@queenofarles they have to maintain their dual argument of "royals never wanted a black woman" and "PH & MM's children are the most aristocratic of royals in looks and all other respect", because the former promotes the victim narrative of MM and seeks to trump any suggestion she had any part in her own failures to adjust to royal life through her own actions; and the latter perpetuates their fantasy that she will one day take the throne with the ginger prince and her offspring will be next in line. It's all quite pathetic.
They can't see their own racism/prejudice in crowing over Meghan's children not looking like her or or Doria, can't see that this is worse than the alleged (and never proven) "Archie's skin colour" conversation (as we are talking about living children, not the not yet conceived children of that alleged conversation). They can't see that PH going on Colbert and expressing relief that his ginger genes had prevailed - over his wife's mother's black genes presumably, as her father's genes are blue eyed/fair haired too - is worse than anything his family allegedly said. He and Meghan on the Netflix doc appearing to be almost disappointed and dismissive of Archie looking like her, then swooning over Lili's "blue, blue, blue" eyes lie Diana's is another example. In fact, all of their Diana-cult behaviour, from mooning over their daughter's looks to the names she was Christened with has been done to the exclusion of the children's living, breathing, presumably supportive and constantly babysitting African-American grandmother, Doria.
