Catherine regularly had 'slut' shouted at her by paparazzi in an attempt to get a response. She had her phone hacked way in excess of anything Harry experienced. She was reduced to tears in the street by paparazzi.

And now she has the Sussex Squad and their bile to contend with, and the horrendous press early on in year while she was quite obviously seriously unwell.

So no, it wasn't just Diana and Camilla.

I do find reading words that aren’t there problematic.

There are times when the actual words are important.

It is always a pain in the hoop when words are attributed to folk that were never said.

Words are important. Reading them properly is important.

Actions are also important.

And this is what I think of them thar invisible words. An action fond of.

The wording being used to defend Harry receiving this award, with the snide comments aimed at MT and all the blame for any negativity being aimed toward the "British media" is all very familiar. In fact it's eerie how similar it is to that being posted by the SS. Pure coincidence I'm sure.

Whether Harry accepts this award or not, it is forever tainted for him and Invictus, he will be remembered for the controversy surrounding it, a worthwhile award which he didn't deserve, suspicions he paid for it, and which caused a huge amount of backlash, It has resurrected unsavoury things from his past and brought them to a new audience.

There is no prestige attached to him receiving and accepting this award, it's the opposite, it highlights how unpopular and scorned he is.

harry supporters will see this as a win, but a bigger win and a PR success would have been the award to Invictus, it would have still been good publicity, even better if leaked that it was Harry’s idea. Himself, Invictus CEO and athletes on the stage and Harry as the humble Prince who dimmed his light so others could shine. I’d hazard a guess this was suggested, they pay a fortune in PR. Unfortunately anything to dampen that Harry has been awarded such as trying to share the attention will be seen as PR now even if it was Harry intent.

It's essential, though, isn't it? He needs "awards", the clicks and the headlines. He's got to keep these things going. Otherwise, what is he?

I read this too. Harry got the medal because he has a high profile and is a royal. That's not what the medal is for. The folk presenting it should be ashamed of themselves IMHO.

If Harry accepts the award, I hope he looks at it every day and is reminded of Pat Tillman, a man who was everything Harry isn't.

Ripple of Hope people must have been mightily unamused when he told Tom Bradby that the BRF was not racist, he and Meghan never said they were; and, further, Susan Hussey was not a racist either. The Ripple of Hope people got their award tarnished, deservedly so.

Who would be desperate enough these days to accept an Archewell- sponsored award?
