailer is all a bit cringe. Netflix don't appear to be promoting it at all - the timing is really odd as others have said and it didn't appear anywhere in my "coming soon" list this evening.
It's hard to see it being successful. In my experience, cooking or lifestyle shows only really work if the host has either a lot of charisma or a great sense of humour, and has the ability to create something aspirational but in a relatable way. Meghan is far too concerned with her own image and appearing to be perfect at all times to be relatable, and she takes herself incredibly seriously. She and her Hollywood friends are also not the types to be tucking into cake with gusto, so it's hard to imagine it will come across as authentic.
But let's see. It doesn't interest me enough to watch it but I'll certainly be here for the comments! I also wonder whether there will be any linked launch of ARO (under that, or any other name)
