April 15th was the day our income tax filings were due. Maybe he is getting a tax break with his filing using the US as his domicile. Don't know enough about Federal or California tax laws.

However, to become a US citizen, he has to give up his title.

Good on harry, I don't blame him for making a decision that will benefit both himself and his family. I cannot imagine living the way the royals have to live and don't envy them one bit. He's broken free, a very brave move.

@Corinthiana Meghan was born a US citizen. Lili was born in the US. Archie is Meghan's son.

You take an oath of loyalty to the US Constitution.

Anyone who has publically called our First Amendment "bonkers" should think long and hard about taking such an oath.

I’d be more interested in what happens to Meghans title, I know if they divorced she could still use them. Harry being the only one without a title would be strange. There is a legal argument that this could be tested as he is being treated differently. I suppose it would depend who is in office.

For a true American citizen, the title would mean nothing. We are not a perfect country but the Constitution deserves to be honored.
