German documentary about Meghan

I have seen several newspapers referring to this German documentary. It's the first I've heard of it.

Surprisingly some people do romanticise Wallis and Edward. Does no one remember Madonna’s W.E which is about a girl who is obsessed with their story. To be fair it’s a shit film but Andrea Riseborough was an amazing Wallis.

That was an excellent film, and very sympathetic to Wallis.

Wallis Simpson was a very interesting and ambitious person, who rose in society because of marriages. She was an avowed segregationalist, an antisemite and a Nazi sympathiser. She was also a close personal friend of Ribbentrop at the same time as she was with Edward, which set alarm bells ringing at no10.
Why anyone would want to identify with her is baffling. However, who knows if that's the case or indeed what the heck is going on.

I know her online profiles say 5’6” but I don’t think Meghan is any taller than 5’4”.

I agree but goodness knows how some people perceive her given the warped lenses through which, say, the institution of the RF is viewed.
For example, the ideas that it's some sort of reality television programme, where a less popular member must step aside for a more popular one, or that Princess of Wales was Diana's title and no-one else - before or since - has had or should have it.
There's an astonishing amount of ignorance so, quite possibly, Wallis is seen by some as a part of a wonderful love story and a victim of the British establishment.
In which case, Meghan may wish to draw parallels.

Well I can only go by what she says. It’s difficult to tell in photos when high heels are involved 😆And as pp said, Wallis appeared to be tall but this was because she was next to a relatively short Edward viii

Edward was shorter than 5’7” . Meghan, too, is not 5’6”. Does everybody slap on a couple of inches to their “official” height?!

Apparently, Meghan is 5’6” and Walllis was only 5’2”. I’m not sure why people seem to think that Meghan is short. She is well above average for a woman. Maybe it’s because she is compared to Catherine who is 5’8” 🤷‍♀️

I'd always assumed she was shorter than me (5'7") by 2 or 3 inches based on the engagement photos.
Harry's height is given as either 6'1" or 6'2" and she looked shorter than I would have expected, given the heels she was wearing, than if it had been a picture of me, in similar shoes, standing next to my 6'2" cousin, for example.

Funnily enough, I just Googled "Harry height" to check I wasn't misremembering and most excerpts that popped up said 6'1". Harry himself has said he's 6'2" and some excerpts do quote 6'2" often followed by pointing out that William is 6'3" but rush to say it's hardly noticeable. The Mail just says they're both "well above" 6 feet tall, which makes them sound more of Richard Osman proportions.

You can only go by what she says - I have seen one of her online profiles calling her a supermodel! 🤣 I’ll have you know <hoiking up my judgy pants> I’ve done a very scientific examination looking at photos of her and Haz when she’s in flats, measuring my own face to collar bone measurements and looking at old photos of me (shortarse and same body shape as M) and my 6’2” uni boyfriend of 30 years ago. 5’4” tops. I will die on this hill! 🤣

I think that must be the case. As pp have said, Meghan seems to be extraordinarily unaware of British history, and not particularly well read. It's just a shallow response.

At Legends of Aviation. John Travolta is said online to be 6’1/2” - 6’2”. Jeff Besos is 5’7”. Lauren Sanchez anything from 5’2” - 5’6” on online profiles. Guess who’s wearing high heels? I am saying everyone except Travolta 🤣

Yes I saw a photo showing that . He is still tall BUT not as tall as William . So unfair < stamps foot>

@LaMarschallin Fred Astaire’s fragile ego had to be similarly managed wrt his taller co-stars like Cyd Charisse and Rita Hayworth.

I do it. If you hook them into your bra it is a really secure place to carry them. I might be influenced by young GC who both like nothing more than pulling my glasses/sunglasses off my face or head so tucked into my bra is my safe option.

I don’t think we can take anyone’s height as true, I’ve just googled and Meghan’s height ranges from 5ft 4 to 5ft 7 and Catherine’s from 5ft 7 up to 5ft 11! It’s all just guesswork.

Personally I wouldn’t put her at anymore that 5ft 4 looking at pictures of her and Harry.

I wonder what H+M are aiming for, what they hope to achieve and what they hope their life will be like in 5 or 10 years. They don't seem to have much in the way of income streams at the moment so presumably that is the main priority. I guess the QM's money will keep the wolf from the door for a while, if Anne can be persuaded to release it 😂

The cost of their McMansion must be eye watering, the property tax alone is over a £100k per year, how much must it cost to maintain the acreage, formal gardens, tennis courts, pools, general maintenance of the house and all the staff plus utilities and that’s before any upgrades to the house they may have done.
