Part 6 of positive threads, delving into all things Meghan and Harry. Whether it’s the causes they support, their business initiatives, or Meghan’s fashion choices (Harry’s too, on occasion 😉), there’s plenty to discuss Just a pro-tip - that there may be use of MLE terms and discussions of dupes - you might want to exit stage left if these things offend. This is a relatively drama free zone - let’s keep things light! Clinking a glass of lemonade 🥂 to @queentim for the original inspiration.

New necklace for the Christmas lists !

What the….???

MrsLeonFarrell · 30/07/2024 21:38

Overly long trousers do seem to be a thing, lots of celebrities wear them like that. I wonder if it's meant to be a sign of wealth, that you can wear pale colours and drag them in the dirt?

New necklace for the Christmas lists !

They look like small brown shoes!

PrettyFlyforaMaiTai · 30/07/2024 22:11

The original necklace is Cartier and is either £12,000 or £24,000 based on the length!

I do think that photo is very mean spirited.

It would make so much sense if the clothes were loaned by the designers and that they were sample sizes. It would also explain why a lot of her clothes are ill fitted. I have heard this before.
I really don’t know why she doesn’t just buy her clothes and have them properly fitted. If she makes clothes look good and sales increase then designers will naturally want to dress her eventually. That’s when the offers will come in. So it’s very short sighted.
Her clothes magically seem to fit better when they have been bought on expenses for example in Germany and Canada (when they were there for Invictus on Invictus money.)

TemuRoyal · 02/08/2024 21:16

I like her beanie hats.

Are you saying Invictus paid for her clothes? Why?? 🫣

MummyJ12 · 03/08/2024 09:31

The truth is @Nosummerontheagenda that no one knows where the money comes from for her ‘Invictus’ wardrobe. The Invictus accounts submitted are too vague and there’s no transparency as to where the money goes. It’s all under the umbrella of “charitable activities”. (Of which has gone up exponentially in the past few years funnily enough).
We do know that her Invictus appearances are the only time that she will wear the big designers and spend the big money. Such as Hermes in Canada. (A coat that cost £3000). She also wore Max Mara, Burberry and Calvin Klein.
The rest of the time she will mainly wear lesser known, smaller designers. Her favourites to merch are St Agni and Heidi Merrick. (See article above on why they don’t tend to fit).
Tomorrow is an exception. She is wearing a mauve Ralph Lauren outfit, shirt and trouser combo for the interview on the morning show.
We know they don’t like to spend their own money (like a lot of people). We also know that they don’t (and can’t afford to) do anything for free so yes, it can only be assumed that her Invictus wardrobe is paid for and probably by Invictus money. Although this can’t be proven categorically.

We went and had a nose at their road when we visited LA recently. It’s was a lovely area.

It’s been a tough couple of weeks - a real case point on the effects of persistent negative messaging by the media and others in positions of power.

Anyway - Harry and Meghan promoted Archewell’s support of The Parents Network to support parents of children affected by online bullying.

The Archewell Foundation Parents’ Network

Uniting parents and caregivers, fighting for social media platforms to be made safer by design.

Or possibly a case point of two self-obsessed and self-serving individuals getting called out.

BemusedAmerican · 10/08/2024 12:01

I just hope they consulted competent legal council. If some parent follows advice from that forum and their child commits suicide, they will be slapped with a lawsuit. People sue at the drop of a dime here in the US.

The same competent legal counsel who sorted out ARO's intellectual property before its launch? Oh, hang on....

This is an important fact that should not be ignored. People always want someone to blame and all reason goes out of the window in many cases. The USA is litigious in general and this area is no exception.

A couple of tough weeks for who?

HarryHarry and Meghan are in Colombia! They started their visit in Bogotá, where they were welcomed by their host Vice President Francia Márquez and her husband. They had cheese bread (a mild obsession for me since I had some at Las Iguanas several years ago and it’s really hard to make authentically in the UK due to a lack of tapioca flour).

I really liked Meghan’s suit - it’s nice to see her in a bold colour though I’m not a fan of peplum and I think that the suit could’ve done without it. Harry looked really polished but casual in his suit - I think he would have benefitted from a more tailored fit to his jacket but all in all a good look.
