Part 5 of (mostly ๐Ÿ˜‚) drama-free and positive threads, delving into all things Meghan and Harry. Whether itโ€™s the causes they support, their business initiatives, or Meghanโ€™s fashion choices (Harryโ€™s too, on occasion ๐Ÿ˜‰), thereโ€™s plenty to discuss. Just a pro-tip - that there may be use of MLE terms and discussions of dupes - you might want to exit stage left if these things offend. Hat tip to @queentim for the original inspiration.

Bower also has some claims about Doria as well as Meghan.
People canโ€™t cherry pick when someone is credible. They either are or they arenโ€™t.

Although I am sure Tom Bower is delighted with his new fan base who Iโ€™m sure will now be going out to buy his books and believe everything in them!

GrouchyKiwi · 14/05/2024 11:05

There are photos of Kate & William hugging and dancing with people in this photo set from People magazine.

Warning: also contains photos of the awful yellow Alessandra Rich dress she wore on the very last day of the tour.

(And I'll leave it there, because this is meant to be about Meghan and Harry.)

....something about not seeing the wood for the trees going on here....

Your agenda is quite clear, believe me. It appears completely misfounded, so far as most of us are concerned.

I have to add that everyone that came into contact with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, were invited in to whichever event it was at that time. Everything had been arranged.

In sharp contrast to events involving the senior royals.

Folks, try as hard as you may, the point I and others are making is coming across loud and clear.

Bower's comment did not come from thin air.

I hear you!

Wickedlywearynamechanged · 14/05/2024 11:11

On another thread last week, posters were claiming this was an Invictus business trip. Is that still the case, do they think?

It was a combined trip for Invictus and Archewell. Harry and Meghan attended events for both. I did think it was only for Invictus because thatโ€™s what the tabloids were saying it was for (thatโ€™s what was being talked about on here). Iโ€™m glad it was both. Iโ€™m not even sure now that Harry announced the visit before hand? I only remember the Nigerian announcement. Harry and Meghan often donโ€™t announce attendance at events beforehand.

Another lovely photo @GrouchyKiwi a hug and a selfie in one photo!
Thanks for the link.

Is this a joke? So in your world, one is either 100% credible, on everything, or not?

Puhleeeeeese.

Anyway, I can tell that some... recent joiners to this thread... appear afflicted with, shall we say... wilful blindness in relation to proven racism in the BRF?

So sorry I can't help you!

Serenster · 14/05/2024 11:14

Proven racism in the BRF

Still missing any proof. Except for Harry, of course, repeatedly.

MummyJ12 · 14/05/2024 11:15

Absolutely, a source is either trusted or it isnโ€™t. How spurious to say otherwise.

To some, it is whatever suits the narrative.

But if you donโ€™t believe what Bower says about Meghan and Doria, why do you think he is more credible when talking about Charles? There is no evidence that any of his claims are truthful. If you believe one over the other, that is because you want to. What evidence do you have?

DiTePerdantTeMaledico · 14/05/2024 11:17

Harry is racist. To his colleagues.

He doesnโ€™t get a pass because he married a woman of colour.

mpsw · 14/05/2024 11:17

Lampzade · 12/05/2024 04:49

I agree with this
This is not a vanity project for Harry. It is not something to pass the time
This is something he is truly passionate about and I commend him for his efforts.
I think that his marriage to Meghan has given him confidence and he looks very happy.
As another poster said, he has found his purpose in life Isnโ€™t this what we are all looking for?
His detractors attempts to undermine the visit have proved to be futile imho.

It's definitely not a vanity project

But it's a small charity, whose work (other than when the Harry spotlight is turned on) does not attract attention.

There are about 500 athletes per Games (numbers rising)

Help4Heroes also runs sporting programmes for veterans, and has about 1500 participants annually (also rising). And there are other military charities which also overlap.

For further context in terms of size/reach, SSAFA helps 66,000 a year (serving, veterans, families) across a wide range of services, RBL about 27,000 directly plus ยฃmillions to other organisations including the Invictus Foundation.

I'm not saying it's not valuable - it very clearly is. Rather that it's size and scope should be seen in the wider picture of the overall reach of military charities and veteran support.

myrtleWilson · 14/05/2024 11:18

There are several photos of Kate hugging and taking selfies with people on the Caribbean tour, plus several of her crouching down holding peoples hands and listening to them plus one where she's holding a fish

Well, well, where do I start with stating the obvious?

Hint: Credible. On EVERYTHING.

jeffgoldblum · 14/05/2024 11:21

*Well, well, where do I start with stating the obvious?

So you're saying you do believe what he's said about Meghan and Doria then !
Ok .

Oh yikes - how does that work with the delinquency notice issued to Archewell on 3rd May - before the tour

TallerSally · 14/05/2024 11:26

I am soooooo enjoying this! Shows some posters up in their true colours!

Keep it coming, folks!

Iโ€™m a person of colour. Why do you have wilful blindness towards Prince Harryโ€™s proven record of racism?

DiTePerdantTeMaledico · 14/05/2024 11:28

And no. You canโ€™t help me. Iโ€™ve been here a long, long time.

I see what goes on all over the boards.

And trust me, the majority of it has done far, far less harm than the proven racist mansplaining away the racism his wife said she suffered.

Given that recollections vary so very much, Iโ€™m inclined to wait for proof of their claims.

However, IF she experienced it within the RF, he had zero business dismissing it as he did. And why would he if it were true? He said enough about everything else.

I feel for her as he should have been her champion.

All I know is that incidences of actual racism are now being brushed under the carpet in the real world as โ€˜unconscious biasโ€™ and โ€˜learning curvesโ€™.

When it is just pure racism.

I know who I thank for that.

DiTePerdantTeMaledico · 14/05/2024 11:29

I see true colours too. And nastiness of the highest order.

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 14/05/2024 11:30

DiTePerdantTeMaledico · 14/05/2024 10:49

Now you are just being far too sensible @MummyJ12 !!

Iโ€™m happy enough not trying to engineer examples of racism out of thin air and to try to allege things that have happened in a certain way when they have not.

Iโ€™ve experienced enough racism in my time. That was plenty.

Iโ€™ve no time to live my life in a bubble of perceived hatred. If folk are determined to see it in everything then folk will. It doesnโ€™t have to be real.

If I want that, Iโ€™ll go on another board here.

Couldnโ€™t agree with you more. I certainly will not take lectures on racism seriously from white people with an agenda.

DiTePerdantTeMaledico · 14/05/2024 11:31

If he is credible on everything, let us all talk about the awful things about Doria for example. Or Meghan.
