Mary Tillman says " There are recipients far more fitting. He publicly disrespected his family , ran away from service to his country. He is unworthy of this award"

She feels there are recipients far more fitting.

I think she speaks for many.

@Thedom

Sadly it does look suspiciously like that.

And also what @hoteltango said…

Apparently being the recipient of national or international awards can help in getting a permanent visa.

Handy.

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 02/07/2024 13:49

I've seen discussion that it is meant to help with the "genius" visa category. I'm not convinced. Considering they didn't allow multi award winning singer Amy Winehouse to enter the country, then the standard being applied would need to be looked at carefully. And, in any event, the case being brought against DHL is for freedom of information about how Harry entered and remained in the US in the first place, and whether he is currently living and working illegally, not about how he might be given leave to remain going forward (although the pretzel twisting that will be done to achieve this will be equally entertaining).

TallestSally · 02/07/2024 13:53

I don’t know if everything is getting thrown to the board to see if it sticks. 🤷🏽‍♀️

CoffeeCantata · 02/07/2024 13:54

For anyone who's never ventured a peep at Celebitchy, it's a real education but sadly I'm sure it's at the very mild end of the Sussex Squad's activities.

At the moment they're quite sure that either the DM made up the objection raised by Mrs Tillman, or asserting (with no evidence whatsoever) that she was bribed to say what she said. Then they've moved on to be rude about her and basically to tell her to keep her nose out of it. One of them then rubbished Pat Tillman's reputation, implying that he'd given up his NFL role to 'go and kill brown people', and therefore (having proved he's a racist), his sad fate was probably deserved.

If it wasn't so revolting, it would be a fascinating study in mass hysteria/fantasy/myth creation/brainwashiing to see how these people move from reading a news report* to constructing their own truth (oh yes, very much their own truth!) which then becomes irrefutable fact to them. They tolerate absolutely NO dissenting views - any slight microscopic hint of disloyalty to H or M, or just even-handedness, provokes a really vicious backlash. It's a real hive mind - and quite terrifying. But I realise it's probably mild in comparison to what goes on on X, which I'm not on, and wouldn't dare to look at!

All the quoted articles are 'interpreted' and summarised by someone called Kaiser (well-named) and one contributor said 'I hope none of us are going to read these articles (referring to links in posts). We should wait for Kaiser to summarise them for us'. My God - talk about willing to be brainwashed and have all your critical faculties surgically removed.

Yuk. I wonder who these people are....

How rich that Harry's supporters have no problem with him perseverating over his dead mother, but condemn Mary Tillman for talking about her son.

It really is like a form of religious fundamentalism. You will not allow your beliefs to be shaken by any empirical evidence whatsoever, and anyone who doesn't agree with 100% of the accepted 'truth' is persecuted unto death!

Sean Lennon showed that any opinion that is negative will immediately bring on abuse. Its a clever ploy, basically intimidation and a warning to others.

You have a way with words coffeecantata

Celebitchy will forever be ‘celeb pidgey’ to me though.

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 02/07/2024 14:05

Ugh, @CoffeeCantata that site sounds like a cult. And revolting remarks about Pat Tillman and why he signed up. He was resolutely anti the war in Afghanistan. But he was a patriot and he was no hypocrite who was going to criticise from the sidelines. And they say this filth in defense of Harry the documented racist who described his kill count as chess pieces.

Highlighting this

basically intimidation it’s not even basic. It’s real intimidation.

Shame on them and on Harry and Meghan for their silence and complicity.

IsoldeWagner · 02/07/2024 15:18

Why are Harry and Meghan silent on this?
They criticism anyone who they believed to be silent about them!

Aha. There we are.

IsoldeWagner · 02/07/2024 15:21

I am also laughing at Harry being eligible for any visa with the word "genius" in the title 😁

TicTacToes · 02/07/2024 12:57

I’d include Meghan and Harry on this programme. The hate online is next level.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/articles/3QcD9W13Dr0bxmt4CMWVkGk/7-stars-who-have-personal-experiences-of-online-bullying

And you think all the other royal wives haven’t been bullied? It’s what the tabloids do.
Meghan and Harry only have themselves to blame for their misfortunes.

No comparison, except for Diana and Camilla.

Umm do you not recall the events of the past few months ? The accusations about Catherine ?
Do you not remember her being chased along streets by paps ? Meghan didn’t have that ( much as she would have loved it!)?

CoffeeCantata · 02/07/2024 15:43

@TallestSally 😀

Except I am rather fond of pigeons!! But it would certainly put them in their place.

.Yes - she would! Do you remember when Meghan left KP and walked down Kensington High Street in a Barbour jacket and wellies (high summer in London, I think) carrying a bag with come kind of virtue-signalling message like 'Saving the World with Shopping', or similar) and basically hung around just hoping to be papped. Ridiculous! Talk about 'try hard'.

Let’s not forget that Netflix could not come up with a shred of credible evidence of bullying of MM, to the extent that they used footage of Katie Price’s court case and a Harry Potter premier to imply paparazzi interest that was non existent; made up headlines that had to be removed for British audiences and libel laws; and used a discredited “expert” and his discredited report on online bullying in the form of Christopher Bouzy, a man who is demonstrably participating in the online harassment of Princess Catherine and an active participant in the Sussex Squad. Truth is not on their side.

FloofPaws · 02/07/2024 15:52

@TicTacToes - Meghan was making up some of the pap stuff #2 hour high speed chase NYC; being 'chased' by a moped; paparazzi/ press crowds that were at different events ... she just doesn't like the papers finding dirt and publishing it - she wants all her stories in 'their version of stories' talk about Couple Grift Fairytales ... thinks she's the princess and handsome prince is Harry... except it's more she's the wicked witch and he's the ugly frog with no one to kiss him

She walked past the Daily Mail offices and staff wondered why she was dressed like that . And then entered KP by the public entrance rather than the discreet private one.

MummyJ12 · 02/07/2024 16:02

Compare that to Catherine getting dangerously hounded when she was dating William and being upskirted.

TinklySnail · 02/07/2024 16:05

@PrincessMee So being called the Duchess of pork is acceptable?

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 02/07/2024 16:05

And Catherine experienced phone hacking far in excess of anything Harry can prove he suffered

That was so funny! Then pretending people in the supermarket were actually chasing her down the street!
Nobody chased her. It was yet another lie.

Edited

Point out where someone said that.

Oh that's right, they didn't. They did say that the tabloids hounded all royal wives and you've done what people with no actual point to make usually do and twist people's words from 'tabloids hounded all royal wives' to a passive aggressive ''So that's OK, is it?' It's not a logical leap, it's not even an illogical leap. It's nonsense.
