Grandparents on the Markle side lived there for a few years. I have a great great grandfather who worked in Argentina for a bit but I have NO Argentinian ancestry.

I think that If M spent some time as a normal, non-celebrity in Nigeria, she would have a very enlightening experience. Especially since she is from California. I know I am biased, but in my experience, we New Yorkers are tougher than people from the West Coast.

I don’t think Meghan has any intention of living anywhere other than California. She didn’t want to stay in the UK. They could have lived very comfortably and anonymously in any number of places other than California but that is where she wants to be

She has ancestors who were born in Malta - which doesn't make her of Maltese descent, any more than having ancestors who were born in a stable would make her a horse.

I have two uncles who were born in what is now Pakistan (DGPs were out there in the 1930s). My cousins don't claim Pakistani heritage on the basis of that.

Isn’t he just, for starters he’s rejected his family, his heritage, his country in the most appalling way so why would he want recognition from the institution he so despises? Yet he is so clearly desperate for approval from that very institution it’s embarrassing and secondly, why would the institution praise a faux royal tour that’s nothing to do with them at all particularly when some of the hosts were wanted men in America, if anything they would distance themselves completely from it. Perhaps he thought that his offer to chip in with royal duties needed to be demonstrated practically. Now it's 'OMG! my family doesn't appreciate what I did in Nigeria!' and the RF are thinking 'That's because we didn't ask (or want) you to do it, numbnut.'

Harry looked relaxed and happy during his solo UK visit to Scotty's Little Soldiers and his face lights up when he's off the leash with Invictus/army veterans - it's almost as though her presence inhibits him and he reverts to her plus one. I think he's living a lie.

It'll be awful, he'll unravel and I think that is why his family aren't retaliating publicly as they know they'll be needed to help him pick up the pieces. His wife will go full on poor me victim mode and live off the whole sorry circus earning trillions in jam and cooking when single shows. The book will be called Finding Freedom vol 2 or He's A Spare Again.

There will be lots about how he had anger management problems, suffered from depression, left her doing all the parenting .She will paint herself as a Saint and a Sufferer. Doria will go on talk shows with her to discuss how the two of them brought up the children while Harry lay in bed . A lot about how she was the driving force behind all their most successful projects and he juggled outside whilst she worked. Then she’ll have her own talk show for the
aggrieved partner in messy divorce cases.

Yes, sometimes they look less than loved-up, but that's pretty normal after 6 years of marriage.

They have 2 small DC, and Harry before the wedding talked several times of how much he longed for fatherhood.

Even though it's easy to see both how many mis-steps they have made in their public/working lives and also just how inaccurate their accounts can be (in books, interviews and documentaries); I very much hope that behind closed doors there is an enduring family unit

I really hope that they are happy and in love enough not to split up. It would be very sad especially for their children (although I am not saying that people should stay together just because they have children) I do think that he is a lot more in love with her than she is with him. And she knows it. He’s absolutely besotted and obsessed with her, even though he can’t see that at times it can be toxic. He is terrified of losing her. She knows this too.
I agree that I think his family are holding back because they know of his fragile mental health. Unfortunately, she seems to feed his paranoia as we’ve seen.

Yes we all hope that, for his sake tbh. Realistically we have seen how the pair of them are very self centred, delusional and negative and you would think that will have an effect sooner or later. I'm not wishing it on them obviously.

Not for one moment do I want a family to split up but so I hope it does not happen. But there does seem to be a little where Meghan needs Harry for their earning more than he needs her. & I do think it looks like she has him wrapped round her little finger ( my DH put it in more industrial terms ) . But it would be nice to think they are genuinely a couple and equal. I do think it looks like she has ostracised him from family though. ( This may very well NOT be true - just it looks a wee bit like it - But who knows - he might be living his best life. & if he is perhaps look a bit more cheerful abut it 😊 )

She is in a position of total power over him, alienated from his family, his friends, his country, she holds all the cards and the two biggest ones are his children, I don’t think he would ever emotionally recover if she decided to move on from him, it would be an absolute train wreck which would make the War of the Wales’s look like a Mills and Boon novel, she would come out of it smelling of roses, Harry I honestly dread to think.

The video of them at the airport returning from Nigeria gave me the impression that these are two people who are very much not in love and who fake it when they know the cameras are rolling.

After a flight I’d be barely talking to anyone either so I don’t really see anything in them returning pictures. If they did split which I really hope is not the case as I’m fearful for Harry. The more vocal and viscous members of the Sussex squad are firmly behind Meghan they’d make mincemeat of him. He doesn’t do well with criticism
