I know nothing about the rules regarding photos etc but what would happen if someone in the crowd (has there been a crowd or is it all behind closed doors?) snapped away with their phone - like wot we're allowed to do in the UK?

Catherine is very sporty, I never get the impression that Meghan is.

That normally happens and did in Nigeria, those pictures were the candid unvarnished pictures we got to see , but I'm not sure that will happen this time , will their circle of steel security allow the public the chance for such pictures?

I wonder if they have shot themselves in the foot. There is so little coverage and they are doing this for the coverage, let’s face it. They want positive headlines.. Add in no one really understands why they are “touring” Columbia, Nigeria was at least pretending to be due to invictus, it all seems another own goal, a damp squib.

i suspect they will be sorely disappointed by the lack of attention .

And that 'article' is embarrassingly fawning and unctuous.

Not every time. The outfit she arrived in and the one she wore to the school were both fine. The polka dot skirt was OK (but agree she should have matched the off-white or gone much darker) and this version of the Hertz dress is the nicest of the three we’ve seen her in.

In that photo the shirt does look off white so maybe it’s the different fabrics showing colour variation depending on the light. Personally I’m not a fan of shirts with rolled up sleeves, classic or not. They have to be perfect and so often on her the line is wrong where it’s slipping off her shoulders and pulling on the buttons, or as in this case, the sleeves are bunched up carelessly. A very fine knitted tee would have looked better, she’s worn them before and looked really good in them. She doesn’t naturally look stylish or classy so she needs very classic clothes to avoid looking cheap. IMHO.

I honestly think even if they had allowed mainstream media to join the trip, I doubt there would have been many takers. Were People magazine not interested in this trip? Why only a fashion magazine allowed accompany them?

Their last few outings were underwhelming in audience and viewing numbers, so I guess it's becoming clearer there is little to no general interest in them.

Colombians critical of the tour saying the 4 day trip is costing the country $2 million dollars just so the VP can fangirl Meghan, as there is no real purpose to the trip. Can it really be costing that much /.

The reference to Cauca and Choco children is a reference to the indigenous people who are being murdered, displaced and going hungry due to the drugs war and corruption by government official.

I imagine the figures weren't much different for the Nigeria holiday too, do these so called humanitarians not care about the cost to the normal citizens of these countries?

I’m guessing even if they did allow MSM. it must be really expensive to send one of your photographers/ reporters(from magazine/papers) - flights, accommodation. Cost of security must be insane! And ultimately it’s not worth it

I can't believe they have gone straight from pronouncing on the dangers of children having an online presence and how they protect their own children from all that - to using random Colombian children for photos that they can sell for people to use online. I mean, can they really be too thick to see the hypocrisy or don't they care?
