Yes, felt deliberately disrespectful. I've seen it said that they were paid by the magazine for their statement, is that right? Seems horrific if true.

I think a true fan would have read the book. Shouldn’t you be the one with the feelings here? It’s a massive miss and a complete lack of support.

Anyhow as I've said several times I really do like H an M but it astounds me the way you guys can't freeze them out since you hate them so much, but you don't realise that you're making them more popular and more loved.

Oh, come now. Spare was released in January of 2023. If Harry and Meghan were important to you, you’d read it.

I think there is more chance of H getting frenzied with 8 hr cream in an Estee advert than anything happening with ARO.

It does seem really odd to have such a delay between announcing and launching. We still don't really know what it's all about, except for jam.

Remind me what the ARO jam thing is?

I make jam and curd. Love it. Do I need an instagram to promote it? I mean you need an awful lot of fruit to make even a small amount. Do they grow that much?

Meghan has apparently made her own strawberry jam, only 50 jars, and has sent them to 50 of her famous friends. They are labelled “2 of 50” “9 of 50” etc and are a launch of America Riviera Orchard products.

The idea was to get her 50 friends to pose on social media with “I got jar number 34!” I think about 8 people have done that so far. One of whom used the opportunity to flog her range of pans. Which is VERY Hollywood - everything is done for self promotion and never, ever for good.

I still can't get over how bad the brand name is. Especially when strawberries don't grow in orchards 🤣 And that bizarre promo video of her standing around in a ball gown.

Send me some and I’ll post it on here with a photo of my cat eating it. Cause I’m watchin my weight and only eat clean. (Not!!)

Guys I’d be so grateful! That would be amazing. I don’t really understand it myself. Anyone with an inclination, fruit and sugar and some cutesy packaging can make jam. Not that I’m disparaging some of the great companies that make and sale condiments, jams, curds and things. But she’s hardly that. And you’d need an excellent deal to buy surplus fruit from companies.

There may be a bit more on Instagram- including the lucky jam recipients tagging ARO. Weirdest was Chrissy Teigen and her husband who put jam on bread with fried bacon and something creamy (cheese, mayo, cream?! Not sure!) and then fried the whole sandwich in the bacon fat. 🤢 Definitely not the best ad for a JAM.

Surely they grow the fruit themselves using their bare hands to massage in 8 Hr cream into each and every leaf as Meg and her seals serenade the strawberries before harvesting them in moonlight specially imported from Provence?

I didn’t really get why it was strawberry jam. To me that’s a bit like a pauper’s food (sorry jam fans!)
