On their Instagram.

Surprised tbh, thought I read they wouldn't acknowledge it.

Maybe they are channeling Michelle Obama: when they go low, we go high.

Who started it the media and Piers Morgan. Harry had to tell his side of the story did you expect him to walk away quietly.

Remember he didn’t want to walk away ! He heard the word no for possibly the first time in his life so flounced off.

Unless it’s for $$$.
So how do you know they are beautiful?

If you look for earlier snaps you can see they are beautiful children.

pilates · 15/09/2024 13:34

Well W & K are the better people which we already knew

Abbylikeswine · 15/09/2024 13:35

They didn't really kill themselves did they.

It's a very generic photo, it looks like it was posted by their publicist

The media wasn't following Meghan's every move and criticisising her. Honestly I couldn't read it made me feel uncomfortable. You're upset that they took action.

Princess Diana, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

Harry and Meghan: What's the media's 'invisible contract' with British royalty?

Prince Harry spoke of an "invisible contract" between his family and media - what does it involve?

Harry and Meghan are a beautiful couple with beautiful children.

Bring beautiful really doesn’t say anything about your character and values, though.

An innocent child really?

IsoldeWagner · 15/09/2024 13:24

ps I had no expectations.
I thought - foolishly, they wanted a more low key private life, not the exact opposite.
Monetising family privacy. Vile.

Would they have got that if they said nothing I highly doubt it.

4andup · 15/09/2024 13:45

IsoldeWagner · 15/09/2024 13:23

Who started it? Them with the Oprah interview.
Tell your story? Fine.
Invade others' privacy and tell lies about them, and continue for years? No.
Absolutely awful behaviour.

They were bullied out of the country.

4andup · 15/09/2024 13:42

No, they'd just have his inherited millions and his money from the Bank of Pa.
You're right, trashing the family has been very lucrative $$$$$

😂😂
By wanting the half in, half out?!
They've certainly re-written history 😅! Or attempted to.

Abbylikeswine · 15/09/2024 13:48

If I was Harry, I would have left aswell.

What did he have to gain by staying in the UK.

In his autobiography he said that he was unhappy in the UK even before he met Meghan.

He had no mother. His father had become very distant once he met Camilla.
He said that William was also distant with him, that he lived right beside him, but never asked him over.

He was lonely.

He had to leave because he announced he would be half in/half out before discussing it with the RF so lost the option to be in and wasn’t allowed to be half in.

I think lots of people can understand not wanting to be a working senior member and would have backed anyone leaving that life but it is the way he has gone about it and how he had since earned money.

Toastbuttermarmaladetea · 15/09/2024 13:52

Lonely? He had a big group of friends and a girlfriend (right up until the moment he met Meghan). He was busy with Invictus (including on their alleged first date). He complains in Spare that William and Catherine had too little time for him because they had children. He's a man in his 30s vying for attention with toddlers. He's pathetic.

For the umpteenth time - he didn’t want to leave ! Remember the grandiose statement issued early January 2020 ? Internal discussions ? Collaborating with the Queen ??!
The Queen said no so off they flounced .
History has indeed been rewritten . In previous interviews Harry said he loved going to W and C’s house because the fridge was always full and he loved playing with the kids .
Meghan wasn’t happy because she would always be behind Catherine .

Yes he said in his book that he was lonely.

So what if he had friends.

He didn't have either parent.

He said that Charles was a very uninvolved parent. And that once he married camilla, that he barely saw Harry.

Youre incorrect.

Prior to internal discussions with the Queen, they had already decided to leave England.

The discussions were about how much involvement they would have in the Royal family.

But at that stage, they had already decided to leave the UK.

Many people don't have parents by the time they're in their late 30s. He really is an eternal teenager.

Why are you angry that he left the UK anyway.

He is allowed to move country, like every other human being is.

Re-reading that is hilarious - he was obviously leapfrogging the two in line to the throne and suggesting he and MM would have a different / special role with HMTQ.

So delusional and grandiose.

However if both of their behaviours hadnt been so atrocious by that point - abusing their staff and family members - I think something would have been considered.

But by that point thery had shat on their own door step and were too high risk to be entrusted with representing the RF.

The queen protected her son Prince Andrew from media scrutiny but not Meghan and Harry. They had to take the papers to court.

This is complete nonsense though! Andrew had the nicknames “Airmiles Andy” from the press long before the Epstein events.

Then the story about his friendship with Epstein was broken by the News of the World in February 2011. This led to all the press writing starting writing about this issue throughout the first half of 2011. The press reports caused such a storm that in July 2011 the Palace announced that he was standing down as Trade Envoy, following “intense criticism”.

There was then an absolute load of coverage (more front pages than Sussexit generated in January 2020) following the December 2014 Florida court filing that alleged that Prince Andrew was one of several prominent figures to have participated in sexual activities with Virginia Giuffre. The court papers were published, the photos dug up….

The Guardian reported later on how he was alleged to have given foot massages to another young woman trafficked by Epstein; the Daily Mail hunted down the video footage of him at Epstein’s NY house in 2010 and published that; each of the permutation of the UK legal proceedings were widely covered. The Guardian alone has 14 pages of archived stories about Prince Andrew going back to 2011.

There’s a free press in this country - the above demonstrates it in action.

I'm in my late thirties. Most people I know, still have the support of their parents.

He lost his mother at an unusually young age.

He's entitled to bit of happiness.

He definitely rebelled against the idea of the ideal British wife. By going for a mixed race American divorcee.

That was probably part of the attraction to meghan.
