King Charles support of his daughter(in law) is so very touching.

Please keep the comments positive and on topic. We have all had enough vitriol for weeks now.

Thank you, I appreciate you answering.

She’s a journalist who says she has known Camilla for many years. Did she hear this direct from Camilla or through hearsay I wonder.

If Camilla wanted that information out there, it seems cowardly and game playing to put it out there through a journalist friend. So either Camilla is unpleasant and cowardly and asked her journalist friend to write it, the friend has reported it against without Camillas permission or it’s hearsay and could be bollocks.

The journalist clearly doesn’t like Harry so I’ll take it with a bucket of salt.

I don’t think it’s uncommon to want to speak to an ill parent without a step parent there even if relationships are ok. Obviously if it did happen, Charles gets the final say on what he wants as he is the ill person in the centre of it all. If anyone else doesn’t like his choice, whether that’s Camilla or Harry, it’s tough.

What mess that family are in.

If it's not a direct quote then I apply the bs factor to anything for a royal source, journalist linked to a royal member and so on. It's all bs made up for click bait generating articles that most fall for and then think it's a fact. No it's just someone speculating or making stuff up. Given that the RF rarely comment or deny its easy to make this stuff up. Of course it would be a full time job in itself to answer to everything so I don't think they should.

Oh the Pope at a first communion party is hilarious 😂🤣

My friend gave me a tea-towel with John Paul II on it and I have at least one tea-towel with QEII on it. I use them but I always have a slight uneasiness as I wipe their faces around the plates. Still, if they weren't made and sold to be used as what they are, what were they for?

upinaballoon · 02/04/2024 14:02

"The photos were fantastic."

Alice, if you had visited Buckingham Palace in 2022, after the Diamond Jubilee, on the way out you would have found a life-size picture on the wall, put there on purpose, of several members of the RF. They were looking up at a fly-past. You and your friends/family could then stand beside it and get someone else to take a photograph of you, apparently with them on the balcony. There was a spot marked high up to show you where to look so that you were looking in the correct direction for the fly-past. Obviously the RF knew it was there - get your selfie with HM, no charge. It must have suited the sycophantic, forelock-tugging fawners like me down to the ground and gave a lot of people a smile.

I think it would be unusual for an ill parent who had been vilified by a relative and accused of racism by the relative's wife's spokesperson, and also verbally bullied by thar relative while his mum was dying to want to spend any time in a room with that relative without another trusted person present.

I want to know where the calim that Harry demand his dad "fix this" on that bisit originated. Does anyone know?

Isn’t a lot of stuff just made up by the tabloids? Maybe I’m just naive.

A fair point @Prydddan

i can’t imagine how stressful it would be to in a room alone with someone who could use or twist your words for dollars.

I would want someone around too.

Agreed. If you google KC and Harry you get a completely different story every few days.

Am I the only person who thinks the Kate & Charles cardboard cut outs are funny, 😂I'm sure they'll appreciate the support.

The idea of a Pope cardboard cut out at a first communion party is hilarious 😂

I suspect even the people who brought the cut outs think it’s funny! 😁

I was afraid to look for a minute there, @musthorse ! Fortunately, they're just fun inflatable dolls 😁

Really tempted now. My neighbour downstairs has some ghastly painting as you come in the front door, so a cutout of Kate welcoming you as you climb the stairs to my flat would up the kitsch ante considerably.

That would improve it immensely 😊

Who would buy a Kate mug?

I reckon those who might need to distract visitors from the blow up H&M fuckydolls having a quick rinse in the kitchen sink.

As mugs go, it isn’t offensive.

Unlike the dollies …

AliceOlive · 02/04/2024 22:28

No, not offensive at all. I’m just fascinated by it.

Now I guess I need to scroll up though and look again.
