Hollywood Reporter - Meghan and Harry

Why Hollywood Keeps Quitting on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle (hollywoodreporter.com)

Why’d they all leave? What explains the churn? “Everyone’s terrified of Meghan,” claims a source close to the couple. “She belittles people, she doesn’t take advice. They’re both poor decision-makers, they change their minds frequently. Harry is a very, very charming person — no airs at all — but he’s very much an enabler. And she’s just terrible.”

Would you work for Harry and Meghan? Ex-employees say run away.

Thanks for explaining this Hughs.
I still have a sinking feeling that this rticle won't take her down.
Sadly.
I think it's because I've personally seen narcissists win, win and win again.
How they get away with it, and how Meghan gets away with her behaviour, confuses the hell out of me with regard to human psychology

The word on Celebitchy 🙄is that it must have been a mole and they don't believe a word of it. One wrote 'Meghan is the least mean person I can imagine - it's obviously lies!' They think the RF is behind it, of course, and wish Meghan was actually mean in order to defend herself effectively.

As well as claiming it's not true they simultaneously commend Meghan for 'making grown men cry' and urge her to do more of the same.

None of this makes any sense - they contradict themselves at every turn. But the main take-away is: Meghan is lovely, absolutely infallible and the perfect princess. These mean attacks (on someone who only ever does good) probably originate from 'Kate' and William who are insanely jealous of Meghan.

It confuses the hell out of me, too, Greenfields!

FuzzyDiva · 15/09/2024 14:32

I do wonder about the NDA made when Harry and Meghan were working royals because surely they would have been made with the Palace and not Harry and Meghan. Therefore, if anyone breaches them is it not up to the Palace to sue and under GDPR would Harry and Meghan even be entitled to a copy of the agreement if they wanted to try to take their own action?

Too many skeletons for the closet to close!

That's brilliant! Especially with the green goblin ensemble...

MummyJ12 · 15/09/2024 14:36

It confuses (and frustrates) me too @GreenFields11 and @CoffeeCantata. I have no idea why people are so blind in their adoration and why they continue to defend someone as toxic as Meghan obviously is.

CoffeeCantata · 15/09/2024 14:38

I wonder if H & M are trying to emulate the RF and attempting a 'never apologise, never explain' strategy with all this? After all, there's not a lot they can say in response.

How on earth can she possibly do her 'cooking and friendship' show now? You'd think this would totally wreck her credibility as a nice, warm, easy-going person with a relaxed attitude to life and a circle of good friends? And that's not taking into account the reported problems in just making the show in terms of Meghan irritating and offending the chefs etc.

SonicTheHodgeheg · 15/09/2024 14:40

I wonder if they considered “Recollections may vary” 😬

cheezncrackers · 15/09/2024 14:40

Predictable that they're going with 'attack is the best form of defence'. After all, that's been their MO all along and it's worked like a charm with their deranged fanboys and girls. If Ellen was cancellable, why not Meghan? Ellen was HUGE and Meghan, without Harry, is nobody.

'Mistruths' has been used by MM before. Whatever its etymology, it's basically a euphemism for 'lies'.

Re the staff still in post being sources for the article, don't forget they may still be officially in post ( ie on the payroll but serving out paid notice on gardening leave) after having resigned.

And it's equally possible the interview itself was conducted while the source was still actually in post.

The interview with the editor in chief was yesterday, he was very clear they have a dozen people on record, current and past employees, inc one current and senior employee, who have spoken and verified Megan’s bullying.

this isn’t just one person, past or present or recently resigned. It’s 12 employees, past and present, and one current very senior one. As in still there now.

@LaMarschallin
( hope this isn't de railing - going on about that ancient video!)

So glad you see what I see. As a young woman, I was terrible at reading interactions like that, and so was a regular victim of bullying. Experience helps dispel naivety.

I agree he is an inexperienced reporter trying his best to hold his own.

Something else I have noticed is he compliments the wardrobe on Suits and she simpers and then looks him straight in the eye and says something like "it's nice to be able to share a CLOSET" . Probably reading too much into it now.

But the bottom line is- the meanest of mean girls.

Words · 15/09/2024 15:09

Hi Sparkly

You may well be right, and probably are, but my thought was the current and senior employee may be still officially 'current' but not actually working for them actively, but serving out a contractual period at home.

I guess the issue with that is it casts doubt on other senior employees who may be still properly active and current.

Anyway. Time will tell !

Serenster · 15/09/2024 15:10

MummyJ12 · 15/09/2024 12:58

@Serenster do you happen to know anything of NDA restrictions relating to bullying in California?

Can’t help you here, sorry! It’s not just that it’s a different country to the UK, each state in the US has its own law.

Thing is the fact 9ne of them was a current employee yesterday doesn’t really invalidate the other 11. They all count. They all matter. They all deserve to be heard, not just have folks weirdly obsessing on this one.

MummyJ12 · 15/09/2024 15:33

I forgot to comment on that video. She’s always been a limelight hogger by the looks of that interview. It was very clever power play and she was obviously very well rehearsed and used to using her female charm/being flirtatious to manipulate members of the opposite sex. She was desperate to stay on camera and that poor guy had no clue on what to do. She absolutely outstayed her welcome and it’s a little cringey.

Can you link the video. I’ve looked back over the thread and can’t see it.

MummyJ12 · 15/09/2024 15:40

Serenster · 13/09/2024 21:38

I think Meghan is a bit of a chameleon who will change to fit what she thinks is needed at the time.

That really struck me if you look at this video - Meghan is at a mid-season promotional event for Suits and the reporter who is chatting with her asks her whether she thinks in real life she’s similar to her character Rachel Zane. Meghan replies that the fact that Rachel Zane cries all the time is a major difference as that’s not how she herself reacts to things. (I think this is the long version of the clip PP mentioned? - at the end Meghan “playfully” tells the reporter off for looking at people over her shoulder).

Fast forward a few years and Meghan it seems is suddenly often to be found by Harry sobbing inconsolably (bridesmaid dresses, after a trip to Wholefoods, before the Oprah interview, in a closet in Vancouver, several other instances filmed for Netflix etc etc not to mention tearfully noting no-one’s asked her if she’s okay in South Africa. What was it someone was saying about the damsel in distress?

Thanks to Serenster for this.

The one thing that strikes me there, is how much more happier, confident, relaxed, fun Megan looks in that video. She’s in her absolute element and loving it.

she doesn’t come across like that anymore.

if anything she now comes across as Brittle. Guarded. Calculating. False. Fake. Fearful. Out of her depth.

i think this marriage has damaged them both. Immeasurably

I agree unfortunately, there is a famous saying that in the event of nuclear war only two things will survive, cockroaches and Cher, I would now add Meghan Markle to that sadly, though very much hope I am proved wrong.

I agree too. Neither of them have been made happier . They are completely unsuited.

WatchOutMissMarpleIsAbout · 15/09/2024 16:54

If Trump can survive the stuff against him to become the president again (possibly) then unfortunately so can Meghan. I’d love for her to be cancelled but I think she’s a survivor through and through. Harry may retreat but I don’t think Meghan will.

Sparklywhiteteeth · 15/09/2024 16:55

It’s just so stark.

look at fun, confident, cheeky, relaxed. Absolutely in her element.

and Harry at that time.

one of the most popular royals. Loads of friends.

neither estranged from their families like today.

they have caused each other so so much damage,
