William Threatened Tatler and Camilla's niece help plant story

In the audio, the journo explains what happened when she referred to Kate as being thin.
William rang Tatler and The Daily Mail, arranged lunch with them and his staff to plant stories.
Camilla's niece who works at Tatler helped him twisted the true position to be favourable to William and Kate.

She says no British print media is allowed to say anything negative about Kate or William. The negative stories must be about Harry and Meghan.

It’s as if the plethora of online and independent media that is completely stealing a march on traditional media outlets don’t exist.

Well yes, but looking at some of the stuff that's linked from the cesspool of Twitter and the like, that seems almost worse

For all their many faults at least the MSM have some kind of limits on their behaviour, if only because they can be more readily sued

Icehockeyflowers · 27/04/2024 14:35

I believe that article. The RF and their PR are master puppeteers when it comes to keeping their image. Just look at the u turn to Camilla and Charles.

Titles and money mean everything to Harry and Meghan. Discuss

Ok. I think they are important in a way, but if it was the be all and end all to them they would have stayed in the UK inside the Royal Family, put up and shut up and smiled and waved their way through life instead.

I don’t have a shit attitude when it comes to mental health.

I have a shit attitude about those who lie and who seek to damage others with their lies.

Mental health issues are not an excuse to do that.

With their version of truth, they have irrevocably damaged attitudes to racism and made mental health issues seem shameful.

HE did not seek help for his pregnant wife. Despite allegedly having his own therapist. Despite talking about the importance of discussing mental health issues. Despite having access to professionals.

Mental health issues are not synonymous with victimhood and it is extremely offensive to suggest it is. Deciding anything and everyone else is responsible for your life’s choices is not a mental health issue. It’s a lack of self awareness and good character.

And this.

SuziQuinto · 27/04/2024 14:42

Clearly, both of them have MH problems. That is demonstrably true. They have talked about their lives openly, showing many times when neither could cope with life's challenges, having little in the way of determination and resilience. Drug use, collapsing, copious weeping - these are not people cut out for responsible public roles. Not everyone is.
However, they have had the money, means and opportunity to address their problems, unlike many people on NHS waiting lists. They clearly haven't overcome their issues and have just laid the blame on others and worse, been unfair and deceitful in the process.
If they want a Royal - celebrity lifestyle, fine. Go for it. But keep up with the therapy and stop blaming others.

If they were puppeteers, no need for a U turn, it would all have been positive from the get go.

Why don’t they give up the titles? They don’t need to be titled living in America, so why keep them?

Why live a lifestyle that requires an unsustainable level of funds?

Why do they complain about money not being available from the RF and the British Government through tax payer funded resources?

Why do they enter lucrative deals and spend their time behaving as quasi paid royals if money and titles mean nothing to them?

Why did they sell out their families for a large quantity of money from Netflix and Penguin if money means nothing to them?

Including a specialist obstetric team on call at the Portland, which includes ante natal maternal health support.

This would be fair.

If you read the linked post from page 2 at 13.46 which comments on the original Tatler article from 2020, you will see that history is being re written and that it has nothing to do with William dictating to Tatler what they should write 🙄

And water is wet…
It is obvious that KP is in cahoots with some of the British press. Anyone who thinks differently is very naive.
I have always believed Harry’s claims that senior members of the Royal family have made a Faustian Pact with the British press. Unfortunately, this means that they are at the mercy of the Murdoch press who will always have a hold over then.
William strikes me as a jealous, petulant man child who has been brought up to believe that he is the second coming.
He has always been extremely jealous of his younger brother and has done everything to discredit him
As far as I am concerned , all his efforts have been in vain because the British public still don’t like William and only tolerate him because of his wife.
Everyone and their dog knows that people really are not interested in William and his ‘charities’ . He just doesn’t have the ‘it’ factor.

This post would be spot on if you were talking about Harry ironically 😂😂 (apart from the wife bit!)
You obviously take zero notice of the YouGov poles……
Totally agree with you. Water is wet. So is Harry.

Prince William is twice as popular as Harry.

It wasn't toxic when Harry was little, and he and his mum were hounded by press in their faces all the time, trying to get away from the intrusion?
It wasn't toxic that his Dad was having an affair with someone else and knew his mum wasn't happy?
It wasn't toxic trying to navigate puberty and growing up with said press not letting up and scrutinising your every move?
It sounds hell. I'd have wanted to put some distance between it all as well.
Not everything in life is about titles and money.

Well it ALL "about titles and money" for this pair!!!

It is the "be all and end all" for them. They just didn't want to do the grunt work associated with the roles, and they want to make even more money! And to insist on titles for their children to, to perpetuate the connection to the RF - even though they never see them!

Camilla gained respect by keeping her head down, ignoring the shit, and getting on with the job. It appears she is personable as well, which helps. And I think all these years later, people can see that the marriage of Charles and Diana was always a mistake.

He's nearly 40. It's not an excuse any more.

Plus, William went through all of that and has managed not to behave like Harry.

I'm sure most people don't. Probably William shares with Catherine and his other close friends. Maybe he has therapy, maybe he takes joy in his children.
He certainly hasn't spent 4 years invading Harry's privacy, publisher books, doing interviews and a Netflix series moaning about his life and spreading questionable stories for money.

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 27/04/2024 22:54

Doesn't quite square with "putting distance between it all", does it? Monetising the supposedly intolerably toxic life, putting it into a book full of provable untruths, doing interview after interview about the supposedly toxic family, heaping his own toxicity onto it, and inviting scrutiny of his own character and relationship with the truth.
