Couldn't resist opening it with this from the last thread 😁

No man is hot if he participates in polo.
Sorry, Jilly Cooper fans!

Thedom · 19/04/2024 16:53

Sadly, I think all of Nacho's hotness has disappeared now that people have seen the insides of his mouth 😷

Who thought that photo was a good idea?

A dentist would have seen less.

ARO's biggest achievement seems to be making a very handsome man look unattractive. I'm not sure that was quite what they were going for.

Thedom · 19/04/2024 17:01

😂😂 read the captions.

I would have thought she would choose something more Californian since I think their target audience is probably American, unless the postage is really cheap.

That's the thing.

The 'American Riviera Orchard' thing is clearly Californian.

Yet strawberry jam is very English.

Just one of the reasons why it was a very odd product choice.

The whole 'brand' seems to have an identity crisis. What is its niche? Its target market? Its selling point?

I don't think they are anywhere near ready to do business. I'm not sure if they ever will be. I've never seen such a shambolic brand launch.

MrsLeonFarrell · 19/04/2024 17:02

Had a quick look at the Highgrove shop. Prices are a bit much for me, I love jewellery and scarves, but I'm glad the profits go to charity.

FloofCloud · 19/04/2024 17:05

@Thedom - 😂🤣😂 brilliant

spanieleyes · 19/04/2024 17:19

Highgrove strawberry preserve is now out of stock! Things are probably flying off the shelves!

Great! Giving to good causes.

It is all very sad. Well, not money going to help those in need, that's a good thing.

But they had so many opportunities to benefit others, and threw it all away to try to get even.more privilege for themselves

This is what grates with me, they were multi millionaires, probably amongst the most privileged and pampered people on earth yet it was still not enough, they wanted even more, it’s quite revolting really.

upinaballoon · 19/04/2024 17:45

Reading this thread I have realised that Nacho might be a person but I thought nachos were things on plates. Both, I suppose. Don't tell me any more. I'll google if I get bored, if I still remember his name. What with nachos and boozys I'm getting very trendy.

EdisonLighthouse · 19/04/2024 17:47

Nacho is a dog who puts it anywhere, constantly cheating on Delphi. The only thing he should be advertising is genital herpes creams!

If so, he should ask Harry for a shot of his Lizzie Arden cream.

Apparently it works a treat on festering knobs.

The Canadians are making a good showing for Trussell today.

Absolutely - as my dad used to say, when there's money on the table, everything goes out the window - people can be arseholes, but on top of that they can be greedy and entitled

Vespanest · 19/04/2024 18:35

It must be difficult for Meghan, 50 jars of jam have created so much publicity which for most new brands would be gold dust but the follower haven’t registered in the numbers they would have expected on instagram. Having people knock you isn’t the problem as long as you have the support. Meghans support even after a long week of jam is still not clear. She no wiser now and provided a week of entertainment mostly as her own expense. I dread to think how the cookery show is going to go down.

CosmosQueen · 19/04/2024 18:44

“did I tell you I love your jam?” Sounds like he said it under the duress. The picture makes it look like he’s being forced to eat it!

I reckon Meghan’s next to him twisting his right arm up his back……

EmpressOfTheThread · 19/04/2024 18:51

I am so looking forward to the cookery show! It'll be comedy gold, like the ARO and the ludicrous website.
I'm hoping that the credit titles include her Coat of Arms.....

Publicity? Or is it more about a huge worldly sigh ... what now ffs 🤦🏼‍♀️

It isn't even being filmed in their home

What would be the motivation to sign up?

Any of her 'fans', or simply those who were curious, will have signed up when the page 'launched' a few weeks ago. But there's nothing really new with this latest silliness. The photos, for what they're worth, were on other people's social media. Not hers, which is still empty. And it's not like there are any products for sale. All we got were a few mostly very minor 'celebrities' showing a silly basket with a jar, purportedly containing strawberry jam, with a wonky label.

As I said above, I don't think ARO is going to be ready to do business for some time. If ever. This drip feed launch is a very bad idea. She's just making herself into a meme.

I know. So predictable.

The messages on the Just Giving page are quite touching (and not in a 'one tear, left eye' way.) I hope some palace person shows some of them to Princess Kate and the King. Such warm feeling for them and recognition of the work the royal family do all the time for charity. A brilliant idea to raise money for those who need it.
