Just that.

Not really. I can’t see the book of Harry musing on Putin’s childhood trauma reaching quite the same sales figures…

Oh wow, I had nearly forgotten that gem. Maybe H could buy one of those online PhDs from a US-based 'university' (maybe Better Up can establish one?), call himself Prince Dr H, and his next book could be the transcripts of a six-part series of podcasts with him & Meghan talking about the childhoods of the Pope, Putin, Kamala Harris, Elon Musk, King Charles III and Victoria Beckham.

Their minds would dissect the material in a manner not seen before in the modern era - a revealing progressive ballet of psychology, if you will. Nobel Prize winning stuff.

In fact Archewell could set up its own system of Noble Laureate Prizes, in case the recognition of genius doesn't come quickly enough.

Interesting new angle from the Team Meghan. She is not a bully because she is so bullied. All criticism of her actions (especially the really mean, anti-feminist, putting other women down, lies that she says and does etc) is bullying. All calls for her to stop saying nasty, threatening shit in interviews is bullying. Poor Meghan is not a bully, obvious. She is just defending herself for those people who won’t do as she tells them, won’t kiss her feet and insist on call out her toxic behaviour.

Yes, very bullied. Perhaps she should take some of her own advice.

This is the classic implusive DARVO (deny, attack, reverse victim and offender) pivot of abusers.

There is no taking a moment to reflect on the situation and how (even if inadvertently) their behaviour, words, delivery may have been insensitive or negatively impacted the other.

There is no wish to ease the distress of the other, or to be accountable or explore or even just to acknowlege the experiences of others.

Meanwhile, just to show the madness that is out there that the Sussex Squad cultivates, a UK til tokker who is a big proponent of #Where’sKate actually saw her in the flesh over the weekend. They both went to watch their young children play football fixtures - Kate was there with Louis. The til tokker snapped a photo of Kate (all bundled up and with a hat on) and commented that you could spot her security team, but Kate was trying to be low-key.

But then she went on a whole discussion about how she doesn’t believe in coincidences and that she’s feeling quite paranoid that this was a set up (presumably in an special palace op to try and persuade her personally that there’s no conspiracy here…?) while meanwhile commentators were asking which Kate impersonator she thought it was… Southport or Windsor Castle investiture?

My sympathy for Meghan isn’t high, I have to say. How Meghan can pontificate about online abuse without addressing what goes on specifically in her name by people she has endorsed is quite something.

Fugliest · 14/10/2024 12:26

I agree especially the timing of when she was proactively on the SXSW panel in March at the height of the Kate abuse - and she chose not to address the people who do this in her name but blurt out some disingenuous, self serving, victim word salad.

Also all the numerous colleagues, friends and family she has treated badly and ghosted over the years ... I think her brother had a point when he wrote to PH before the wedding in 2018 to say:

“MM is jaded, shallow, conceited woman that will make a joke of you and the royal family heritage.”

smilesy · 14/10/2024 12:39

I wonder which Louis impersonator they thought it was 🤔😆

@FloofPaws Santa Barbara. I would quite like to be there right now as well. The weather in England was rubbish today.

Gorgeous places live. Weather like that makes me tan.

With the Laureates buying their prizes.

Platinum, Gold, Silver and Copper, of course, in the LA style.

That just came up on my FYP. That woman is unhinged. Genuinely. She's popped up on my feed before and I stupidly commented once. Middle aged woman just finished treatment for cancer looks her age when not wearing makeup and being glammed up to the nines on a wet and windy day standing around a muddy football pitch.

Catherine's (& William) been pictured at her kids football matches before and always looks much the same - bundled up trying not to attract attention.

It's not surprising though for the Sussex Squad to continue to deny reality and instead try to skew it further rather than admit they were mistaken. You do have to wonder how long they can keep it up for

Bontonbonbon · 14/10/2024 15:48

exactly @Serenster. Meghan must know what goes on in her name online and never calls it out or tries to highlight it at all. She just continues to pretend that it only happens to her!

Has one of them been arrested recently?

CathyorClaire · 14/10/2024 16:41

They clearly did though! In a year when the group made significant acquisitions (I.e.spent a lot of money) and faced riding costs, they only missed last year’s profit by 2m Euros.

Sales up yet profit and operating margin down but no doubt the intention to off-set whatever income there was from golden goose 'Spare' against run of the mill costs and currency fluctuations was there from the start 😁

Interestingly both sales and income have increased this year and all without the Harold factor:

Meghan would never speak up about the bullying Kate has faced in her name. I think people underestimate what a piece of work she really is.

Look at this interview. Pre-Harry, doing her small bit-part on Suits (she got an average of 1.42 mins screen time per episode apparently). She's being interviewed with one of the main characters. But she does not let that woman get a word in, its very uncomfortable to watch and her co worker is so gracious.
Classic Meghan, she's positioned herself in the middle, facing the camera, we've seen her elbow Harry tons of times to get the prime spot. Watch her face at 6 minutes in when her co-worker finally manages to get a word in. She is enraged!

She's truly scary IMO. I've never seen anyone else like her.

Mylovelygreendress · 14/10/2024 18:03

Off topic ( sorry ) however I was interested to read Mike Tindal saying it was easy to join the RF as they were nice to him and he was nice to them .
Can’t help feeling there was a not so subtle dig there .

Theunamedcat · 14/10/2024 18:07

He hasn't even been invited to redo royal duties wtf is everyone on about? 😂

Gosh that's really quite shocking. Her expression is something to behold!

Watch without sound - it’s fascinating being able to concentrate on the expression. It’s odd because actors are supposed to be used to looking interested in their costars comments - even if they are doing a press junket and have heard the same old quips a million times.

AutumnMagpies · 14/10/2024 19:16

I’ve seen her give that same look to Catherine.

garlicandsapphires · 14/10/2024 19:27

That YouTuber though - ‘Winning Communication’ - has hundreds of videos on MM.
Seems a bit odd. I wouldn’t take anything he takes seriously.
I mean why??
I guess he must make a lot from it Confused

There are quite a few people making a lot of money doing reaction videos about people like Meghan. I think there is quite a lot of money if you get popular - that other body language guy used to do funny videos about a range of people but he veered into just doing Meghan and Harry videos which I assumed was because he was making a lot more money doing that than just general body language things. I stopped watching him when he did that because it got repetitive and boring but I guess he still had an audience to keep going.

Bontonbonbon · 14/10/2024 19:44

That account is weirdly obsessive. The issue is that Meghan opens herself up to the criticism and makes it more believable by behaving quite hypocritically and being dishonest. If she could relax a bit (admit that she has sometimes been wrong in the way she’s treated people) then it wouldn’t be as easy to criticise her.

DalRiata · 14/10/2024 20:12

I agree that the account seems a bit weird. I'd just never seen that interview before and was not expecting her to look that venomous. It wasnt his dialogue I was setting any store by - it was her expressions and behaviour.

AutumnCrow · 14/10/2024 20:27

You Tube has a whole genre of US-based You Tubers being filmed reacting to pretty much anything: the British royal family, Harry & Meghan, British comedy like Monty Python and Dick Emery, you name it.

If you analyse the number of views, they do seem to go up significantly when the You Tuber focuses on showing clips of and talking about the cultural phenomenon that is Harry/Meghan and reactions to them.

I've watched a bit of the output from Dylan 'Winning Communication; Jen Real Housewife; the Sidley Twins; HG Tudor; Proper Wiseguy; the Royal Rogue; PDina; Beebs Kelley; and watched many videos from Lost Beyond Pluto (and the Plutonium Show) from Australia. Pluto is head and shoulders above the rest, IMO.

These videos can seem pretty repetitive. I've said this before on another thread, but I think they jumped the shark when they started interviewing each other, and I suspect a few of them move among us, getting ideas for content - as do a couple of Mail journalists that I haven't mentioned.

However, the You Tubers do seem to be sent or able to unearth archive clips and photos that are of cultural interest, so there's that I suppose.

This board is also the home of paid saccharorum, I suspect.

The Mike Tindal thing is definitely a dig. He's had quite a bit of coverage the last few days. I think I read something about him having a book coming out.

I can see him and Zara doing a bigger royal role in the next few years.
