It seems to have gone the same way as their Sussex Royal site. I don't know much about social media or PR, but this all seems pretty odd and ineffectual.

I am surprised to see so many deletions on what has been a good, interesting thread.

I find this thread fascinating, and feel like finally people are starting to see what I see. That this pair have nothing to offer, Meghan is essentially a mediocre actor with a bullying unpleasant character and Harry was so smitten with adoration he lost any sense he had. Harry has no discernible talent whatsoever - at least not any that can be turned to making a living. So what can they do ? Given that they seem not to want advice, have a series of spectacular failures behind them, have been labelled 'grifters', and have burned all their bridges with the RF. The LIES that they told in the Oprah interview were just the start of the inexorable decline, but they couldn't see that and just went on digging their own grave. My eyes are on the relationship between the two - and whilst speculation is rather crass, they must be feeling the strain of the unsuccessful projects

Whilst I agree with some of your points, I do disagree with others.

for example. I don’t believe she ever intended to a a full time royal. She lied. Her intention was always to go the celeb and money route. Hence all the a listers at thr wedding.

secondly. I don’t understand what you mean by when the dust settles. It’s been nearly five years. It settled a long time ago.

and lastly no she would never have got away with bullying and shouting at interns. It is not the norm in any decent workplace. She was far from the lead in that. She’d have been written out.

now don’t get me wrong, I’d bet good money she was though deeply unpleasant to those she perceived as more junior to her. Because that behaviour doesn’t just come out of no where. It’s who she is.

What I have worked out is that posts will be deleted if they appear to be referencing other posters or other threads here in any way AND someone reports it. It can be seen as goading.

It is confusing because it’s not explicitly stated anywhere and these references happen all over MN without incident. But RFF is known as one of the more lively and contentious areas. It’s obviously not easy to moderate us. So if you appear to be doing this and it’s reported the post will be usually zapped.

Hope it’s ok that I’m explaining my take on things.

but there is two little kids caught up in this, fully estranged from all their family apart from Doria. With two parents at war with the world and who are completely self absorbed.

the issue is they need an income stream. A big one. As they won’t want to loose their lifestyle, but have no marketable skills. Just their names, which they have turned to mud, and their titles.

Someone online measured that Meghan averaged less than 2 minutes of screen time per episode over all 7 seasons of Suits. I doubt she could afford many diva moments on set. Saved those all up for the unsuspecting British public 🤣

I wonder if they look at the current situation, with two of the most senior royals out of action, and William also on a reduced schedule? They really could have been the 'superstars' they think they should be, if only they'd learned to be part of a team and not fixate on every stupid tabloid story.

4 years on, and they still seem not to have a clue what to do with themselves. They seem to be back to trying to play faux royal, but that's not really a thing in California. They're rich by normal people standards, but Montecito is not normal people standards. The big money deals they got 4 years ago won't happen again. Neither has any marketable talent or work ethic, so it's hard to see what they will do next.

I suppose it’s not in the spirit of the sit to speculate on the state of strangers’ marriage, but my positive view is that they will remain married for a long time.

Harry needs her to help him function in the real (or not RF) world family. Didn’t he say he’s never even bought a car or ordered something online or paid a bill?

Meghan needs him to stay relevant, in order to earn a living and for her personal goals.

I think they are probably also both quite superficial, in that sense of cool kids / drugs / parties, so probably rub along quite nicely. And of course they have children together and enough money for daily gripes to be easily dealt with, and share an enjoyment of victimhood vis a vis the RF.

So, I think they’ll stay together. And I hope they do. Best for everyone really.

In regards to the ARO I’ve still absolutely no idea about Harry and Megan’s support in the US and in particular financially. I would have expected more followers, there is no way of knowing how many are just there to snide. The public appearances are carefully managed so no large scale reception. Recent coverage isn’t great for the British viewpoint but then we are not their market. I’m still not sure if they have the equity to provide the yearly income they need.

I suspect that it's a Faustian bargain, at this point. She's nothing without him - just plain old Meghan Markle, former actress and if they divorce, former wife of Prince Harry - and his kids are Americans living with their American mum in California and she ain't coming back here! So for better or worse, for richer for poorer, they're stuck with each other.

I think they (M & H)are already much too toxic and tarnished for the significant Hollywood A listers to want to get involved with - I have heard the Clooneys and several others with significant 'star appeal' don't go anywhere near them. Probably afraid M&H will 'leak' any personal information they get their hands on

Quite a few A listers, and Kim Kardashian, were burned recently by jumping on the "Where's Kate?!" bandwagon. Only to have to backpedal furiously when she revealed her diagnosis. Even if they are pro Meghan, they won't be making that mistake again.

And imo the reason this thread has been able to continue with some interesting discussion is because every other post wasn't "You're RACIST if you don't worship Meghan!!!"

I'm sure there are plenty of Meghan supporters who don't pull that shit. But there are loads who usually try to shut every discussion down with it.
