Hollywood Reporter - Meghan and Harry

Why Hollywood Keeps Quitting on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle (hollywoodreporter.com)

Why’d they all leave? What explains the churn? “Everyone’s terrified of Meghan,” claims a source close to the couple. “She belittles people, she doesn’t take advice. They’re both poor decision-makers, they change their minds frequently. Harry is a very, very charming person — no airs at all — but he’s very much an enabler. And she’s just terrible.”

Would you work for Harry and Meghan? Ex-employees say run away.

Did you feel the same way earlier this year when the most dreadful things were being said about Catherine ? NOTHING that Meghan has had said about her is as bad as that .

Oh here we go again!

I rest my case actually! This is exactly what I was talking about below!

It’s so endlessly tedious but, for the record, I think all personal attacks are nasty and unjustified and I don’t support anyone who stoops that low about either Catherine or Meghan.

He clearly says someone working for them currently at a senior level.

Wonder how they will manage the PR on this, Ellen had to grovel, publicly apologise and lost her job, James Corden had to publicly apologise and grovel.

There is no way they can continue their online anti-bullying crusade, the bottom has collapsed now with this disclosure.

A bit excruciating to remember Harry recently discussing about not knowing what your kids are experiencing in the next room on their tablet or phone, just as bad is going into work day in and day out, needing to earn a living, and being berated and bullied by your boss.

Edited

Yes it's current and not current staff who are his sources. I think they will be very paranoid about who is talking from their staff.

@Serenster Thank you! That's the one, although it's not as I remember it.

Not the murderous look I thought I recalled, but it's actually much worse- starts off ok but towards the end there is the systematic humiliation of the reporter in the guise of flirtation- snatching his cue cards and reading from them, showing them to camera and disparaging his handwriting, taking control of the interview by reading out his prepared questions, suggesting he had mis spelled her name, and laughingly implying with hand gestures they had made a connection. ( he's an ordinary looking, slightly overweight guy).

I feel huge sympathy for him. It was exceptionally cruel.

Definitely worth a watch.

No, there are republicans on here who are quite clearly not impressed by any member of the RF, including the Sussexes, which makes far more sense than claiming to be a republican yet still seeking to defend the Sussexes. The same Sussexes who live in an actual republic yet seem to want to use their titles for commercial gain, go on fake “royal” tours and seem to insist that their titles make them superior to other citizens and have styled their children as “prince and princess” (which other actual working royals have not done). It would seem that there are those who claim to be republicans who actually would miraculously become monarchists if the Sussexes, by some bizarre twist of fate, were to ascend to the throne 😆

There may well be republicans who think that way but I am not one of them thank you! We should all be allowed to express our individual perspectives on this. I am speaking up for fairness ovetall, not for one individual person in particular. I do not like pile ons.

Holy Fuck!

That’s bad!

Confirming that it’s someone who works for them currently who is high up!!! H&M must be apoplectic!!!!!!

Also confirming that the previous stories about her behaviour being manufactured by the palace aren’t true and from their research, confirms she behaves like this!!!!

Thanks for posting

Smirke · 14/09/2024 15:14

I think that its also telling that in THR interview the only person MM can source to put out to bat for her is a minor, irrelevant, paid employee - her facialist FFS!!!!

From 2021! I thought that too 😂

Is that when that interview with the facialist was done? Not in response to THR claims?

Yeh top right corner when she starts speaking, it says 2021!

Smirke · 14/09/2024 15:19

Could this be a precursor / veiled invitation to the opening up of some sort of group 'Me Too' type legal action?

Maybe where NDAs are not upheld as this is seen as a whistleblower situation.

12 employees is extensive.

Twistybranch · 14/09/2024 15:21

Yeh feels like it doesn’t it!

The fact that they’ve spoke to 12 people and it’s not coming out as, some say she’s tough others say she’s sweet- they all clearly have the same opinion, that’s she’s a nightmare

Having that many people, backs ups everyone else’s story. One person on their own isn’t enough to do anything….12 on the other hand!!!

Twistybranch · 14/09/2024 15:24

The fact that we know they won’t sue, even though this is really really bad, shows how screwed they are. They know she’s been caught out.

I actually think this is the worst thing written about them.

The other bullying claims were brushed off too easily as a palace conspiracy ….they can’t do this here!

Do you support the Sussexes behaving like Royals and using titles for their children then? Do you think they would say no if someone offered them the throne? What would you think of them if they were working royals? What about if they come back to be working royals? A republican would surely not find that acceptable

Think the term her lawyers came out with was that the RF bullying complaints and investigation were an 'orchestrated smear campaign'.

Ohh the irony and projection....

The RF were very smart to keep their powder dry on that one at the time.

I expect it will continue to do a lot of heavy lifting in any negotiations or threats down the line.

I wonder if this situation potentially gives PH 'an out' - he gets to slither back to Pa 'she made me do it...I was a puppet'.....

CathyorClaire · 14/09/2024 15:38

why does any poster who puts the opposite view get absolutely bashed on here?

I'm a republican and I don't find this to be the case so long as I provide links backing up my points. In fact there are very interesting and in the main respectful discussions to be had.

Wild speculation and baseless accusations might get a different response though.

Maybe that's what you've seen?

Words · 14/09/2024 15:41

:O that interview! Surely they are toast?
And the only defender is a beauty therapist filmed three years ago?
Agree something significant is brewing.

Sparklywhiteteeth · 14/09/2024 15:45

Yikes, Hollywood reporter is doubling down on it. They are very sure, and devastating for harry and Megan he’s said it makes it look like the line of it was manufactured in the uk is false as it’s now being said in the us about her too

and it’s a current senior employee whose also saying it.

game over really.

Exactly @CathyorClaire , you are consistent with your views and clearly state your position. You don’t fudge it for a preferred member of the family 😆

Twistybranch · 14/09/2024 15:47

Ooohhh can you imagine the tension at the family birthday party tomorrow! 🥳

BreadInCaptivity · 14/09/2024 15:48

This does feel like "a moment".

The fact that the HR is not just standing by the story but doubling down on its credibility and joining up the dots with previous narratives about the RF being leaky assessed as "probably isn't true" is pretty damning.

The irony here is that any PR spin M wants to come back with will presumably rely on the people she's alleged to be treating poorly.

Also worth considering that whilst NDA's may prevent bad press it doesn't stop people speaking nicely about you.

The silence here is pretty deafening so far for someone who espouses the values M claims to. There ought to be many, many people going on record to say how this reporting rubbish and how wonderful she is......yet nothing.....

Twistybranch · 14/09/2024 15:48

Also they will just be waking up to the video right about now …..that waffle batter will be getting a good beating!

Classic non denial denial language.

She never actually denied the bullying allegations, nor has she denied the claims in the HR article. For reasons which are obvious.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 14/09/2024 15:54

In my opinion, WME, Oprah, that literary agent "godmother" at the book store, Ted Sarandos ... are vultures circling something dying, hoping they will be first in line when it starts spilling its guts

That would certainly explain why Oprah, who's hidden the infamous interview and seemed to be long absent, turned up to the bookshop launch with Meghan - even though in doing it she interrupted her microphone moment

As for the "senior member of staff" who's supposedly talked to the Hollywood Reporter, god help ALL the staff now. I can't imagine the cloud of suspicion will make for a pleasant working environment, and at this rate they'll be left with even fewer prepared to work for them
