@Uricon2 "I don't think the "fondest love" is a sign somethings really wrong, just a different style coming in.

I don't either!! Blimey. At a risk of being deleted again-all I was doing was wondering if that sort of informality was a new thing.

I think you're right and it is a bit more demonstrative than we're used to. I think Charles is actually quite emotional, I remember the tears streaming down his face when he followed Philip's coffin at the funeral.

It’s been a very tough year for Charles with his own illness, general Harry worry and his much loved DiL becoming so unwell. Andrew is always a background nuisance. And I suspect that his sister has been very supportive. He must have been worried about her.

I am no royalist but I am really sorry about the tough time they’ve had since the new year. Hopefully brighter times are imminent for them.

Anne has been a stalwart, she was right by his side at much of the funeral.
Poor Charles, what a time he's having.

To quote the lady herself, "not bloody likely!"

"Looking at this through the lens of equity, humanity and service, we can say that throughout all of this, no-one has asked if we're alright, or how the jam is selling"

Netflix Part 7: 👑
"We heard that Harry's Pa was ill, also Kate, then his Aunt had a head injury. We just want to say that none of them was full of praise for our heartwarming and extraordinary royal tour of Nigeria. They did not take time to go on tv to praise us. If you want to construe this as hurtful behaviour through the prism of not being Me, then you would be right". 👑

DelectableMe · 25/06/2024 19:35

From the desk of Prince Harry, Very Royal Duke Indeed: Dear Aunt Anne, rubbing Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour cream on the injury should reduce the throbbing.

I think the nurses looking after Anne will be having an interesting time.
Neuro observations include asking questions like "what is your name" or "where are you" to assess level of confusion.
I imagine Anne is highly likely to give the sort of answer an elderly patient gave me recently lwhen I asked her what she wanted to be called:
" MY NAME...Obviously 🙄"

It could be very entertaining watching her reply to repeated questions about who she is or what her name is. 😂

I have no idea if she really said it or if the press were being scurrilous but I do recall a report from her eventing days (when it must have been very tiresome having press hanging around, lurking among the horse boxes and springing out cameras at the ready - no wonder she once told them to "Naff off"). Anyway the one I remember is a member of the press calling out to her "look this way love" and she reportedly replied "I am not your love, I am your Royal Highness".

DelectableMe · 25/06/2024 19:56

@ShamedBySiri I have no idea why you think Anne would be rude or unpleasant to medical staff who are trying to help her.
In all these years there's been nothing about personal rudeness to those working for her, or dealing with her in any other way.
She's intelligent enough to cooperate with nursing staff, I am sure.

HadMeABlast · 25/06/2024 20:10

Heard it all now. What a presumptuous nasty thing to write.

Siri didn’t shame ye.

Ye’ve shamed yersel.

DelectableMe · 25/06/2024 20:15

I agree, @HadMeABlast . Very unkind.

Now why does that make me heave ? 🤮 it makes me think of scenes from Hieronymous Bosch that are too indecent for here 😂

She did say "naff off" to a photographer.
