The focus on the red hair is mainly because red hair is rare

Red hair really is not rare among children of mostly British descent, which Archie and Lili are.

Really weird thread
All this angst because the kids have red hair.
The focus on the red hair is mainly because red hair is rare and it is a link to Harry’s deceased mother who will never meet her grandchildren it has absolutely nothing to do with the elevation of the white aristocratic genes. That is ridiculous.
.
There is currently a tik tok video of a Nigerian couple . Their three children have red hair. It is fascinating because red hair is not common

The dissection of the Sussexes card by some posters is strange. Now I understand what Harry was talking about when he was interviewed the other day and referred to the behaviour of certain people.

It was you who said “Diana’s genes are strong”. This is what posters are querying. Why are “Diana’s genes” so important? Nothing to do with actual red hair. As pp have said anyway, Diana was blonde. Like William

Ooh. Nothing to do with the thread but all my options to react to a post have just changed 😱

None of it is weird or strange. It's normal for a couple who live for the publicity for the public to comment.,Angst? Certainly not ? The only angst I ever see is from fan pissters.

stripeyshutters · 18/12/2024 14:52

Sorry should have been posters.

Samcro · 18/12/2024 14:54

i find all this "sussex supporters say" stuff odd.
I don't know what the children look like, have only seen baby photos.
but most likely they look like cute kids. as most kids look like cute kids.
the main stuff I have personally seen on here about red hair is when its is used as the "ginger winger " type insult.

I've decided you luurve you using the new shiny feature. You are now my first luurve.

I think it is quite telling that the Princess Royal has simply signed her official Christmas card as 'From Anne'. Simple, no nonsense and approachable. We all know who she is and what title she has after all.
I find it rather grandiose and pretentious that H&M's card is 'from the office of' and we are Duke&Duchessed to the hilt, lest we forget 😆
I've just watched an interesting programme on Edward and Wallis and the parallels seem very much there.

Aspargar · 18/12/2024 22:07

Hands up how many of you have reunion photos in the family album of you as a small child and your parents?

No, me neither

As pp have said, it does recall the famous Diana reunion picture with her sons.

chollysawcutt · 19/12/2024 09:05

I wonder if they have actually seen the card, or is someone at their 'Office of' trolling them?

It just seems so odd that Harry, who despises the paparazzi, who blames them (and the RF, obvs) for his mum's death, should choose images that are very 'papped' (grainy/far away/voyeuristic) and reminiscent of his mum's constant media prescence.

Ha, this one will run and run, am sure!

MayaKovskaya · 19/12/2024 16:31

I think, @chollysawcutt that he only despises the press and the paps when it's not on his terms.

WTF?

Why do you care that non-Christians, who live in a country that shuts down at the end of the year because of a Christian holiday, wish each other non-Christian greetings? Or, indeed, why decent Christians might wish non-Christians non-Christian greetings? You're not the only person living in the UK. People are allowed to talk to people other than you and your Christian brethren.

And is Christmas not a holiday? So, can you not stretch your imagination as far as "holiday includes Christmas"? How old are you? Season's Greetings cards have been around in the UK for decades. We've ALWAYS sent those out, never Merry Christmas cards.

Have to say, the irony of a Christian taking offence at being wished a happy holiday is quite something. In reality, what you really want to say is "every other religion and every atheist and agnostic person should bugger off and respect ME in my BRITISH, CHRISTIAN country because you don't count as much as I do as a superior Christian British person" 💁

I hate the phrase 'Happy Holidays' and all your berating makes fuck all difference to my stance. The season is Christmas and that's what I shall use.

I'm old enough to like to carry on traditions. And you don't need to shout me down.

If people refused to use the name of significant festivals in other religions you can imagine the outcry. Yet Christians are supposed to just suck it up!

Really love the card

Diana didn't have red hair.

You don't need to feel threatened by "Happy Holidays". Nobody is taking anything away from you, including your traditions, and nobody is trying to force you to accept "Happy Holidays" - just ignore it if you find it offensive. If a random person on the street shouted out "happy diwali!" on the relevant date when the fireworks are going off and UK citizen/British revelers are pouring out of temples etc, wouldn't you just shrug and think "weird!" and move on with your life? Or would you find it offensive?

Happy Holidays clearly doesn't apply to you. It's irrelevant to your world and how you live your life. Fine. Ignore it. But to assert that because the UK is predominantly Christian it shouldn't be used because it's offensive to your particular brand of Christianity is wrong (and un-Christian, actually). There are many, many ways to be British and yours is no better or more superior than any other.

What's far weirder is your denial of Meghan's heritage in favour of celebrating Harry's! As for "angst" you're the one on here making a big deal of their red hair!! Don't you see the double standard?

Did you even read any of the posts above? You might have learned something.

Harry was talking shit as usual.

AmazingGraze · 19/12/2024 17:11

Is it her heritage though? Happy Holidays is an entirely meaningless term . There are holidays at any time of the year. It’s just generic. Also, considering she had a Church wedding and instruction from the Archbishop, it’s a bit hypocritical.

I don't know why you imagine I feel "threatened".

I object to the term "happy holidays" and regard is as yet another Americanisation that has crept into our language, which I dislike.

Spare me the lecture. I don't need to be patronised.

I be love that Anne's feather has featured in her card. 😂
