William Threatened Tatler and Camilla's niece help plant story

In the audio, the journo explains what happened when she referred to Kate as being thin.
William rang Tatler and The Daily Mail, arranged lunch with them and his staff to plant stories.
Camilla's niece who works at Tatler helped him twisted the true position to be favourable to William and Kate.

She says no British print media is allowed to say anything negative about Kate or William. The negative stories must be about Harry and Meghan.

Not only is there no consideration that William went through it too, they have betrayed his confidence, his privacy and that of his wife and children.
For money.

Quite

For some of us it was never about their "wish to escape" - even though that's not what they said at the time that they wanted - but their behaviour since, and that's clear to see without any help at all from the wretched media

Naturally we all felt deeply for the brothers when their mum died, but Harry's got an awful lot of mileage out of "the little boy behind the coffin" and it's too often ignored that actually there were two of them there

SuziQuinto · 27/04/2024 13:57

I agree, harder for William with all the additional expectations.
I'm sure that he would never imagine Harry would behave in such an awful way. It's terrible when a sibling turns on you. Worse when they do it for money.

ArcaneWireless · 27/04/2024 14:00

And yet William was not mentioned at all in the poor wee Harry post.

Despite having it harder?

Lampzade · 27/04/2024 14:02

And water is wet…
It is obvious that KP is in cahoots with some of the British press. Anyone who thinks differently is very naive.
I have always believed Harry’s claims that senior members of the Royal family have made a Faustian Pact with the British press. Unfortunately, this means that they are at the mercy of the Murdoch press who will always have a hold over then.
William strikes me as a jealous, petulant man child who has been brought up to believe that he is the second coming.
He has always been extremely jealous of his younger brother and has done everything to discredit him
As far as I am concerned , all his efforts have been in vain because the British public still don’t like William and only tolerate him because of his wife.
Everyone and their dog knows that people really are not interested in William and his ‘charities’ . He just doesn’t have the ‘it’ factor.

SuziQuinto · 27/04/2024 14:05

I doubt very much that William is jealous of Harry.
Really. Look at how Harry behaves.
There is no Faustian pact, otherwise there would not have been the dreadful press William has received.

Not everything in life is about titles and money.

Try telling that to H&M!

The titles are everything to them.

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 27/04/2024 14:10

I think ARO jam has a whiff of envy, a hint of desperation, a soupçon on regret and a large dollop of wishful thinking.

ArcaneWireless · 27/04/2024 14:12

I think you are back to front with your soupçon and your dollop …

Once again, a poster forgetting William went through it all too, as well as being more aware of everything going on being the older child and his mother’s confident.

Not everything in life is about titles and money!!! 🤣🤣🤣 And yet Harry holds onto his hated titles for dear life, he and his wife use them as their only currency, they have burdened their children with them unnecessarily. And as for money…. Wagggghh, Pa cut me off. Waaaaggghh I only have a few millions off my mum and granny, why should I spend that on my lifestyle expectations when the UK tax payers could be footing the bill? Waaagghh, why do Spotify, Netflix and Penguin expect us to produce more output for their multi millions, don’t they know I’ve run out of shit to spew about my family?

Ok, try again 😕
I'm not forgetting William at all, I realise he'll have been through it all just as much, if not more as you say he'll have been older and probably aware of even more stuff 😥
I think he's got it even harder in a way as he's King one day and there's even more responsibility and harder to attempt to have more of a balanced life.
As for the rest of the post, you lost me at "waaaargh waaaargh, not worth engaging with that bit.

GoodAfternoonGoodEveningAndGoodnight · 27/04/2024 14:20

@Lampzade
Unfortunately, this means that they are at the mercy of the Murdoch press who will always have a hold over then

Agree, the Murdoch press is awful. To put it politely 😁

SuziQuinto · 27/04/2024 14:23

Good job not everything is controlled by Murdoch then and we still have a free press.

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 27/04/2024 14:24

@GoodAfternoonGoodEveningAndGoodnight Funny how you won’t engage with the bit that disproves your notion that money and titles don’t matter. It’s pretty much all that matters to them, provable through their own words and deed. The “wagghhh” represents their moaning through whatever means possible to make or take money and use their titles rather than their talents. I’m sorry it offended you so much that you got deleted.

GoodAfternoonGoodEveningAndGoodnight · 27/04/2024 14:25

Waaaargh waaaargh is not rational discussion.
That's why.

ArcaneWireless · 27/04/2024 14:26

And I repeat, not once was William mentioned in the original poor Harry post. They both had it hard. William arguably has it worse. And yet wasn’t mentioned.

Only one chose to be a perpetual victim.

Waaagh, alas, speaks a million words.

GoodAfternoonGoodEveningAndGoodnight · 27/04/2024 14:26

Really didn't offend me, I'm just trying to discuss here?
Waaaargh waaaargh?
Ok.

It’s as if the plethora of online and independent media that is completely stealing a march on traditional media outlets don’t exist.

Ok.

Well you got deleted for some reason. Why don’t you address the point? Titles and money mean everything to Harry and Meghan. Discuss.

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 27/04/2024 14:27

It’s as if the plethora of online and independent media that is completely stealing a march on traditional media outlets don’t exist.

Also, I think people genuinely don't understand that Murdoch does not control the Daily Mail, Daily Express, Guardian or Telegraph, the BBC, itv or C4 or C5 news.
It's sometimes difficult for people to challenge perpetuated falsehoods.

GoodAfternoonGoodEveningAndGoodnight · 27/04/2024 14:30

They both had it hard. William arguably has it worse

I agree with you there.

Only one chose to be a perpetual victim

See, this, to me is just a shit attitude and is why people don't speak out about any mental health problems, or if they are struggling bottle up.
Because if they do say anything, they're accused of being a "perpetual victim.'
😥

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 27/04/2024 14:34

Mental health issues are not synonymous with victimhood and it is extremely offensive to suggest it is. Deciding anything and everyone else is responsible for your life’s choices is not a mental health issue. It’s a lack of self awareness and good character.

It wasn't toxic when Harry was little, and he and his mum were hounded by press in their faces all the time, trying to get away from the intrusion?
It wasn't toxic that his Dad was having an affair with someone else and knew his mum wasn't happy?
It wasn't toxic trying to navigate puberty and growing up with said press not letting up and scrutinising your every move?
It sounds hell. I'd have wanted to put some distance between it all as well.
Not everything in life is about titles and money.

I agree with you, and Harry in interviews was always politely and humouresly critical of the press intrusion.

This is why its hard to understand, that its 'a hell' he and/or his wife are trying to recreate, its not like they are doing their own thing out of the limelight and breathing a sigh of relief he doesn't have to engage with the hated media anymore, on the contrary, he has even less privacy now than he ever had and is beholden to the media to showcase his efforts to be a self sufficient private citizen.
