William Threatened Tatler and Camilla's niece help plant story

In the audio, the journo explains what happened when she referred to Kate as being thin.
William rang Tatler and The Daily Mail, arranged lunch with them and his staff to plant stories.
Camilla's niece who works at Tatler helped him twisted the true position to be favourable to William and Kate.

She says no British print media is allowed to say anything negative about Kate or William. The negative stories must be about Harry and Meghan.

🙋🏻‍♀️I’ve never hidden my dislike for the pair of them! I find them completely abhorrent.

@Runnerinthenight I'm not sure what the Sussex Squad is but as the senior royals and those with their hands on the metaphorical steering wheel the car belongs to Charles and his wife and then then William & Kate . In terms of long seated contacts Meghan had none - their were no nieces at Tatler

I can’t believe that some posters are trying to justify Philip’s racist comments as being “non-pejorative” or “a product of his generation”!

We have a family member by marriage in their eighties in rural Essex who makes racist comments which we all strongly challenge him on. It’s never, EVER acceptable is it?

Camilla and Charles have been pictured laughing like school children in front of ethnic dancers when they were meant to be representing our country.

There was the incident with the member of the RF wearing the Blackamoor brooch.

And let’s not start on the origin of many of the Crown Jewels.

William simply saying “we are very much not a racist family” doesn’t make it so, because half the people who are racist are not aware they are! That’s the whole point surely? And ignorance is no excuse anymore. Not with the existence of the internet, not if you are well travelled and privileged with access to some of the best quality education in the land.

👏

Maybe read some of the threads here on the subject, for a start.

You do know the Royals follow the "never complain, never explain" ethos? I think it has served them well of late.

Runnerinthenight · 28/04/2024 03:00

So why do you support them then?

I’m not pro or anti Sussex or Wales.

It’s bullies I can’t stand.
Bullies killed my sister.
I hate bullies - both the online & in-person kind.

Devonisheaven · 28/04/2024 03:05

You must hate Meghan and Harry then, both bullies.

I don’t like any of them. 🤣

People that are racist and hunt animals aren’t my cup of tea, so that’s both ‘sides.

Equally I have some sympathy with them all being born into their roles. I can’t imagine it’s a happy life in many ways.

doubleshotcappuccino · 28/04/2024 03:06

How can you say you have such strong feelings for people you haven't met? My point is that by continuing to allow the media to go for Meghan and Harry is actually an own goal for the RF because for anyone with half a brain cell and an internet connection it's obvious that a deal could be done but they are choosing not to - it makes them look unable to rise above and be stately like the amazing Queen would have done.. obviously referring to the late Queen here !

Same!! I used to really like Prince Harry - I thought he seemed great fun! I was very receptive to Meghan - she was a beautiful woman and she made our popular prince happy.

Their behaviour over the last 4/5 years has really soured my opinion of them both, so no, I don't like them. Based on nothing bar their own public profile.

And I think anyone who can't see that is foolish and gullible.

Slavery? I can hear a barrel being scraped. Here's an idea, if you are white with British or British American ancestry, have a look into your family and how they will have benefitted from slavery and colonialism (most white people in the British Empire did on some level). Then have a think about the reparations you need to give for all your handed down white privilege and the apologies you need to make for your ancestors being complicit in that system. Or, on the other hand, accept that awful shit happened in the past, and concentrate on making the present and future better, which does not include condemning and posthumously battering past generations who lived under a completely different value system, or whitesplaining racism to people who have actually experienced it, or propagating critical race theory that makes the situation a hundred times worse for people of colour.

Brilliant post 👏👏👏👏👏

What evidence do you have of their bullying ? You seem to very passionately hate this mixed race couple you have never met

I don't think the late Queen would have done anything different. I don't have strong feelings either - just a point of view. And I actually have met Harry, briefly!!

Do you actually think M&H would do a deal? They want a heartfelt apology! What for, I really have no idea!

Except it was aimed at me as I was the one who mentioned slavery and I’ve already said in a pp that

‘I’m actually mixed race, my mother is not white, or British or American. My father is white but not British or American.’

Why?
You don’t know them.
You’ll never meet them.
They have absolutely no effect on your life whatsoever.
Your “abhorrence” could be directed towards something good and kind and respectful instead of something so negative and dark and hateful.

No not ever acceptable, I have a very close much loved immediate family member who I love very much but seriously don't love their shit racist views.

Well I am more pragmatic. If an elderly member of my family came out with racist comments (they don't, and I have very few of them left), I would be in camp 'love the sinner, hate the sin'. I would accept that they were a product of their time, and how they grew up, and so long as they didn't actively discriminate or upset anyone, I'd let them ramble on if they weren't harming anyone.

Go and read Jason Knauf’s statement that launched the bullying investigation, I believe the staff who were traumatised and left shaking in fear.

Well said! There are some very ill-informed people posting on this thread!

Why not try to discuss with them that their views aren’t acceptable and why?

A relative of mine used a phrase the other day that is now seen as not as acceptable as it once was, not to do with race but something else. Her 15 year old granddaughter daughter explained why it’s not the best and my relative took it on board. It’s a term we all grew up with but that’s no excuse not to use the one that’s more acceptable. She’s in her late 70s.

Ah another old chestnut from back in the days of yore to try and shut people down, won’t work I’m afraid! I shall keep posting to my dark and hateful hearts content, and by the way you have missed out “frothing” for the full bingo card, remember that for next time, it’s always good for a chuckle.
