I agree, it's very sad.
I'm sure it was a difficult adjustment for Meghan and she did get a hard time from the press (like a lot of royal women did) , she was welcomed by the family though and many people were happy that she and Harry were getting married. I'm trying to think when the tide started turning, obviously the Oprah interview but before they left the UK , was it when she told wotisname that no one had asked if she was ok when they went to Africa ?

I’m not convinced she ever tried to adjust. Hasn’t it been said that they were planning their exit from as early as 2018 when they were already talking to Netflix ? Harry wanted out and Meghan had no intention of staying imo

eta I suppose that means that them “hitting the ground running” as royals was another potential porky 🤷‍♀️

I think the tide was turning before Africa. I didn't/don't read a daily paper but I gleaned from one at a friend's house that all was not well with the brothers and that would be the summer - so 2019 I think. By then there were mutterings about the treatment of servants and the tiara of course and the what M wants M gets. I know tiaragate had happened before the wedding but I think it got more airing later on.

Fucking hell, that commentary is bloody horrible for someone's wedding day.

"Why don't the public like William?"
"Diana said Harry would make a better King"
"But Harry is just so fun... and so naughty" said in a breathy voice

William looks very comfortable, even though his hair got a bit messed up by his hat. Harry looks sweaty and uncomfortable. Who was out on the lash the night before? If it was William, that man looks good with a hangover.

Oh, I had the sound off.

I haven't read it. In every quote I have seen Harry calls him Willy, when I remember very clearly that Diana called him Wills. I can't help thinking that Harry is being particularly juvenile. His resentment of William seems pretty clear.

I 100% think he is trying to align him with being a penis. Never heard anyone before refer to William as Willy.

Harry is spiteful and nasty and I don’t blame his dad for not wanting to see him

Petty, silly things - William going bald, losing his looks. Harry getting a smaller portion of food, the smaller bedroom.
The smaller bedroom - in a castle or palace!
Just very self absorbed.

Also - that’s the rules!!

As kids get older they spend more time int heir room and need more space. When they leave home the younger kids can have their room.

Also, @YaMuvva - I'm pretty much inclined to think that the accommodation in whatever castle or palace they were living in at the time was fairly high end!
He has no idea.

How strange to come on to a thread you apparently have had no previous involvement in and then monitor and comment how often the OP posts. On the last thread their was a poster who was counting how many times @YaMuvva posted as well, it seems to be a popular pastime for some, to coin a much loved, and well used phrase on these threads, why do you care?

YaMuvva · 31/05/2024 21:21

Not clicking on the maid video, it sounds too unverified gossip and as a PP said hey would such a prominent bean spiller go to a random YouTuber and not a tabloid

William looks great! So happy.
Imagine saying those things about your own brother on his wedding day.

It’s revolting.
even if it WAS true - what kind of person doesn’t think “actually that’s a pretty sacred day and my nieces and nephews might read this one day so I’ll leave it out”.

OP posts:
DelectableMe · 31/05/2024 21:28

True, @YaMuvva , but all he seemed to think was "saying these things will get me a lot of money and publicity"

YaMuvva · 31/05/2024 21:30

You know after all the discussion on this thread and the last, I feel like I’ve been exposed to a truly bitter and nasty side of Harry and to some extent, Meghan. Looking at this statement they put out following Kate’s illness, in the context of all the clear nastiness - it feels VERY and almost…angry?

If your SIL was diagnosed with cancer is that what you’d say?

We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace

Wobbly willy! At least he stayed sober that time, recently when he was really well and truly hung over dropping medals on the floor at that medal ceremony, he wasn't even hung over he was clearly 2 sheets to the wind!🤭

Abouttimeforanamechange · 31/05/2024 21:52

Looking at this statement they put out following Kate’s illness...

Why did they need to put out any statement? No other member of the family found it necessary. It just drew attention to them, when it wasn't about them.

YaMuvva · 31/05/2024 21:53

DON’T feed the hater people. Do not bite. It’s wants us to bite

i didn’t say they have to. But they did and it was very clipped and cold. Ask yourself why

Lol at the elaborate lies just to cover the fact you bought the book and read it from cover to cover, probably one of the people who queued at the crack of dawn to be the first in line to buy, what's confusing me is why come up with such an elaborate story about being handed it by cousins aunts sisters neighbour. Embarrassing! Anyway although I'm a huge fan I'm yet to buy the book, I would have offered you a pound for your copy but I'm sure you dont want to part with it!

StartupRepair · 31/05/2024 22:18

It was nasty to refer to her as Kate. She uses Catherine for anything public facing and they know that.

StartupRepair · 31/05/2024 22:19

Not going to watch the video - it looks like it is from the swamp. I'm more interested in H and Ms own words and the gaps around them.
