Just looking at the photos of Harry in Lesotho . Don’t know when I last saw him looking so relaxed and happy .

How can she barely be in Montecino? Her kids are there!

Are they?

He looks a wreck. He needs to shave it all off and get over it. Then he needs a hot shower and to wash his face.

His brother always looks well scrubbed and as if he smells nice. Harry looks like a pub carpet.

He needs to read the proper guide to a beard eg two fingers above the Adam's apple, straight lines etc - none of this wild and woolly stuff!

"How can she barely be in Montecino? Her kids are there!"

Do you think they fend for themselves when they are in Colombia, Nigeria etc?

One assumes she goes home when she’s finished.

I think the less groomed beard look was ok a few years ago. These days there are so many inventive ways to style a beard and we are used to seeing actors and men in the spotlight sporting very well groomed beards that in comparison this natural look makes him appear rather unkempt.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 05/10/2024 15:40

Does Archie need to be in school yet at 5 under US regs or not?

In California it's not statutory until six, @Glooop:

"California's compulsory education law (See EC Section 48200 on the CDE Selected California Education Codes web page) requires each person between 6 and 18 years of age to attend public, full-time day school and requires their parents or guardians to send them unless legally exempt"
(Remember that in the US "public school" means state school, whereas "private schools are exactly that and will have their own rules)

Of course there's the possibility of kindergarted/preschool before that, but I've no idea if either child attends them

Thanks @Puzzledandpissedoff - maybe MM is getting her ducks in a row and positioning herself down in LA where she is likley to be longterm for work opportunities (and maybe for more friends and family support if she ends up as a single parent) as well as getting ahead for Archies education.

It would appear that the Monteceito mansion lifestyle is not financially sustainable?

Baital · 05/10/2024 17:19

Presumably 'legally exempt' would include sending them to a private school?

I’m finding your line of questioning very odd. When people split up what do you think happens. One never sees their kids and the kids stay in the family home all the time? Surely not. How do you not know kids go between places?

Baital · 05/10/2024 17:19

Yes it does, Baital - ditto being tutored/homeschooled, though the education authorities' oversight of the second one is even worse than in the UK

Unfortunately state education in California is widely held to be not very good, and I recall being there one year when the local SAT results were published - local being the richest city in one of the richest states. I was married back then, and my headteacher DH pointed out that if his much more modest UK school had returned results like that he'd have been rightly sacked

I rather doubt it'll matter to H&M's two though, since I'll be very surprised if they're not privately educated

They haven't split up!

Ok, how do you know that?

hepsitemiz · 05/10/2024 21:13

I have no position personally on whether or not their marriage is still strong, but this is being reported on prime time TV in France - see photo. I only caught the last two minutes by chance. They’re saying he may be preparing a return to UK 🙄. Interviewed a journalist called Emma Jones (have not heard of her). The French have quite an appetite for news of the remaining monarchies in Europe… esp the British RF.

Some couples can and do live quite apart, because they need to, with the children in schools and/or with private tuition.

Depending on circumstances, at 8+, 11+ or 13+, boarding schools may be involved, and sometimes children move between countries during school holidays.

Unfortunately for Harry, given the content of his autobiographical Spare, he would be on shaky ground trying to argue that such a lifestyle never harmed him.

SqueakyDinosaur · 05/10/2024 21:50

I would have thought that the fact that his parents were knocking lumps out of each other across the media for several years, and therefore not really co-parenting amicably, plus the very public death of his mother is going to have done a lot more damage than boarding school.

The kids are preschool. If Harry and Megan are living apart it isn’t due to the kids,

Gorgonemilezola · 05/10/2024 23:53

'The French have quite an appetite for news of the remaining monarchies in Europe… esp the British RF.'

We're just back from France and the number of glossy mags carrying complimentary stories of the rf (especially Kate and William), and uncomplimentary stories of Harry and Meghan was astounding. They may have got rid of their own royalty centuries ago but they're certainly interested in ours 😁

SqueakyDinosaur · 06/10/2024 06:33

They love all Royals! Point de Vue is an absolutely brilliant magazine- utterly banal gossip but in the most lovely flowery language.

Savingthehedgehogs · 06/10/2024 06:55

Ofc he looks relaxed, heavenly silence and some free time. Not entirely sure why he is ‘touring’ as a one man circus. He is just trying to keep himself relevant and in the public eye, as slipping into obscurity will be a disaster financially for them. It’s nothing more or less.

Needanewname42 · 06/10/2024 08:01

Yes the touring keeps him relevant but at the same time there's limited charities he's involved with so limited events he can go to.

I do wonder how he's feeling being away from her. He looks much happier without her. But is that just a show?

summerlemons · 06/10/2024 08:36

Meanwhile in LA…

I have to say she does look stunning! And mentions the kids briefly to the other parents too.

ThePoshUns · 06/10/2024 08:56

She looks so much nicer with her hair loose.
Lots of coded speculation in that article about them spending time apart.

It's just boring vile speculation. They are deeply in love. I don't think I have ever seen such a connecter couple. Plus I think because so much media and others have been vile to them it strengthens their bond. I can never see them splitting.

Alectoishome · 06/10/2024 09:55

I think its a strange choice of outfit for a children's gala. The other women look lovely, but she never seems to get it quite right for any occasion. I think most women wouldn't choose to wear a dress like to go and meet a bunch of children for a hospital fundraiser. She's an odd one, no doubt about it.

Alectoishome · 06/10/2024 09:56

She looks strained and a bit manic. A far cry from her usual smug, cat that got the cream expression.

Yes that’s what I thought. She looks ill at ease .
