Showing up to support her very close friend who lost her child and also the children’s hospital at an evening gala. What a friend to have in the Duchess. Meghan was glowing, fresh faced, wore minimal makeup, was confidant and smiley. She was well spoken and supportive of the evening fund raiser when interviewed. Show Up, Do Good. Yes, she always does. Loved her look too.

By era of joy do you mean ‘era of deflection from genuine criticism and terrible choices’. This is another deflect from the multitude of disasters this year. She’s either started listening to advice or is just desperate enough to try anything.

She didn’t have a table at the gala because you had to pay for one. I do wonder if money is tight for them these days. She would have had to make a donation to stay. It is a very, very strange thing to do to turn up just to have your picture taken. How is that supporting the cause?

The more photos that come out it looks like she decided at the last minute to rush out to this event - even her heels are needing a pedicure!

I wish people wouldn't engage with posters like this. It is exactly what they want.

I was just re-watching Harry and Meghan on Netflix, and I thought they were so right to leave the UK.

The amount of abuse she got was awful.

She wears human hair wigs and human hair weaves. The only natural thing about her hair is that it once belonged to someone else.

The dress is nice except for the nipple stitching. How can you pay so much for a dress to have these hideous nipples on your dress. A smoother line would be much more appropriate.

It's nice she was there for a friend, not sure it adds anything than that tho

So an event in remembrance of her friends late son, Meghan said "oh I'm only stopping for photos, I have two kids at home I need to get back to"? Nice.

Taste yo urinalysis admit you don't like her so any comment you make isn't becuase of fair criticism it's actually because you don't like her and well when people dont like someone its not criticsm its just bitchy, nasty comments.

The Harry and Meghan dynamic is fascinating

He is no doubt devoid of empathy in the manner he has stuck it to his family and although he benefits from a hierarchy he rails against it when it doesn’t work in his favour

He has found an equal in Meghan and it is fascinating that they almost think as one - she appears to be the brains of the outfit and her capacity for ghosting and revenge is the icing on the cake

I have a similar unpleasant family member who has become scheming and more unpleasant in his twilight years after meeting his match
He also is totally dependent on her

Harry has always seems a bit odd - it must make him feel powerful when he sees the damage he can inflict - there must be something missing inside to enjoy that - I think he comes across quite chilling at times - somethings off

I can see why he was attracted to meghan.

Harry was brought up in an extremely rigid structure. If he went out with a woman from his social class, she would be very similar to himself, which is boring. A UK woman would also be subservient to him. And that's not attractive.

Meghan was completely different. She is strong, confident, she doesn't kowtow to Harry.

She sees herself as fully equal to him. That's attractive.

She didn't show up to support her friend in any meaningful way, because it was a charity event for a children's hospital and Meghan didn't pay for a table, or as far as we know, donate at all. She turned up to have her photo taken on the red carpet, then left. (People magazine report she was escorted out by a staff member, which can be read as she was asked to leave). This isn't supporting, this is Meghan using sick children as a platform to promote herself.

Funny. She’s so lacking in self awareness it’s embarrassing, Even the people I know who used to support Meghan have realised how self centred & controlling she is.

If the Princess of Wales showed up to a hospital event, she would be called kind and caring.

If Meghan goes, she is called "lacking in self awareness, embarrassing and wanting attention'

Do you ever think that you should just grow up, and stop attacking women?

At these sort of functions you are not only obliged to pay for your seat, but buy a whole table. So not only is that $$$$ but you have to find a bunch of people to join you and who will dig deep.

I don’t understand the “natural look” comment. She is wearing a truckload of make-up - just look at her eyebrows! Nothing wrong with that - I would be trowelling it on too if I went to a fancy event - but she is far from au naturelle.

Also “Show up, do good” is more like “Show up with new face”.

She wasn't a speaker at the event - she just said a few appropriate words whilst on the carpet.

And if she was really showing support to her friend, then she would have stayed for the event - the best kind of support is buying a table, bringing rich friends and getting them behind the cause. Next best is being there for the actual event (and making some sort of donation).

Just turning up for the photos seems self-serving, though I can see why the organisers were glad of the extra publicity - assuming that the name of the charity also sticks (particularly in the more local community) rather than being lost as just backdrop. From the UK, it's backdrop; so the total effect is probably rather more off to this audience

The difference is that the POW would not have made the event about her and wouldn't have simpered up and down a red carpet, lunging for someone's hand to fondle in her no-no-zone. The POW would have talked from the heart - no sound bites or word salad - and wouldn't have made any part of the speech about her.

I cannot think of a single event that the Princess of Wales has only arrived for arrival photos and not stayed for the whole event.

So I agree that she would not be criticised for doing that.

Or maybe it's because the POW is white , British and suitable, and Meghan is divorced, mixed race and American.

How do you know how long the POW has stayed at events.

At every event she goes to? I'm sure that she doesn't stay at some of them for hours and hours. They do a brisk meet and greet.

I remember a documentary where charles showed himself going to to three events in a day. He literally walked in, shook hands, looked at a few things and walked out.
