I have seen the inheritance from QEm as being 8 million and then elsewhere as 90 million. Anyone know which is correct? I mean it's a bit of a difference,!

I see H and M have been at Tyler Perrys birthday party. It’s strange H isn’t having a party himself . I would have thought M would have jumped at the chance to invite lots of Slebs.

AFAIK the figures aren't public - neither the amount that was originally put in trust, nor its present-day value.

Nor exactly who it was left to. The late Queen Mother had 12 great-grandchildren, and how the sum was to be split between them isn't public either, though it's frequently reported that Prince William (as direct heir) would be getting a lesser share as he was in line for the Duchy incomes idc.

It's been reported that the trust was set up in 1994 with £19m. That's not public record though and who knows if that's accurate?

What that is worth today and how it's split between the 12 great- grandchildren is also speculation.

Assuming though the figures are accurate £100 in 1994 is worth £205 today.

So even without judicious investment it's worth at least double. That divided by 12 is circa £3m.

So it's unlikely to be in the tens of millions but upwards of £3m as it is also reported that William gets less/nothing (which sounds feasible) and I'll bet it will have been very well invested.

On that basis £8m sounds like a reasonable guess - but essentially a guess is all it will be.

I have no idea whether he had 'issues' with AK. Just saying that minor annoyances can coexist with genuine respect and appreciation, IF there were minor annoyances.

And sitting with her hand plastered to her face to make sure everyone can see her rings, to ensure we know she and Harry are still together. Also it reminds journalists to add in the value of them when totting up how many hundreds of thousands of dollars-worth of jewellery snd clothing she's strapped herself into this time.

The rest were able to arrive and leave discreetly. Except Harry and Megan and their guest. With Megan grinning like a Cheshire Cat when she saw the paps. Part of me wonders if she called them.

i did chuckle at their statment over the Hollywood reporter article, that they were concerned and thought it was a former disgruntled employee. lol. No hon, it was someone who just loved working for you. 😂 yeah it was a disgruntled employee, 12 of them, as they think you’re an abusive bullying employer. Harry's birthday weekend seems to be him being dragged around to other people's photo ops. The lighting director clearly didn't sign an NDA!

All of those attributes don’t preclude romantic love. Just because William may have been looking for other characteristics that would give his marriage a chance of success doesn’t mean he didn’t also feel giddy about Catherine. It was belittling of Harry to suggest otherwise.

I’ve always found the Markle “love story” difficult to swallow, by contrast. Whatever brought them together, it wasn’t love in any meaningful sense.

Oprah is driving herself, ditto the Paramount boss. No security in those cars by the look of it. I can also see Meghan systematically sits in the middle seat giving any photographer a better view. Idk if the press were tipped off but being high profile, the likes of Oprah I would think are potential kidnap for ransom targets. I wonder if they were also ok to be papped whilst exposing that they don’t have security driving them everywhere…

Definitely not £90million. The Queen had to pay off her mother’s debts when she died. QM also had other ggc to leave money to. I’m hearing that £8million could even be overstated.

I think Oprah does go about her business without security, from what I’ve read.also as she lives in montecito and the party wasn’t publicised , it would be a short drive, she clearly saw the paps and ignored them, the parmount guys wife covering her face, I’d honestly think Megan called them.

I see David Beckham has just won an Emmy for his Netflix documentary. Ouch that’s got to hurt 😁 I really enjoyed it (didn’t watch the H&M one as its trailers were so off putting).

While we'll never know for sure, I think the QMs legacies were (relatively) modest. She lived in grand style but only owned one house, the Castle of Mey, which was signed over to a trust. She was funded by the Civil list, I imagine also propped up by the late Queen, who is known to have paid her debts off. I'm sure any money she did want passed to her grandchildren/gt grandchildren was well invested but figures like 90 million seem really improbable, 8 for Harry much more feasible.

ETA I suppsoe it is not beyond belief that Harry might say how much "only" whatever inheritance is, framed as further "proof" of being cut off and impoverished, etc etc. He is possibly tone deaf enough.

Isn’t it lucky that Meghan just happens to be sitting right in the middle of the back seat rather than stuck behind the driver and bodyguard like the other 2 ? This way the paps manage to get a photo of her grinning .
