William Threatened Tatler and Camilla's niece help plant story

In the audio, the journo explains what happened when she referred to Kate as being thin.
William rang Tatler and The Daily Mail, arranged lunch with them and his staff to plant stories.
Camilla's niece who works at Tatler helped him twisted the true position to be favourable to William and Kate.

She says no British print media is allowed to say anything negative about Kate or William. The negative stories must be about Harry and Meghan.

And have chosen to use the titles Prince and Princess for their children……

...after their mouthpiece Omid Scobie announced that the children wouldn't have titles!
They're comedy gold.

Just my regular reminder that he didn’t want to leave ( I can post the statement if you wish). He flounced off when he heard the word no.

Yes, at that point, pre covid, they were still talking about not reinventing the wheel, ie, not being the first to be kinda half in half out.

They upped and left because they didn't get their own way. And are still pretty miffed they're out. But of course it's somebody else's fault. It always is with them. So that's nothing new.

They're looking pretty happy to me in the photos I've seen online.
Life in California seems to be treating them well, so we must just all see things differently.
They don't ",look miffed" or maybe I just haven't painted that narrative in my head.
As I say we're all different and we're not them, you see miffed, pissed off or whatever I see two people who look like they are enjoying a much better quality of life in the USA (before anyone comes at me lol, having loads of money but trapped in a gilded cage sounds like my idea of hell.

SuziQuinto · 27/04/2024 13:02

They don't look unhappy, maybe it's what they wanted? The wealth, titles and privilege but not the hard work and commitment?
They are royals, just not official working ones, so none of that stress that they both found so difficult to manage.
Maybe Meghan always wanted to be a traditional wife, and be well known for fashion and baking.
Harry can play polo and present stuff. In all honesty I think other stuff was a bit too much for them.
An undemanding celebrity lifestyle sounds about right. That's their level.

ArcaneWireless · 27/04/2024 13:13

They do seem happy which I suppose is all people can hope for themselves.

Let us hope that that is a true reflection of their lives and not just acting chops.

And that they manage to align themselves with celebrities who do not have questionable backgrounds.

You are the company you keep.

HM had been dealing with all sorts of people much tougher than Harry for decades and was a very shrewd operator. I'm sure it pained her a good deal to say 'Nope, you're not having that' to a loved grandson but she was looking at the good of the Royal Family above the family. And as it turns out, she was an even better judge of character than she knew.

Well put yet again, MrsD
I may not admire the institution but I can certainly admire a (mostly) skilled operator when I see one, and for all the talk about Harry's "incredible bond" with the late Queen it's always sreemed to me she had his measure exactly

And yes before anyone says this it's a shame she didn't show the same insight with Andrew - it's why I added the "mostly" - but I suppose we all have a blind spot about something

Vespanest · 27/04/2024 13:23

Happy people do not tell need to tell the world how much they love their family and how they’d like to reunify. Happy usually means you come to terms and let it go, Harry does not present himself as someone who has come to terms, certainly not letting go of gripes. He’s happy when it’s on him, he looks like a fish out of water when roles reverse and he has to support Meghan.

SuziQuinto · 27/04/2024 13:27

They are very performative as a couple though, all the clutching at each other, it's fascinating. They want to present a certain image, a certain importance, but neither are really up to the standard.
They'll just continue to monetise their titles and connections to the RF and sell jam or yoga mats or moisturiser or whatever.
We'll see what Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet get up to.

You can still be feeling happier getting out of a toxic environment though but have underlying sadness that you wish things could be better family situation wise
I don't see a "fish out of water" look on him, but if there is the RF aren't well known for being the huggy, kissy type so maybe it's something you have to work on as it doesn't always come naturally?
They seem to have each others backs support wise anyway and that's good.

I also think happy people - genuinely happy people - do not actively seek to make others miserable.

WatchOutMissMarpleIsAbout · 27/04/2024 13:30

It was only toxic when they were told ‘no’. Up till then they were happy with half in half out proposal so clearly wasn’t that toxic.

GoodAfternoonGoodEveningAndGoodnight · 27/04/2024 13:31

I really hope they continue to try and keep their faces out of the limelight, and get the chance of a more normal, carefree childhood.

SuziQuinto · 27/04/2024 13:32

It couldn't have been that toxic because they never wanted out. It was just too much like hard work and they wanted to make dosh.
They wanted to stay in and do some of the stuff and "collaborate with the Queen" (sic).
No, I think polo and jam is more their level rather than dealing with Heads of State and representing a government.

It wasn't toxic when Harry was little, and he and his mum were hounded by press in their faces all the time, trying to get away from the intrusion?
It wasn't toxic that his Dad was having an affair with someone else and knew his mum wasn't happy?
It wasn't toxic trying to navigate puberty and growing up with said press not letting up and scrutinising your every move?
It sounds hell. I'd have wanted to put some distance between it all as well.
Not everything in life is about titles and money.

You pick up the phone, you do not resort to emotional blackmail on international TV, yet again trying to make the other side look unreasonable. Or use your brother children in the fluff piece whilst ensuring the privacy of your own.

SuziQuinto · 27/04/2024 13:44

True, @Vespanest . Their hypocrisy is something else.

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 27/04/2024 13:46

Once again, a poster forgetting William went through it all too, as well as being more aware of everything going on being the older child and his mother’s confident.

Not everything in life is about titles and money!!! 🤣🤣🤣 And yet Harry holds onto his hated titles for dear life, he and his wife use them as their only currency, they have burdened their children with them unnecessarily. And as for money…. Wagggghh, Pa cut me off. Waaaaggghh I only have a few millions off my mum and granny, why should I spend that on my lifestyle expectations when the UK tax payers could be footing the bill? Waaagghh, why do Spotify, Netflix and Penguin expect us to produce more output for their multi millions, don’t they know I’ve run out of shit to spew about my family?

ArcaneWireless · 27/04/2024 13:48
marge simpson money GIF

And yet one brother has made the best of his lot in life despite many more challenges.

And one has chosen to permanently wallow in the victim pool.

And worse, was very economical with the truth in order to bolster his/their victim status.

If not everything in life is about titles and money, they’ve got a very funny way of showing it

SuziQuinto · 27/04/2024 13:49

Not only is there no consideration that William went through it too, they have betrayed his confidence, his privacy and that of his wife and children.
For money.

ArcaneWireless · 27/04/2024 13:49

Cross post @Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar

Thankfully most have not had a swig of the fool-aid.

SuziQuinto · 27/04/2024 13:51

swig of the fool aid brilliant! 😂

SuziQuinto · 27/04/2024 13:52

I'm just grateful they're gone. Can you imagine if they'd had to step up over the last six months?

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 27/04/2024 13:52

Quite, @ArcaneWireless as well as being better informed about how many of their pathetic lies have been busted.

ArcaneWireless · 27/04/2024 13:53

And that is the worst of it @SuziQuinto

The sad thing is that M gets blamed for most of it.

H is not some poor unwitting fool. Just nasty, bitter, vindictive and fried.

doobie doobie doo.
