William Threatened Tatler and Camilla's niece help plant story

WhatAreThey · 24/04/2024 12:27

In the audio, the journo explains what happened when she referred to Kate as being thin.
William rang Tatler and The Daily Mail, arranged lunch with them and his staff to plant stories.
Camilla's niece who works at Tatler helped him twisted the true position to be favourable to William and Kate.

She says no British print media is allowed to say anything negative about Kate or William. The negative stories must be about Harry and Meghan.

Again, the irony!!!

That’s twice today I have noticed a familiar posting style !
Has the afternoon shift arrived ?

Devonisheaven · 29/04/2024 14:10

Why do you care so much to defend them so energetically? You’ve never met them, they don’t care about you! they don’t know you exist! Are you paid by Bouzy to defend them? I can’t think if any other reason why you would spend your energy on them! Sorry but imho it demonstrates a certain, unbalanced, desperation imho to defend people you have never met! Doesn't it strike any of you as, well, a little odd? Right back at you @Remembermetoonewholivedthere

^^ Thank you, by posting this sort of reply rather than addressing the point about why you all mind so much, you have demonstrated my point exactly!

Sorry I don’t know what Bouzy means in this context.

I am not defending them energetically. There’s barely an opportunity to do that on these threads inhabited by so many pro-Royals tbh. Me and another poster on here have simply pointed out that none of us can be sure of the facts. It’s hardly a controversial viewpoint!

MummyJ12 · 29/04/2024 14:19

Sarah Data admitted to having 30+ twitter accounts at any one time going. All funded. It’s surreal.

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 29/04/2024 14:20

Can't undermine non-negotiable truths? Resort to shouting, "Why do you, care?". Not heard the, "Are you paid by the Palace?" line for a while though. You are getting us mixed up with Meghan there. Why do we care? For my part, because the Sussexes are undermining our institutions, race bait and seek to undermine race relations in the UK, tell lies for money and celebrity, and their supporters are utterly disgusting and help make social media a cesspit. If those things don't bother you, then go and look in the mirror.

And why the need for “right back at you”?

Seriously? 😃

Can’t we try and be civil?

Most people just want to be able to air their views freely whatever side of the debate they are on.

Thedom · 29/04/2024 14:22

What I am bored with is the disdainful way that everyone treats opposing opinions on here.

Its not so much the differing opinion, its the toddler like 'but why, tell me why' 'what have I (they) done' despite posters explaining clearly and succinctly why they have the opinion they have, and backing it up with examples of why they have formed said opinion.

Going around in circles in an attempt to derail is boring and so obvious.

Again, nothing wrong with airing views. It’s the deliberate ignoring of actual facts that is boring. Do you care about the actual truth?

But even if they have done those things Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar and I fail to see how they have undermined race relations tbh, there are people in the public eye who have done far worse, like murder or sexual abuse, for example?
So I have trouble understanding why M and H in particular attract so much flack and so much criticism on thread after thread on here. I don’t think Liz Truss who lost the country millions attracted so many threads for example?

Where I differ with the majority on here is that I don’t think we can be sure of the actual truth because we have gleaned most of these facts through media ‘produced’, tv programmes and news reports and money is involved in all of those outlets. I remember I learned at university when researching first, secondary and third sources, that everyone’s view of the truth is slightly different.

I am not trying to derail. I am protesting about differing views being constantly shut down and derided.

And there is very little that is succinct about these threads.

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 29/04/2024 14:38

If you don’t think branding an entire country, its head of state and the institution behind it, and its entire media as racist, whilst spouting critical race theory nonsense a problem, then I’m sure you think everything this pair do is tickety boo. As a POC, I see it and experience the consequences quite differently.

This is the royal board and we are talking about the royals and their current activities . If you don’t think there were enough threads about Liz Truss, maybe you should have started some yourself.

Devonisheaven · 29/04/2024 14:38

I suggest you read your initial post again, it certainly wasn’t civil so expect replies in the same vein.

Invoking George Bernard.

It is like explaining quantum physics to custard sometimes on here.

But in the case of what was previously being discussed here, we can quite clearly see that Harry’s account in Spare of the shopping trip in the wellies bears no resemblance to what is portrayed in actual photos ie there was no one pursuing Meghan screaming and trying to take photos. And her photo was not on any magazine covers. So that not just a “slightly different view of the truth “

Agree, along with the faux no idea who Bouzy is.

Thank you for your answer. Did they really brand the entire country as racist? If so, I genuinely wasn’t aware of that. I do believe that it’s credible that Meghan experienced some racism within the Royal household but of course I don’t know for sure.

I won’t go on labouring the point but I think it’s clear that I was finding the discrepancy in the number of threads about H and M, and the number about Liz Truss, to be puzzling, when arguably LT losing the amount of money she did and increasing all of our mortgages, had much more of a direct affect on all of us than the actions of the second son of the RF and his wife.

MummyJ12 · 29/04/2024 14:47

I care about bullying.
The bullying of a very poorly Princess of Wales. Hounded until she was forced to make that public announcement. Even then, the bullying of her and her family did not and has not stopped.
The bullying of others at the hands of those African Parks rangers including the rape and torture of victims (And the silence that has followed the scandal).
The bullying and harassment of journalists, at least one of whom apparently had their house set on fire because they spoke out against the Sussexes. (And other journalists who were paid off with astronomical sums of money).
The bullying of normal people on social media who dare have a positive view of our Royal Family.
On this thread alone, Prince William has been targeted with untruthful comments, and posters on here accused of being immature; unreasonable and incapable of a civilised discussion. None of this is warranted but unfortunately it illustrates the kind of tactics and behaviour that we have come to expect. Like I posted yesterday. It’s exhausting. So many genuine questions in these posts go unanswered on these threads and it’s because the indefensible can’t be defended.

So why indulge it?

Absolutely nothing wrong with differing opinions; we all have them and are all entitled to do so

We're not entitled to our own facts though - not even Harry, who's told us himself that there's "just as much truth in what I remember and how I remember it as there is in so-called objective facts"

Devonisheaven · 29/04/2024 14:47

No what you are trying, very unsuccessfully I might add, is to try and shut down people discussing full stop because you don’t like their lies being brought out into the open, continue all you want but I will continue to comment, debate and talk about any public figure as much and as often as I like.

So it’s fine to accuse people of lying?

Again, I don’t know what it means. I am old and I don’t do a lot of sm except Mumsnet. Maybe that’s why?

Thank you for saying that people are entitled to different opinions. I appreciate it. Because often on here it feels like you can’t freely express an alternative view to the majority.
