See all these wise posters, lots of what we have said has been ‘confirmed’ by other sources

article in the DM:

One senior Hollywood publicist tells me: 'First of all, everyone industry-wide, EVERYONE reads The Hollywood Reporter. It's really striking that WME did not stop this running.'
She adds: 'WME normally – you would think – would have been threatening and denying access to other stars. Was this done here?

Thats exactly what we all thought! it’s strange how they are letting this stuff out.

As we have all seen in recent days, the dark art of covering up and killing stories- look at Al Fayed and what he got away with. So WME have done nothing???

Also, Harry attending an event in his own because Meghan is sick. No. This is part of separating their ‘brands’- I doubt she will attend any future events like these with Harry.

Seems like the wheels are falling off to me!

Has Hollywood turned on the Sussexes? Industry bigwigs reveal all

Days after a brutal take-down in The Hollywood Reporter, which labelled Meghan as 'Duchess Difficult', neither she nor Harry attended her talent agent's Emmys after party.

I’ve always thought that William was classically handsome in spite of his baldness. Now he has stubble to balance it out, he is by far the superior looking brother. He looks so much like his mother. As does George.

I’m interested to see who Lili takes after. Archie looks very much like Thomas Markle. Louis is a mini Michael Middleton and Charlotte looks very much like the late Queen and Sarah Chatto.

Archie looks very much Thomas Markle, I saw a photo of him as a young man that he shared with the Daily Mail and the facial feature similarities to Archie are striking. Makes it all the more sad that they are unlikely to ever meet.

I just wish Prince Harry would get a haircut, he just looks like such a scruff at the moment. Unkempt, untidy sweaty looking hair. Being well groomed makes such a difference, it's disrespectful not to be at the kind of events he's attended recently. (Diana awards etc)

A well groomed man is very attractive. H is an utter scruff. I don't know what his problem is. He's got the money to get a decent haircut and beard trim. My ds is a 'poor' student and still finds the money to get his beard trimmed every couple of weeks.

GiveMeSpanakopita · 30/09/2024 17:07

Getting Archie to hand out stuff to homeless people is just awful. It's very feudal, like Henry II and Eleanor of Aquitaine used to ride thru London with their young children handing out money to beggars, the idea being that the King and Queen couldn't lower themselves to do so but royal children being 'pure' wouldn't be damaged by physical contact with the great unwashed? Urgh, so nasty.

H&M do a lot of declasse stuff, like I hated it when they went thru that phase of trolling the public by sneaking references to sex acts/sex positions into their media interviews. Roasting chicken, wafflemaker etc etc. It's so childish but also so incredibly disrespectful, do they think we're stupid? That's the kind of thing stoned teens do and think is funny and clever...

Uricon2 · 30/09/2024 17:30

I didn't know that about Henry II and Eleanor @GiveMeSpanakopita

Imagine the AIBU. "I have been given money by the Devil's Brood. I feel a bit insulted, am I OK to keep it though? Need to go on pilgrimage because of recurrent boils".

I feel silly and naive now because I would have taken the chicken and the waffle references at face value! I'll have to Google those terms..

I am most definitely not going to! Some of us are still in trauma from the frostbitten todger Grin and this sounds much worse potentially.

Yip and rumours in the DailyMail is he's going straight to Africa without Meg too.

He doesn't have long in London on his way to Africa. I bet he'll come back to the UK after he leaves Africa rather going straight back to the US.

Thedom · 30/09/2024 18:06

It was the bodyguard who gave the backpack to the homeless person LOL. of course with a journalist in the car with them, so phone.

"At a stoplight, she reaches into the trunk and produces a brand-new black backpack and hands it to her security detail to give to an unhoused man on the corner. They are teaching Archie that some people live in big houses, some in small, and that some are in between homes. "

The fact that he CHOOSES to spend this much time away from his kids is shocking.

He could space out these events, once every 3/4 weeks. This is also on top of the 5 day colombia trip, the 4 day trip to the UK for the spencer aunt hubby memorial, the ‘lads, lads, lads’ birthday break, 7 day trip to NY, 2 Days in UK and then off to Lesotho.
All in the last 6 weeks- he must have spent 4 of that travelling and being away from his kids.

What a shit parent he is

Fitting that he started his big speech the other day- asking what the audience had on their phone Home Screen- he says it’s a picture of his kids. Sure, cause that’s the only fucking time you see them.

What's going on with his hair in that photo? Has he had a hair transplant? His hair is two different colours and texture on the sides and top.

CoffeeCantata · 30/09/2024 18:27

@Alectoishome Oh no - I advise you not to! It's really revolting.

I agree that using expressions or putting in 'in jokes' which will go above the heads of your intended audience is really tacky - and suggests you feel superior and have contempt for them. The roast chicken and waffle references say a lot about Meghan and Harry.

It reminds me of 2 things: it fits in with Meghan's comment that her eye-wateringly expensive wedding wasn't what they wanted - it was just a 'spectacle for the masses''; and something abut Blue Peter (in the old days!). Biddy Baxter, the woman behind BP, felt passionately about treating the young audience with respect, so when a couple of maverick presenters thought it was funny to include double-entendres in the programme, they got their knuckles rapped, and were soon let go. I remember Simon Groom was one, and he though BB was just being prudish. But she wasn't - she thought that he was being disrespectful to his audience, and that's what H & M are guilty of. They really do show their true colours.

Twistybranch · 30/09/2024 18:33

Also compare him with William.

How often is William doing overnights stays? Rarely. And he has an actual job! He is heir to the throne.

Yet Harry abandons those kids on a regular basis. After all the crap he spouted about his own childhood too.

Im sure at some point the press will pick up on the fact that he is an absentee father

Maybe I want to give him the benefit of the doubt but some of it would be out of his control.
Some of it he might be trying to avoid a certain person (not the kids) fed up of being controlled, using it as a bit of breathing space.

Hughs · 30/09/2024 18:41

I'm sure I remember that a gripe he and William both had with Charles was that he was always working and not around enough. Weird how Harry is so sensitive to the flawed behaviour he sees in those around him - absent parent, doing deals with the press, planting / leaking stories, invasion of privacy - but can't avoid those behaviours himself.

William on the other hand does seem to have decided that his children's childhoods would be different from his own. But then he has the Middletons as role models which probably helps.

It's a bit harsh calling him a shit parent. Plenty of parents have to be away from home for work for long stretches. As an expat, you often have duties to attend to back home, which entail travel. I don't much care for the man, but I think you can at least credit him with loving his children and not being a shit parent...

Twistybranch · 30/09/2024 18:47

Agree, William has had a role model with the Middletons. They are all very close.

Meghan and Harry don’t have any examples to follow, and he is guilty of all the things @Hughs mentioned.

I suspect he will have a lot of questions to answer when those kids get older. Not only from all the stories that would have been written about H&M, why they weren’t allowed to meet with family members, why they were hidden away and why their dad willingly chose to leave them for long periods….for a brand exercise. Even Meghan is around a lot more than he is.

He has provided those kids with a pretty sad childhood, albeit one in a sunny, fancy pants location

Yeh, for work. For money. To put food on the table and a roof over the family’s head. Lots of people have to do that.

He ain’t getting paid for these appearances, this isn’t a real job that he is leaving those kids for. He a multi millionaire, that never has to work in his life. He CHOOSES to leave those kids. That makes him a shit parent, when if you look how often he has been away in the last 6 weeks.

I disagree. Just because you're well off/rich, doesn't mean you don't have to work. Whatever that work is, it's work. It's voluntary in his case, because he doesn't need a salary. All the more reason to do it. And, many times rich people WANT to work. They choose to. Is that a bad thing? Not everyone works or "works" for money. It's a different world but a no-less valid world.

And it's not like they don't have a mother at home.

Seriously, you're way off calling him a shit parent on the basis of the travel schedule you've seen. Are presidents and prime ministers shit parents?

I wonder if the children ever get to go to the beach and have normal experiences like that? So sad for them to only have one member of extended family.

I think a lot of people find it hard not to repeat negative patterns from childhood. I'd love to know more of the psychology behind it.

Work all you want but be there to tuck your kids in at night, when you got millions in the bank and have sold the world your sob story that you’re dad wasn’t around as a kid because he was a workaholic.

He’s been away….not working during the day….for weeks and weeks in different states and continents, choosing to not be with his kids.

He is a shit parent

prime ministers and presidents have actual jobs! They run counties. Harry couldn’t run a bath.

He has no job, he’s just making up some sort of career as he goes along…with embarrassing results and a kids left stuck at home
