I just wanted to share some thoughts I've had since talking to some RL friends last night. I'm a Republican, and didn't actually post much on any of the threads on here. But I did read them, laugh at the ones I found funny and speculated a little IRL. I enjoy robust mental health, but I feel a little sad and down today about the news. And a little guilty. It occurs to me that it might be a real source of distress to some other people. Not the big media ghouls, of course, they have no shame and will just move on to the next thing without looking back, but for those of us who bought in to the whole farrago and maybe posted things we now wish we hadn't. So remember, the media often manipulates us, the establishment often lies to us and it's actually a good thing not to immediately take what we're told at face value. Don't beat yourself up and find someone to talk to if you feel really bad about it. Take care of yourselves.

Staggered at the lengths people will go to to excuse the behaviour of the people who have been utterly shitty to Catherine. when they are not even apologising for it but seeking to portray their own victimhood brought about by their own stupid/shitty behaviour. Blake Lively is one. Christopher Bouzy is one. Omid Scobie another. I cannot stand Owen Jones, the misogynist shit that he is, but I have a great deal of grudging respect for his actually apologising and taking the full blame for what he's said about Catherine, and not seeking to make himself the victim in all this.

Eh? The announcement in January clearly said she was having abdominal surgery and would not be doing engagements until after Easter. You don't have major surgery unless you are seriously ill. So either he thought she was lying or he didn't bother to read the official announcement. Not that he's alone in that.

You're talking about them as if they are public property. With out you buying into them they wouldn't be who they are. You're encouraging them not me. How many threads have you been on to gossip about Kate.

You will be outnumbered eventually. The RF are not as popular as they once were. When the queen and Philip died that was it. People are fed up of this obsession with the royals. You have to understand that change is coming whether you like it or not.

Do have to wonder about the future of thr RF when AI progresses more as we move forward. What will their purpose be? It will be an interesting juxtaposition between an AI world and an archaic institution... I think we are staying to see that now but it will be even more stark in the future.

I just think that in January Kate went to hospital for 2 weeks! pretty heavy surgery there.Then everyone amazed she wouldnt be out to Easter. Mad speculation and theories abounded .Maybe Kate allowed some privacy ,but it seems not! Very bad all round .Hope she gets well soon .but having to make announcements about her health dont help!
