I didn’t see a new thread so wanted to start one. I’d really appreciate if everyone keeps this focused on Meghan-related fashion and lifestyle. I know I can’t expect only positive posts but let’s not get personal about Meghan or one another. 🙏

That double bump wrapping pose.🙄We all did the hand on the bump, its hard not to, but I think she is the only person I have seen coil both their arms around the bump in that manner.

I know we're not supposed to mention the bump wrapping, but I too haven't seen anyone wrapping two arms, one above and one below her bump. The most noticeable time was when she wore the one-shouldered black dress at the Fashion Awards.
I supported my bump from underneath when I was pregnant, but draping an arm over the top did look awkward and stagey to me. Maybe it felt comfortable to her.

Edited because my original post made it sound like she has four arms Blush

Why are we not supposed to mention it? Who says?

Do you remember this dress ? It was one of the first events she did after Covid, I think. She looked absolutely stunning and it was totally appropriate for the event.

I don't understand why things have gone downhill, wonder if her friend was still styling her then.

She has great shoulders, so I guess wants to show them off. The green dress looks like something I might wear - ie it covers a multitude of lumps and bumps, which Meghan does not have.

DelectableMe · 19/05/2024 16:04

I can understand that she wants to wear more casual clothing than when she was an official UK royal, but her recent choices have not been good. The fit is terrible and they look crumpled.

Andylion · 19/05/2024 16:55

I think the double hold of the bump is an IG thing.

MaturingCheeseball · 19/05/2024 17:47

Demi Moore started off that bump thing. It was shocking at the time Shock

Tbf, Demi Moore was naked on the cover of a magazine!

Yes, the hands were a strategic cover up, not double bump cradling!

I do t think I’ve ever seen that one. Which forum was this?

I find the skimpy clothing inappropriate for occasions where there is supposed to be a serious conversation - it detracts from the focus of ideas and conversation, and purposeful work instead of external appearance. In every photo the women around her are dressed significantly differently.

But I am a different generation! So it probably sends different signals to me, it comes across as very superficial - a woman's value lies with having the 'right' body and their brain is irrelevant. Which I fundamentally disagree with!

Let's face it, we know nothing about the content of her 'women in leadership' discussion. I don't think she has released any content? We know a great deal about her body shape and clothing choices.

It is a bit sad in this day and age. But she seems to be playing into it, with numerous changes of clothes.

Something called the Women's Fund of Indiana.

There wasn’t much coverage in the US of the Nigeria trip but what I saw was mainly about the things Meghan wore. It seems to be a focus for her, too so presumably she will be pleased with the attention it garners.

Any publicity is good publicity for some people.

I don’t think it’s a generational thing. I think most people would think that she had not picked appropriate clothing for the situations she was in. And it’s not like she’s a teenager who might just want to dress in fashionable or skimpy clothing. She should know how to look professional and she didn’t. Why would anyone think a nearly backless, fleshy coloured, over long evening dress was the thing to wear to visit a school for instance?

That annoys me. I expect they are told to pose that way. Lots of articles about "X cradling their bump". Nobody needs to cradle their bump. The baby won't escape.

That to me sadly suggests he doesn’t know ‘her favourite’ at all.

Actually that hadn't occurred to me but you could well be right.
I kind of assumed he'd have done the sort of thing DH did before proposing and (thinking he was being very subtle) fish around about my tastes.
Why on earth he'd suddenly plump for the idea of yellow gold - if he had no reason for thinking it was her favorite - heaven knows.

Meghan had white gold rings when she was married to Trevor.

JADS · 20/05/2024 16:42

I think Meghan looks great in navy blue. Maybe it's just me, but I wonder why she doesn't wear it more often.

That and the dark green seem to really suit her. I like her green dress posted earlier. It looked more appropriate.

Harry is not a sharp dresser and always looks a bit of a mess.

JaneJeffer · 20/05/2024 16:48

I think so too @JADS. The navy outfit she wore to Eugenie's wedding was lovely on her and the navy dress she wore to the polo but she seems to wear a lot of colours that don't suit her at all!

JaneJeffer · 20/05/2024 16:55

Another couple of occasions where she looked lovely in navy. Shame Harry can't wear his uniform, he looks so much smarter in it!

These are both really sweet photos. She looks beautiful!

Love that navy outfit

JADS · 20/05/2024 17:44

The second navy blue dress and beige shoes are perfectly coordinated with Harry's outfit! That's a lovely dress and a good length on her. The waist looks a bit odd, but that could be the photo or maybe she was pregnant. Stunning!

That's from 2018. She looks absolutely lovely there. So pretty, and hair and makeup spot on. 👌

PrincessForPay · 20/05/2024 19:52

She looks fabulous in navy and green. Truly.

I don’t think she suits the browns and beiges she seems to favour at all.

And I, for one, am glad that H doesn’t wear the uniform any more as he is a disgrace to it.
